Rose's apartment ticked all the boxes for our recent stay in Newcastle. The apartment was pristine clean, light filled and very comfortable. And its location is the best in Newcastle, with short walks to Darby St, Bar Beach, Hunter Street and the Cricketers Arms literally just around the corner (a bonus surprise and perfect for that relaxing post activity schooner in the afternoon). As regular interstate visitors to Newcastle we have stayed in Port Stephens, Merewether, Honeysuckle and Hunter Street but Cooks Hill generally and Rose's apartment specifically is the pick of Newcastle locations. It is also simple and easy to get to from Newcastle Airport. Thank you Rose for allowing us to stay in your lovely apartment and we have now found our 'go to' apartment for our future stays, of which there will be many.

It was a lovely accomodation that was close by to the town centre and beach. Kitchen equipped with a lot of utensils. Nice bathroom and spacious living space. Balcony has a decent view towards the bay.

We stayed here for two nights to wrap up our two-week holiday, and it was truly the cherry on top! The views were absolutely breathtaking, and the room was beautifully laid out and spotless—such a perfect place to end our adventure. The hosts were fantastic—so friendly and easy to communicate with, making our stay even more enjoyable. Just a little heads-up: Newcastle is quite hilly, so while the walk down to the cafes and beach is a breeze, the trek back up is a bit of a workout—but we didn’t mind the extra exercise! Also, the little basket of snacks and cereal you get was the cutest touch. We were too busy being tourists and eating out to enjoy it, but it was such a thoughtful detail. Honestly, we couldn’t fault a thing. Thank you for making the end of our trip so wonderful!

This was our second stay at this apartment, and we absolutely love it. The location is super convenient, and it has everything you could need. The mix of rustic charm and modern style makes it feel really welcoming. It’s also great to have a washing machine and dryer right there in the apartment building. The owner is friendly and very easy to communicate with. Just a heads up—the apartment is on the side of a steep road. It’s at the lower end, so it didn’t bother us at all, but it’s something to keep in mind if hills are an issue for you. Honestly, it’s pretty normal for Newcastle to have steep roads, and we got used to it quickly. Overall, we couldn’t recommend this place more!

I absolutely loved my stay. As a female travelling alone on this trip I felt completely secure. Found parking outside every night so could spot car out the window which was also comforting (just remember to move before 9am or start paying parking. This was super easy on parking app). Wonderful to head out early and walk the foreshore. Again - I always felt safe. The flat itself was peaceful with everything I needed. Quality linen and one of the comfiest couches ever. I will definitely choose again for my Newcastle visits. Thank you.

The apartment was spotlessly clean for our arrival. It is spacious, very comfortable with good quality furnishings and is very well equipped. Casey provided clear and easy instructions for access and having a car park was excellent as street parking is quite expensive. He also provided lots of helpful information on cafes, restaurants, walks & things to see and do. The location is good with cafes, restaurants, supermarket & tram access all nearby. Newcastle is very hilly in places and we did find the steep streets around the flat challenging at times. But then we are "older guys". If that doesn't bother you it is a great holiday let.

Wonderful place to stay in Newcastle, very nice and cool modern apartment, close to restaurants,vintage clothes shops and antiques. Look forward to visiting again soon. Recommend it highly.

A fantastic little place that is perfectly located near the Darby Street eateries. Well appointed and parking was easy across the street.

Julie is a wonderful host very easy to communicate with. We feel in love with Port Stephen’s and could imagine living there one day. Thank you Julie for the Christmas touches the kids very much enjoyed the lights. We hope to be back one day soon.

Amazing place to stay with our 2 small dogs. Yard was perfect. Bathrooms spotless, bed comfy, lounge comfy, wifi great and kitchen great. Handy beach shower in the yard and air-conditioned with ceiling fans perfect. Highly recommend this 👌

Clare was very friendly, helpful & always quickly responded to my messages. Great location : we ( inc dogs ) loved the morning & evening beach walk. When visiting Nelson Bay we will stay again at Clair’s ☺️

Five star property, would highly recommend. Best air b & b we have stayed in. Even better than the photos as everything is top quality. Lots of extra touches were greatly appreciated. My family and I had a lovely stay at Nathalie 's place. Location is great, communication with Nathalie was easy and the place was clean.

Jordan is a fantastic host- responsive and accommodating. He even allowed us to stay an extra night at a reasonable price. He made our stay very smooth. The house was perfectly located. Very close to amenities and attractions. The pool was lovely. It was great to be woken by bird song! The kitchen was very well stocked with appliances and condiments. It’s a quick stroll to Dutchie’s Beach, which is beautiful especially at sunset. The table tennis table was a hit. Unfortunately we didn’t get to use the kayak but will definitely try to next time. The bedroom and bathroom spaces were generous. I highly recommend Jordan’s place! I would like to go back next year.

Richard’s place suited our needs perfectly. The location is great - steps away from Jimmy’s beach and also the river for kayaking and pelican watching. A short drive to the patrolled surf beach. We’ll be back!

Enjoyed our stay. Parked the car up and didn’t use it for three days. House was comfortable and the location perfect. Great places to eat and get coffee around every corner. Proximity to the beach was great too!

Perfect for a weekend or even long term getaway. Location was great, right in the heart of the city, 5-mins walk to a couple local pubs, cafes and convenience stores and 15-mins walk to beach and light rail interchange. Also noticed quite a few buses with different bus routes around the area as well. Check in was a breeze and not that I had any issues but Mel was quick to reply once I had advised check in and check out. The place itself was fantastic, ducted air con throughout, 2 very big comfy beds, large lounge area and huge dining area with a kitchen that had what you need to cook for a large group of people, if you wished. Having access to a washing machine and dryer is always a plus, esp. when there’s a 2nd toilet and the bathroom was clean as well. Would definitely look to stay there again if going back up to Newcastle.

Fantastic stay at Connie’s apartment. There were clear instructions as to entry and car parking and entry to the apartment was via the lift from the basement car park. Everything in the apartment was perfect for us with comfortable beds, lovely bathrooms, and full facilities. Lovely private outdoor area with a relaxed ambiance. Certainly the best Airbnb we have stayed in and worth every penny!

Mark and Leah provide accommodation which is superbly clean and comfortable and has many little touches (such as the beach umbrella and towels, and the welcome drinks in the fridge) which make for a very pleasant stay. The highlight is definitely the wonderful view of the bay, the foreshore, the headlands and the pier, which always has something interesting to watch. They also provide excellent information for self check in before arrival, and access to the apartment and nearby parking is really easy. The location is excellent for access to cafes and restaurants nearby and also for some beautiful walks in the local area. For a week's stay, the washer and dryer are very handy too. There is also an excellent TV with Netflix, YouTube and Foxtel. The kitchen is especially well equipped, with both pod and a grounds coffee machines. We are well travelled and this was one of the most comfortable apartments we have stayed in. Thank you Mark and Leah.

Absolutely incredible views! I’ve recommend this place to friends and family, very clean and can not fault it at all. Grant was a pleasure to deal with! definitely would book again 🙂
