clean and spacious, had everything we needed. grocery store, coffee shop, and a couple restaurants within walking distance, with a bunch more restaurants just a 4 minute drive away

We had a peaceful and restful stay at Johnna’s place. The home is located in an isolated area among the trees. There is not much to do in the area and it rained our entire stay. However we were content to stay inside and relax. There are games and books available. The tv and wifi service are spotty but that’s to be expected being so far out. The home is comfortable and cozy. And we had plenty of space and everything we needed. We would highly recommend Johnna’s home.

This was our second stay at Delmar's home and we plan to stay again next year. That should sum up our satisfaction with our experience. We enjoyed sitting on the deck and watching the private planes taking off and landing. It's an easy walk to the Gyppo Ale Mill, the light house and the extensive tide pools below. The home is well appointed, comfortable and sparkling clean.

This location on Sea View Road in Shelter Cove overlooks the ocean. The windows throughout the house give you ocean views everywhere and the feeling of a wide 180 degree view of the ocean in the living room area. The place is perfectly equipped with kitchen, bathroom, bedding and laundry. It's so relaxing, it really transformed my mood. I also enjoyed the local restaurants, it's overall a very friendly, peaceful place.

My experience definitely exceeded expectations! Excellent kitchen with all of the cooking amenities I needed (including an outdoor propane grill)! Marcedes was very responsive to all of my questions before and after check-in, she was very friendly and set up the grill for us before we arrived. The home itself is beautiful and cozy (there were even some toys and books for my toddler!). My only flag is that there is no wifi. This was fine for us because the cell service is good in the area, but may be a challenge for those planning to use wifi. I would definitely stay here again!

A cozy home on a big pretty property, with easy access to the redwoods. With so many amenities in the house my family had a lovely, relaxing time.

Beautifully crafted tree house! So unique and cozy. The outdoor shower was nice and hot and we appreciated extra things like getting to use the hot tub. Lovely hosts! We had a wonderful stay.

Heather was very helpful in helping us plan our trip. Her space was fantastic and had everything we needed. We will definitely be visiting the area again and staying at Heather’s place in the future!

I absolutely loved staying here. Everything was so nice even though the weather wasn’t. Pictures are exact. I really love the promptness with answering any of my questions through messaging the homeowner. It was a perfect weekend.

Everything Is Nice

Best Vacation rental we have ever stayed in.  We were a little concerned at first as it looked like it was going to rain for much of our trip, but the house is really set up.  First off watching the giant breaking waves was like standing on the bow of a ship, amazing, mesmerizing. What a view!  The fireplace was nice and cozy, the kitchen totally stocked, even had Henckels cutlery.  The kids loved the super high-speed internet and Play Station 5 on the giant Sony TV. Ping pong madness, a 20’ shuffleboard table like in a bar, board games, puzzles.  Lots of room, inside and out.  Hot-tubbing in the rain while watching the waves was awesome.  Then the sun came out. Riding bikes along the airstrip to Gyppos.  Went golfing, on a course where you can see how it looks like when the gofers have won the battle.  Strolling giant Black Sand Beach. Our host Angie was super nice and genuinely friendly, and the place very clean.  All that to say...We are coming back for sure.

Nice and comfortable cabin in the woods. The house is very comfortable to be in with all the amenities that you would expect.

Kevin is a great host and his place is beautiful, just like on the photos. The house is super clean and spacious, we loved the riverside and the peaceful, quiet surroundings.

Stayed here for the long Thanksgiving Weekend. Excellent location right at the trailhead to the Black Sand Beach. The place has two decks, one gets the morning sun, the other the afternoon sun + the sunset. Good interior design, lots of space. Internet connection is very slow and definitely needs improvement

Our stay at Jennifer's cabin was above an beyond. Jennifer (and her adorable dog, Jaya) were there to greet and welcome us, she introduced us to all of the amenities, and made plenty of suggestions for activities and dining in the local area. Throughout our stay she was extremely attentive, and very responsive, always offering a helpful solution or advice. She truly made us feel like family, and made our stay stress-free-- which allowed us to really relax and soak in the *truly* beautiful environment that surrounded us. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Everything was absolutely wonderful. The only thing I would caution other guests about is the road to get into shelter cove. The switch backs are sharp and steep. Very hard on our vehicles brakes and there isn’t anything between the road and vast ravines. That being said, the views are unmatched, wildlife was exciting and the peaceful atmosphere were worth the trek.
