Large, warm and comfortable well appointed room and en suite. The house is in an idyllic rural location and the fact that I had the best night's sleep I'd had in weeks is testament to the relaxing quiet ambience of Carol's lovely home. A perfectly cooked breakfast of smoked haddock and poached eggs with mint tea (freshly picked from the garden) was the icing on the cake. Recommended.

Deze locatie is echt een droom. Niet alleen zijn Carol en haar man ongelofelijk vriendelijk, ze staan open voor vragen en geven heel leuke tips! De kamer zelf was prachtig. Een mooie badkamer, een goed en groot bed en dat alles super proper met prachtig uitzicht. Het ontbijt was daarnaast ook super lekker, er was veel keuze en de porties waren zeer goed. We kunnen niet anders dan deze locatie aanraden, wij zijn ongelofelijke fan. Een plek die vakantie en rust uitstraalt!

Fiona and her home are incredible! The room is the perfect oasis and the bed is super comfortable and an actual large king size bed. The house is gorgeous and so is the yard. Fiona herself is so welcoming and kind. She is a wealth of information about things in the area. The breakfast she makes is fit for a king, with home made bread, jam, eggs from her kitchen, delicious beverages and homemade granola! Book here if you have the chance!

This is a beautiful place to spend some time while in Scotland. Claire, Bruce (and Penny the dog) were warm and friendly hosts. The house was cozy and clean and the surroundings absolutely stunning. Easy to navigate even if you don’t have a rental vehicle, as taxis are readily available with knowledgeable drivers (and Claire and Bruce are happy to accommodate pick up and drops offs - even in the early morning if that’s what’s needed!). I’d definitely recommend this stay to any traveller looking for a peaceful rural experience.

My elderly aunt and mum stayed with Rose and praised the cleanliness of the home, sheer number of amenities (water kettle, coffee, tea, biscuits in room, games, shampoo, hair dryer, etc.) and friendliness of the hosts. Their room and bath were easy to access on the ground floor. Rose was always quick to respond to me and it was a comfort to know they were well looked after before my daughter’s wedding.

What can I say about Rose and Jake except absolutely amazing. Great hosts. Super responsive. The place was spotless. I miss lil Millie already. What a hidden gem. Rose and Jake’s will always be a home base in Scotland. Fantastic find.

My partner and I stayed here as a base for the Kielder Dark Skies running weekend. Mark was very communicative and flexible, especially considering our unusual schedule of nighttime running! It’s 20-25 mins to Kielder and not too far to the town of Newcastleton. We found the location beautiful and peaceful, with plenty of walks etc nearby. We met the adorable collie pup and Mark was great to chat to. I wouldn’t hesitate to book again.

The property itself as a whole is stunning. We stayed in the Courtyard room which was immaculate, big size as well. the pictures don’t do justice to it really. The location was ideal we walked to the local restaurant on our first night the food was great. The park and ride to the city was a 5 minute drive away parking is free and a day ticket for the tram is £4.50. We used it twice and is cheaper and faster than parking in the city The self service Breakfast was perfect for us. With a decent variety of food available. Danni is a great Host, wonderful to chat with, had loads of good local advice and just a very nice Lady. If we are back in Edinburgh we will be staying here again.

We couldn’t recommend Steph and Ned’s B&B more - what a beautiful space with fantastic hosts and a spectacular breakfast! They have gone out of their way to make their home comfortable, relaxing and special with so many additional touches that really elevated the experience. The surrounding area is also magnificent and there is loads of information provided about walks etc. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay, you really made the end of our Pennine Way journey so special.

Very peaceful location and squeky clean shower room/toilet. The house is 3 tram stops from city centre. The bed is bigger than in photos and much more spacious room. The host was very responsive and even gave me an extra fleece blanket apart from the duvet in the bedroom. Highly recommended for short stays.

Set in a stunning location, Lucy’s house was a real treat to stay in. We felt privileged to be allowed to be in such a beautiful home. We would highly recommend this accommodation.

Wir wurden sehr herzlich empfangen und haben uns direkt sehr wohl gefühlt. Clarance hat uns persönlich empfangen und wir konnten bereits am Vormittag in unser Zimmer und das Gepäck vor Ort lassen. Die Lage ist sehr toll, in 10 Min. ist man mit dem Bus in der Innenstadt, das Viertel ist sehr ruhig und angenehm. Das Zimmer ist sehr gross, das Frühstück super und Clarance hat uns mit allem Unterstütz was wir brauchten. Wir kommen wieder.

We had a amazing stay with Annabel and had a lovely breakfast in the morning. She was really nice and friendly and easy to communicate with. Would highly recommend her place!

What a beautiful home, in a beautiful location. Pat was an amazing host, was very responsive to my questions and went over and beyond to make me feel welcome. The dogs were extremely well natured and a delight to be around. I had a very relaxing weekend, with great food and company. So thanks again.

We stayed here with our two dogs to break the journey on our return home from Scotland. Patricia was so kind and friendly and a true dog lover. The garden was safe and enclosed so our dogs could have a good run around. The annex was super clean, very spacious and we had a lovely breakfast before setting off. I highly recommend Patricia's B&B.

Very clean and comfortable, Carol was a very friendly person who was extremely helpful. Breakfasts were excellent with a first class selection to chose from.
