Comfy beds, private location, clean and new. Second time we have stayed here and not the last. Host was very responsive and quick to respond. Linens and towels were soft and new.

We had a GREAT stay at the River House. The home is beautifully & thoughtfully modernized to make it a very cozy place to stay. The charming historic rail town of Dunsmuir turned out to be very convenient to all the local sightseeing we planned - skiing, cavern tours & several beautiful waterfall hikes. We loved the Mt. Shasta area and hope to visit again!

Crystal's place is my go-to when traveling for business to Happy Camp. Always easy breezy and a great place to stay!

From the outside, this appears to be just like any other house, but a lot of love has gone into the inside, making this probably the nicest place in town! And it is a real home, not a bunch of cheap IKEA things. Spacious and taken care of. There is even a little “gift shop.” If you’re here, it’s for hiking the various mountain parks and trails. We were surprised that even in April, you could find a foot of snow, so pack accordingly. This is a century home, but with several modes for heating, making it warm and cozy.

At Janet’s place, you don’t just stay—you truly feel like you belong. There’s a deep sense of connection, of being part of something bigger. Black Butte stands in its perfect triangular shape outside the kitchen window, and Mt. Shasta sits in full view from the living room, like a quiet guardian blessing the space. Light flows through the house, bringing warmth and a peaceful presence. With open views of Mt. Shasta, it feels like nature is gently holding and guiding you. You can witness sunrises, sunsets, moonrises, and moonsets—all from one spot. That alone is such a gift. The location is ideal—calm and quiet, yet close to town and everything you need. Janet’s local tips were helpful and added to the experience. She communicates with kindness and clarity. The space is clean, peaceful, and energetically aligned. You can feel it’s held with care and intention. The presence of St. Germain’s energy is subtle but strong. Highly recommend—and we’d love to come back.

Claudia’s home was absolutely beautiful! Nestled amongst evergreens with plenty of space for the kids to play, snow or shine :) The home itself was open and welcoming, with wonderful, rustic decor and family style kitchen with all the amenities. The bedrooms were generously sized, and had the most comfortable beds! We will definitely be coming back! Sarah and Family

A nice, peaceful and beautiful place. Conveniently located, almost 15 mins to Mt Shasta City. Host was very friendly, responsive and accommodated our odd hours checkin and checkout. Very knowledgeable about the area as well.

It was a sweet beautiful little spot and within driving distance to all the waterfalls I was hoping to see. She was also very responsive anytime I reached out.

John was very friendly and welcoming. We felt completely at home on his and Sandy’s beautiful property! It’s a peaceful and enchanting getaway in the forest, yet an easy five minutes from town. We didn’t want to leave.

We loved everything about our stay and the hospitality of our hostess Thyra. Thyra was extremely responsive to any messages we sent and questions we asked. We took Thyra up on complimentary breakfast items and made breakfast before going and exploring the gorgeous water falls that are just a short walk away. We were uneasy about some winter storm warnings and Thyra provided clear instructions for how to get to the house on the first night and was responsive to our late night messages towards our arrival. We enjoyed our stay and we plan on booking with Thyra again very soon!
