Rocky Acres is a charming little cottage tucked in one of the few seemingly flat area up a mountain side. We were greeted with many deer the first morning there (around 15 or 16). I enjoyed petting amd talking to the horses there. Later on, we wandered up the path to the very large moss covered boulders there on the property. We found prickly pear cactus nestled in the moss there. This place seemed to be pulled from a fairytale. The house is just 10 mins or so from Desota Park and not very far at all from Desota Falls, Little River Falls,1 a and Fort Payne. GPS doesn't recognize the adress. It brought us to the end of the road, but no farther. However, Derek had sent detailed instructions, and we found the house with no problems. We had a minor problem come up, and Derek fixed it very quickly. The road to the house is steep and a bit rough, but we took it slow and made it fine. We definitely would stay here again.

Catherine was a wonderful host! We booked last minute and her and her cleaner made everything work out perfectly for us! Any problems we had she answered within minutes and was proactive in getting anything she could done for us! We will definitely look forward to staying again

The house was perfect for what we needed. The beds were comfortable and the couch fit all of us comfortably for watching a movie. The game room was nice and the kids loved it. The deck was beautiful but rain and cold prevented us from enjoying it as much as we would have liked to. Angela was responsive and hospitable. There's a TV in all bedrooms, the living room and game room! I'd rent the house again and recommend to friends and family.

The cottage was very quaint and thoughtfully decorated. Amenities were thought out and easily located. We would recommend this location for anyone interested in a peaceful and relaxing setting.

We recently stayed at this beautiful home for our Christmas vacation and it was exactly like it was portrayed in the pictures! Everything was clean and put in its place. We felt right at home! The owner was super friendly. We would definitely stay again in the near future.

We loved this cabin. Kim is fabulous. I was looking to get a massage in the cabin. Kim found some recommendations for me immediately. My husband and I have never slept as good as we did on the mattress in the master bedroom. We had to ask the brand we want to buy one. The furniture is very comfortable outside and inside. The sheets are good not cheap. The kitchen is great and we cooked in every night. A nice Publix is right down the road. The screen porch with fire table and tv was just incredible. We are both in our 40s and had fun in the game room playing basketball, air hockey, and darts. We had a fabulous lunch at the clubhouse . Chicken salad was delicious. We highly recommend Garland Mtn Sporting Clays. They were so friendly and it was a fun course with hopping “rabbits” and clays bouncing off items. The deer at the cabin are so fun. We’ve never been that close to wild deer (alive) and they do eat from your hand. Rent this cabin!!

Alicia went over and beyond. This is the third time my family has spent approximately a week at this location. Without me telling them, they saw the ages of my children, and made sure there were pack and plays set up for the baby in two separate rooms. The house has a great location, and is cozy, you will feel right at home. My children love the spot and see it as a home away from home at this point. I have used AirBNBs for years, but will continue to use Alicia's spot. If you have children I highly encourage this location.

My fiancée and her bridesmaid had the absolute best time at the cabin for her bachelorette weekend. From the moment they arrived, they were in awe of the beautiful view and how cozy everything felt. The cabin had such a warm, homey vibe, making them feel comfortable and relaxed throughout their stay. She hasn’t stopped talking about how perfect everything was—from the scenic surroundings to the way the space was set up for everyone to enjoy. This place exceeded all expectations and truly made her celebration memorable!
