Lovely home in an affluent Portsmouth neighborhood in close proximity to Franklin Blvd. Very tastefully decorated. 3 bedrooms with a full bath upstairs. Another half bath located on the main floor. A very nice den with exercise area and laundry located in the basement. The dining room has been updated to seat 6 (not 4 as shown in the listing's photos). My family felt right at home! Sherry was extremely gracious to allow a last-minute date change modification due to an extenuating family circumstance. She was very accommodating. We look forward to staying with Sherry again!

Just what we were looking for. A peaceful getaway and time to unwind. The sunrises and sunsets were spectacular. The house was well stocked of all the necessities. The house was clean and just as described. Brought everything we needed but the host was very helpful and had recommendations for guests should they desire to venture out. They were very responsive and helpful. We hope to go back!

This farmhouse is 10 minutes from a main shopping area of a small town.The roads are easy to drive state routes, the directions clear.There are scenic views of woods, fields and barn lots, with other small houses at a short distance.The house is well laid out for multiple guests.Easy temp controls.There is easy flow between the kitchen and dining room, a wide doorway into the living room.2 bedrooms down with bath, 3 bedrooms up with bath.There are sleeping options in the basement on a queen futon, and on living room couches.Multiple comforters and couch throws.The bath linens are color coded.Lots of towel racks/hooks! The decor is lovely, the furnishings cozy and comfortable.The mattresses are very good. Everything spotless, including the basement recreation room with books, DVDs, WII system/accessories, ping pong. Washer/dryer.Great kitchen, completely equipped cookware, serving items, a small microwave.Outdoors- 2 spaces, both with firepits/seating. Carport, lots of parking.

Small, but very cozy. Hosts were responsive and polite. I would book again!

Perfect size for our family stay, host was so understanding with our situation. Home is old but Beautiful. No complaints here, will definitely rent on our upcoming stays!

Absolutely perfect location for a trip home to see family! The home is stocked to the brim with things to do on the colder days, right on the river with a beautiful view and several outdoor sitting areas to gather around a cozy fire. They even decorated the home for the holidays, our kids were beside themselves. Rich is always very easy to get ahold of in case you need help with anything and a wonderful host, highly recommend!!

When I opened the door, my jaw dropped. This is a beautiful historic home. When I say the pictures do not do it justice, it is an understatement. I’ve stayed at Christmas and it was more than toasty, fantastic historic radiators. I felt right at home. I found the plentiful accommodations in the kitchen perfect to bake Christmas cookies! Ben was super responsive and very kind. I read the reviews before booking and as a person that spent 20 years in the same place of the person that left the “bad” review, I know exactly where it’s coming from and is completely unfounded. I definitely will be coming back in the summer and testing out the “air-conditioning”. I’m not sure how you could not be cool in a spacious brick home, but we’ll see:) If you want to step back into history, and to have the hottest shower of your life, I definitely recommend.
