This is a character room with stunning views. The restaurant attached is well known in the local area for a high standard of food. We enjoyed visiting family and being able to walk back without the need for a taxi.

Beautiful location. Own parking area. Clean tidy rooms. Bathroom had a jacuzzi bath which was a god send after all the walks. Selection of cereal in room along with plenty of tea and coffee and a pint of milk in the fridge. Claire and Robbie were great hosts. Gave us a run down of Castleton and where to go. Friendly banter and made us feel very welcome. They were very responsive to anything we asked. Highly recommend this as a place to stay as it is accessible to so many walks including Mam Tor and Castleton has numerous pubs and restaurants to choose in such a small area so there is always somewhere to have refreshment and nourish after a walking day. We had a wonderful stay and loved our weekend. Thank you for having us. Our dog friendly room was luxurious, the bed was extremely comfortable and the en-suite was gorgeous. Our bedroom patio doors opened onto decking and out onto an enclosed garden, perfectly safe for our little dog to go outside. The shared downstairs space was lovely, very comfortable and homely. The homemade cakes were literally the best we have ever tasted and the cooked breakfast (veggie) was perfect, on both days. Our walk from the B&B took us straight to chatsworth house to Baslow and back and was perfect. The pub next door had wonderful beer (wainwright) and nice red wine (Rioja) and the food on both nights was great, with a lovely fire and dog friendly. Chris and Caroline were the perfect hosts, and made us feel welcome and comfortable. All in all the perfect birthday weekend. Thank you

Great hosts! Wonderful breakfast, perfect and thoughtful local recommendations, very welcoming, cute village location close to all Peak District tourist spots. Would certainly stay here again and recommend to others. Multiple pubs, bakery, and village shops right on the doorstep. Safe, cute, and comfortable place to stay for our Peak District mini break.

Florence's location was just where I needed it to be for a brief, one night stay in Doncaster, and at a very reasonable cost. I did not spend much time at her place, but my room was comfortable enough and Florence was a lovely host. I greatly appreciated both the refrigerator and the fan in the room. Please note, for those like me who might be older - the room I stayed in is on the very top floor (up 3 flights of stairs), the bathroom is down 2 flights of stairs from the room, and the stall shower was not operational during my stay (but the climb-in tub did jhave a hand-held shower unit).

Adrian was such a friendly and approachable host. Was extremely helpful in ensuring I had breakfast outside of the breakfast time. As a lone guest he really made me feel at ease. Really enjoyed my stay. Would definitely stay again.

We loved our short break at Hassop Station. The room was lovely, just as pictured. Bed was comfortable and we slept really well. Breakfast was tasty, with good vegetarian options too. We enjoyed walking on the Monsall Trail (which we could join just outside the station) and doing a bit of shopping in nearby Bakewell. Hassop Station Rooms are great for a short break and we'd throughly recommend them.

My friend and I stayed at Annette's while working on my own property locally. Not sure how many times two dusty builders turn up at their door, regardless she made us feel welcome. Although I'm not a breakfast person, it was absolutely delicious with a great selection. I cannot recommend a stay at Annette's highly enough.

The Old Vicarage is a lovely house in a nice village. There are many hikes you can do in the area. We enjoyed traveling the Peak District. The room was very clean and breakfast was great. Tricia was very friendly and welcomed us with a big smile. We recommend staying here strongly.

Comfy bed, hot shower and a friendly reception from Anne and other staff in the tea room made for a perfectly peaceful night away; exactly what we were after. A great location for interesting walks from the door - we walked down the valley to Matlock Bath and then on to Matlock via High Tor. Bonsall itself has plenty to enjoy. Superb service at breakfast - delicious food served quickly. Highly recommend.

Stephanie is an excellent host, going the extra mile to cater for my vegan needs, as well as providing a wonderful room for me to stay in. the room I stayed in was at the top of the house, with an en suite bathroom and blackout blinds. The location was perfect, as Buxton is fairly central in the Peaks. I wholeheartedly recommend Stephanie and her safe, warm home!

Lynn and Pete were fantastic and welcoming hosts! The Old Barn is in a secluded and charming location. Close enough to town (Buxton) and many hikes, but at the end of a little road near fields. Breakfast was a true highlight - Lynn makes an incredible full English breakfast and it was such a pleasure to chat in the mornings. We had a wonderful stay and would love to return some day.

Nic was an all round amazing host. Really helpful open communication and great advice on the local surroundings. The rooms were super comfortable and the breakfast offered was delicious, with plenty of options for everyone. Our party had reserved all the rooms, so had the place to ourselves and it was easy to come and go and relax at the dining room table. It was easy to find the place, thanks to the very helpful directions sent by Nic. It was a pleasure to stay there and would recommend it to anyone who asks and is visiting the area.

What an absolutely fantastic place to stay. So very kind allowing us to check out a little later too. We have finally found where we are going to stay when we come up to visit family. Absolutely wonderful hosts and a wonderful place to stay in the heart of Bakewell. The room was lovely and had everything we needed, the breakfast was lovely in the sister venue too and we felt really well looked after. Would 100% book to stay here again on a future visit.

We had such a lovely, peaceful stay in Gerry's beautiful home. Gerry was proactive and helpful, whilst also respecting our space. Our room and bathroom felt private, and it was great to have a comfy sitting area to relax in. The breakfast that was provided was a really nice touch (and the bread and marmalade were delicious)! There is so much to see and do in the local area, and we hope to be back for another stay in the future!

Le logement de Joanna est très beau et très propre. Elle pense à de nombreuses petites chose utiles en voyage: sèche-cheveux, bouteille d’eau, mouchoirs,… ce qui est très agréable. La cuisine était aussi à disposition. La maison est à 15 minutes à pied de la gare, dans un quartier résidentiel hors du centre-ville.

This place is AMAZING! we were looking for a place that will quiet and relaxed and close to the peak district and we got that and so much more. this new place is just what we needed. everything was so well planned, the room was clean and the bed so comfortable. Marta's food is incredible and they are both so.nice We can't wait for them to open the Yoga Studio they are planning on for when we can come again we really recommend staying here!!!

We had a lovely weekend at Leanda and Nigel's stunning place. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel very welcome, with homemade delicious cakes in the room and a 'Happy Birthday' message for my boyfriend. The room was great, matching pictures exactly, with nice bedding and soft towels provided. We spent some time chilling in the garden (lots of lovely little seating areas to choose from) and enjoying the sun and nature. Breakfast was delicious, with lots of options including homemade pancakes and a fry up, as well as pastries, cereals and fruit. This was a highlight of our trip! The surrounding nature was beautiful, with lots of hiking options - we walked from the house to Thor's Cave on foot - it was great not having to drive and find parking. We also drove to Buxton for dinner one evening, which has lots of good restaurant options. Nigel was very helpful drawing us maps for where to find parking! Overall we had a brilliant stay and would recommend to anyone!
