Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt! Die Ferienwohnung ist ein guter Ausgangspunkt um den Norden zu erkunden.

Absolutely stunning location! It’s easily accessible to Akureyri while still being secluded and located almost on the water. There are 5 cabins but they’re nicely spaced out so you still feel a sense of privacy. The hot tub was lovely, though since it doesn’t use jets, the water recycling through was quite loud and detracted a bit from the peaceful experience. Regardless we loved staying here for one night, and wish we could have stayed longer. As mentioned the view is breathtaking, and the cabin has all the essentials you would need for your stay.

Die Unterkunft von Gudrun war einfach wundervoll. Wir haben uns sofort rundum wohlgefühlt. Alles in der Wohnung war perfekt und mit viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet. Besonders die atemberaubende Aussicht hat uns beeindruckt. Der Kamin sorgte abends für eine gemütliche, heimelige Atmosphäre. Ein unvergessliches Erlebnis war der Whirlpool, in dem wir entspannten und gleichzeitig die Polarlichter bewundern konnten – einfach magisch! Wir können diese Unterkunft uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen und würden jederzeit wiederkommen. Ganz liebe Grüsse aus der Schweiz.

Absolutely wonderful place. Exactly as described. Breathtaking views. Well equiped. Amazing deck from which to watch the fjord and a stunning sunrise. The hot tub was easy to use and a great asset to the property. Lovely walks nearby. Take the binoculars with you and if you spot a whale watching boat do pay attention to them, we saw whales from the island. 10min walk into the village. The Nespresso coffee machine was a lovely surprise (including a lot of capsules) Was hoping for a peaceful relaxing break and that is exactly what we got. Hope to come back again.

Marino is such a great host to help out even we got trapped out of the house one night. Definitely recommend you to stay here with the superb view in the summer and we’d definitely come back next time if we get the chance!

Had a great winter retreat at Lea's cabin. It's wonderfully located, with beautiful views of the surrounding mountains. The cabin is equipped with everything you need, from BBQ to hot tub. Bonus points for the Northern Lights we got on NYE!

The whole place was just magical - right at the waterfront with a beautiful view from the bedrooms and the hot tub. It is even way more modern than in the pictures - our expectations were totally fulfilled. We were staying with a group of 8 people in total so with the key system it was just really easy to organize everything. Definetly recommend booking it and staying with them!

Bjorgvin’s house was perfect for our 3 nights here in the quaint little town of Hrísey. The views on this island alone were incredible, especially the view from his house. During our stay, we had a front row seat to the northern lights every night. Since we came in the winter season (Feb 2025) the heating in the house worked perfectly and was greatly appreciated, as well as the hot tub! FYI for those coming in the winter, the restaurants on the island (Brekka specifically) are closed for the season. Bjorgvin and Tinna were wonderful hosts too - Bjorgvin messaged us detailed instructions before our arrival, and made sure to check in with us via the Airbnb app during our stay to make sure we had everything we needed. Thank you so much Bjorgvin & Tinna! We’d love to come back for the summer season!

Haus war sehr klein, aber alles vorhanden - wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Highlight war das Trampolin für die Kinder. Die Gastgeber waren super freundlich und haben uns Tipps gegeben. Einziger kleiner Minuspunkt war der starke Schwefelgeruch des Warmwassers (stärker, als wir das sonst erlebt haben).

Lea's Airbnb is an absolute must-stay when in the northern part of Iceland. The scenery felt like it was from a movie, the place was spotless and full of amenities that I really only had to go into town once for groceries. We ended up having to change our plans (due to Iceland's infamous unpredictable weather) and reached out to Lea to see if we could add a night to our stay. She replied within a few minutes that she would be happy to help. We loved the clear directions for driving there as well as how to fill up the hot tub! We absolutely will be coming back in the summer time.
