A fantastic family stay at this wonderful barn conversion. We couldn’t have asked for more. The location is great,just a few miles outside the main town of Galashields (which has everything in it….and some great delivery services) The property was spacious and catered for our needs and our wheelchair user. The hot tub is the icing on the cake,peaceful and tranquil at any time of the day. We would love to return in the future.

Ponadto, Marcin okazał się bardzo miły, pytał, czy niczego nam nie brakuje, i odpowiadał na wszystkie pytania. Jeszcze raz dziękuję za wspaniały pobyt! :) ENG: I rented this apartment for my parents for a week, and we were very happy with our choice. The apartment was clean and looked exactly like in the pictures. Additionally, Marcin was very good host, asked if we needed anything, and answered all our questions. A beautiful property, generally well equipped but could do with some champagne glasses

We have been coming to this site for many years and seen many changes, some good, some not so. As regular visitors we have stayed in other caravans on the site but this one was much better than others. The quality of the sofa bed in the lounge is amazing, so comfortable and perfect for the space, also incredibly easy to convert from sofa to bed. The mattresses on the beds in the rooms were of a higher quality and much thicker than others we have experienced in caravans here. Having Wifi was great as we were visiting during colder months so lovely to cosy up to watch movies. Even though it was -3 at one point during our stay we were always lovely and warm. I will look to book this caravan again, it really does have that little bit extra to make your stay more comfortable and enjoyable. The view over the lake is also an added bonus. Watching the sun rise through the trees was magical, especially after being so lucky seeing the northern lights too! Thank you for having us xx

What can i say, we have just come home from a week at the tibbie shiels caravan and i feel claustrophobic. The view and the area is completely stunning. The caravan is exactly as shown and described (slightly dated, but homely and usable) (i also wouldnt want a bright white sterile place to stay when you have the loch and hills to come back from). Alistair and Eleanor were so friendly and helpful throughout our stay and nothing was too much, even when they were fully booked with campers. The private little garden and gated area are just gorgeous next to the river facing st marys loch. We have stayed on site and travelled around the nearby towns and beauty spots. Weve had an amazing time....bring waterproofs. There were 2 adults, 2 big teenage lads, 2 kids and our dogs....it was a squeeze but we managed!! We will be back and we cant wait for the next adventure around the area! Thank you!

Que lugar maravilhoso. O apartamento é super aconchegante, limpo e tem tudo que precisamos. A anfitriã é muita atenciosa, e as instruções do check in foram excelentes. O lugar é bem localizado, perto de supermercado e farmácia. Fica 15 minutos andando para o centro da cidade.

Wonderful stay! The house was clean, spacious, and had everything we needed. The surrounding area was amazing, adding to the overall experience. Our host was incredibly friendly, lovely, and very responsive, making our stay truly delightful. Highly recommend!

Wir hatten eine wunderbare Zeit im Apartment. Die Bahn ist nur wenige Fußminuten entfernt. Ebenso ist auch ein Supermarkt (24/7 geöffnet) in der Nähe und von dort aus gibt es auch die Möglichkeit mit Bussen in die Stadt zu fahren. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

Had a fantastic couple of days staying at The Keep. Apartment was beautiful and spotlessly clean with lovely little little extras like fresh eggs from the chickens on the farm and a bottle of wine chilling in the fridge! Coming into the colder months it was especially lovely having the log burning fire on for a nice cosy night in. We were sad to leave and would love to stay again.

The apartment is comfortable, very well equipped and ideally situated near the Old Town and the centre of Edinburgh. It is also conveniently located near the University of Edinburgh. The owner is very helpful and extremely friendly. Parking might be an issue in the centre of the city but we've been able to book a parking space for a weekend, in a residence across the road.

Matt y Aure nos hicieron sentir como en casa. Ha sido un placer poder alojarnos allí y si la vida nos lo permite y se lo permite, volveremos. Todo tal cual las fotos. Muy atentos, servicios óptimos y tuvieron un problema con una tuberúa del que podríamos no habernos ni enterado, pero del que nos informaron y arreglaron de inmediato. Nos permitieron llegar antes del check-in y nos informaron de absolutamente todo lo interesante. Sin palabras. Sinceramente, increíbles. Nos encantraía algún día tomarnos la copa de vino con ellos que nos quedó pendiente. Gracias chicos ♥️

We had a fabulous stay for a few action packed days, mountain biking and walking. Amazing Sunday Lunch at The Gordon Arms. Superb location, thanks very much!

What an amazing find! it is a beautiful little village next to a pub that serves excellent food, best mushroom risotto I have ever had! We walked up a nearby hill to Drakes stone and the view was great, we looked around the ruin castle in the village and did a walk by the river all without having to get in a car. Location was peaceful and quiet and our dog had the best time ever. I highly recommend this place, the cottage itself is spotless and has everything you need utensils and appliance wise. There is a small shop in the pub next door. Karen communicated really well and I would definitely stay here again. We also travelled to nearby places such as Craster, Alnwick, Rothbury and Kielder from here and although it is a little journey the scenery is well worth it.

Comfortable accommodation

Loved our stay here - wild and remote spot in beautiful scenery, which was just what we wanted! The lack of WiFi was a bonus helping us to get away from it all. Despite snow, the cottage was lovely and warm, with loads of space to dry dogs and wet walking kit. Bigger than it looks in the photos with all you need in the kitchen and lots of logs for the fire. Would definitely recommend if you want a peaceful holiday!

Had a fantastic weekend at this beautiful cottage to celebrate my partner's birthday with our toddler. The property was in a great location, super private but easily accessible. The property itself was clean, cosy (despite the cold weather) and really comfortable (the cuddle chair and sofa were amazing!). There were lots of nice touches throughout and even toys available which kept our toddler entertained. Gary was a great host and very responsive. Would definitely recommend.

Kerry helped us out massively when another Airbnb host cancelled at the last minute. She was very responsive and got her property ready for us super quick. The property is beautiful and we can’t praise Kerry enough

Absolutely perfect! perfect place for a relaxing and private getaway with stunning views and quick easy access to shops and Edinburgh. As well as local wildlife such as golden eagle just round the corner absolutely brilliant.

Wir waren für 10 Tage in John‘s Ferienhaus, um Südschottland und die Gegend um Edinburgh kennenzulernen. Schon bevor wir ankamen, gab es ein Problem mit dem Mietwagen. Zum Glück hatten wir John als Gastgeber, der uns äußerst hilfsbereit unterstützte. Das Ferienhaus ist auf einem Bauernhof, es ist ruhig dort, das Haus selbst ist wunderschön eingerichtet, viel großzügiger als auf den Fotos, und es gibt alles, was man braucht, um sich wohlfühlen zu können. Manchmal haben wir uns schon Regen gewünscht, um nichts unternehmen zu müssen und ohne Sorge etwas zu versäumen, einen Tag mit Lesen am Kamin verbringen zu können. Die umgebende Landschaft ist geprägt von hügligen Schafweiden. In 10-minütiger Entfernung ist Galashiels, eine kleine Stadt mit Bahnanschluss nach Edinburgh, in der man Einkaufen und Essengehen kann. Von John‘s Unterkunft aus bieten sich Ausflüge nach Edinburgh, zu Seen, zur Ostküste Schottlands und zu den vielen kleinen Städtchen in Südschottland an.
