We were very lucky to spend Christmas and New Year in this fantastic place, it was so beautifully clean, warm, and welcoming. A short walk to the local shops, café and every easy to walk into the city center. We were sad that our time came to an end but definitely will put this accommodation on our list to visit again! Thank you to the hosts!

Great location and stunning place. We were working unfortunately so we didn’t get to explore the grounds much but the stars were amazing of an evening.

The simplest way to review the Garden House is to say it’s perfect! Wonderful layout, fantastic light, generous amenities, lovely walkable neighborhood, comfortable bed, and very cozy even in cool January weather. Howard and Kathleen are charming hosts with a deep knowledge of Edinburgh. They provide an array of maps and guidebooks, and are happy to offer great local recommendations. We loved our stay and truly wish it were longer. When we return to Edinburgh, we would be thrilled to stay again.

A lovely property with everything you would need for a couple of days or a week. Warm and friendly hosts that make you feel right at home instantly. The bread and muffins fresh from the oven are such a lovely touch. The property has lots of character and charm. The finishing touches throughout really make it special, it's beautifully dressed out. It's quite a special place and the history of the property is really interesting. We loved walking through the peaceful village down to the river and had some very lovely food at the pub which is 5 minutes away. It's close enough to lots of amazing places to visit in Northumberland. The clearest sky, no light pollution, making for a magical view of the most amount of stars you may have ever seen.

This is our second year in a row at Jenny’s place. I took my partner for her birthday last year and she loved it that much we done it again this year. The accommodation is cosy ideal for a couple or small family. The pets have their own chat characters and are really friendly. The location is so quiet but only a short drive to amenities and attractions. Or as we decided just chill in the hot tub after dinner. The price is amazing and well worth it. We highly recommend anyone to try Jenny’s place we are sure you will love it.

A nice stone cottage in a rural setting. Very quiet and peaceful. The cottage consists of a small hall to put boots and coats in with 2 doors off the bedroom is straight ahead with the bathroom off the bedroom. The other door leads to the large lounge with a galley kitchen off. There is a table and chair outside the front. The kitchen is pretty well equipped with everything you need including tin foil and kitchen roll. The whole place was very clean in a pretty character farmhouse. Just note there isn't a TV. Shower pressure is a little low

What a fabulous little house! So cosy with beautiful views and a great cafe just across from it. Lovely walks over the cliffs - we saw dolphins and seals - amazing. Shame there’s not a pub in St Abs but we walked into Coldingham along the cliff path for a drink - we came back the same way as there isn’t a pavement on the road back but if you take torches the cliff path was okay - barely needed the torches as the moon was so bright. We will definitely be back again.

We loved our stay. The accommodation was so stylish and comfortable. Perfect hosts that have put so much love, thought and attention into making their guests feel welcome and looked after. We were in Edinburgh for a family gathering. This was a lovely place to stay. A beautiful quiet neighbourhood. Walking distance to Morningside and so easy to get to Edinburgh by bus or Uber. So many kind gesture, treats, fruit, breakfast supplies, coffee machine. They had thought of everything and it really added to our trip. Thank you so much!
