The location is in a quiet neighborhood a short walk from the Keihan line, which runs up and down the city and will take you all the way to Osaka if needed. If you like walking, you can get to Kawaramachi and Kyoto Station and beyond. The room was spacious, spotless, and well-furnished, equipped with everything I needed and more. The coffee table and entryway were stocked with a number of travel pamphlets. The building itself is charming in a very '80s way, but the elevator is smooth and quiet. Last but certainly not least, Sumi is a true superhost, bringing much-needed Kyoto hospitality to Airbnb accommodations. She was ready to help with anything related to my trip, even things I hadn't though of yet.

All four of us had been sharing a hotel room. It was nice to have separate bedrooms, and a living area. We also made use of the kitchen, appreciated the teas, and the tub room intrigued us. Thank you for your hospitality.

Sumi's apartment was perfect for us- comfortable bed, plenty of room for 2 people, close to restaurants and convenience stores and the Keihan line trains. It was filled with thoughtful touches and necessities to make our stay more comfortable. Sumi was incredibly generous with her time, providing us with detailed information and suggestions, allowing a very late night check in time and a lift to the station at the end of our stay. When we had a medical issue she organised the necessary pharmacy items we needed and took us to the hospital and waited with us. You could not find a kinder, more helpful host. Highly recommend this accommodation.

This was my third time staying. I have another booking upcoming . It is a sizeable apartment with everything I need to live in Kyoto. the location is perfect for my activities. Sumi makes sure I do not want for anything. the river is a block away, Keihan train is a few minute walk. I look forward to my next stay.

A very nice location to stay at while in Kyoto. Only about a 15 minute walk from Kyoto station and Sanjo metro station only about a 3 minute walk giving you an easy connection to the rest of the city. The wooden cypress bath was so relaxing and nice to soak in after a long day of walking. The outdoor bath was also very nice but being 6'2" (188cm) I couldn't really sit in it comfortably for too long. The apartment has basically everything you may need during your stay and check in was very straightforward and easy. Highly recommend!

We loved the apartment. Awesome location with many restaurants right across the river. So close to the train and bus stops, and a convenient store right around the corner. The neighborhood felt extremely safe with people walking around all the time even at night. Everything was super clean and a unique more traditional Japanese set up with the dining table and traditional shower. I would stay here again in a heart beat. Thanks for having us!

We are group of 3 Adults, and 2 kids. We were so enjoying our stay. The place was spacious, clean, every instructions is detailed and easy to understand. we love the tatami beds and kids also love it. The wooden bathtub is also great and fascinating! We would love to recommend this place and would love to come back again in the future! It was everything we need while we stayed in Kyoto! 🥰

Great home in a quiet and peaceful neighbourhood. Host was extremely friendly and helpful- especially with our bedding requirements. The house was so gorgeous! Will definitely look forward to staying again.

I stayed at Casa verde with my girlfriend for Christmas holidays and we had a beautiful stay. I can only say good things to be honest and the place was perfect for the 2 of us, quiet and we had very good communication with the landlord. I can only recommend it as for the price it is really worth it and much better than hotel. Felt like home. Many many thanks for making our stay that beautiful!

My second time here... Not the last one I hope! One of my favorite places in the world. Although the weather was bad, we had a really good time here me and my son. The house is really nice, and big. Yes I will come back next year!

Although it was challenging to find the place that’s more to the uniqueness of it on a small back lane in Kyoto and our late arrival. Once we were in we found ourselves very comfortable and with a different place to explore depending on which way we left in the morning. It’s an authentic experience of life in Japan in our opinion.

The perfect place to stay to be close to everything but not overwhelmed with tourists. Right across the river from all the bars and restaurants you could need
