We had such a fabulous stay at Carole’s place in Warton. The lodge was immaculate and so well equipped with everything we needed. The location was quiet, private and set around a lovely small lake. 30 minute drive to Windermere and 15 minutes to Lancaster. Would highly recommend and look forward to staying again in the future.

Our group of 7 adults and 3 kids really enjoyed our stay. The place was cozy, comfortable and had everything we needed. It provided the perfect getaway and we will definitely be back.

This was the perfect place for exploring Kendal and the surrounding Lakes. We parked the car on the drive and didn’t move it for our entire stay, choosing to walk and use the very handy public transport to get around instead. We arrived at the spotlessly clean and very well equipped house around 3, then had a lovely sunset walk up to Kendal Castle before using the amazing lounge for a family games night - loads of room on the coffee table and very comfy sofas! The next day we caught the 555 bus to Windermere for £3, it took a very scenic 30 minutes and we had an amazing day exploring Windermere and Bowness before returning to use the pool and hot tub at the hotel 2 minutes away, then using amazing kitchen facilities to cook a family meal and have have a poker tournament! On our final full day we packed some lunch and had a walk to Scout Scar - amazing views. We then had the one of best meal’s we’ve had at Pappy’s Texas BBQ - would definately recommend booking in advance. Amazing!

Family of 4 stayed 3 nights in October 2024 and it was just what we needed. Had some beautiful long walks along the beach. The caravan was home from home, clean and cosy. It had everything you could want for cooking a simple breakfast to Sunday Roast. Clean and respectful surroundings around the park. I would definitely recommend to family and friends.

House was as described, beautiful setting with wonderful views of the hills and mountains. Rooms are spacious with comfy beds and bathrooms are nicely finished with good showers. Kitchen is a good size and has all required implements. A great location for exploring the central lakes and soaking up all that Ambleside has to offer.

Our family had a lovely stay at Burrowbank at the end of the summer holiday. The house is fantastic with all the facilities you could ask for. The kids loved the swings and most of all the pool, while the covered (heated) BBQ area meant evening meals outside watching the sunset. Great location and setting, very private and we would definitely come again and recommend to others. Martyn and Christine were very helpful and went the extra mile (even posting my daughter’s disposable camera that she left behind). Can’t think of any negatives and we made some great/happy memories.

Great time here. Beautiful surroundings, walks and nature…coupled with good facilities on site for those rainy days. Great time. Will come again.

The property was superb, even better than the photographs. It’s ideally situated for access to Bowness and surrounding area. The views from the outside terrace were fabulous - even though the weather was mixed! The hot tub and games room were well used and enjoyed by our mixed age group. Overall a brilliant holiday in a beautiful home and David our host met us at the property and even allowed us in early!

Would 100% recommend staying at the Riverain Coach House. We recently stayed with some friends and enjoyed local walks close to the house, a good selection of local pubs nearby but would recommend pre-booking to avoid disappointment. However with Penrith and shops being only 10 minutes away, it wasn't a problem. The house has been done up beautifully and is really well equipped. Christine was great, providing lots of helpful information before our stay and the welcome hamper went down a treat. Thank you so much, we would 100% stay again.

Great stay! Really spacious and location is amazing. So close to the lake and so close to the city. Loved the stay.

Myself and my friends had an excellent stay at Sue’s property with our dogs. It helped that the weather was lovely but the cottage would have been so cosy and comfortable regardless. Sue’s instructions were helpful in finding the property and the cottage itself was spotless and well equipped. We have had a very relaxing stay and will definitely look to visit again next time!! Great sized place with all you could need. Walkable to the seafront and all the local attractions. Hosts are friendly and responded quickly when we had an issue. Would definitely come back

Great place to stay close to Windermere. Easy to commute across the Lakes. The house was beautiful & clean. Will definitely come back again.

We had a lovely stay at Skipton at Six. The property has everything you could possibly need for a stay of any length. The kitchen was really well equipped and the bedrooms were spacious. Plenty of parking nearby, and we found the area very quiet at night, whilst being only a short walk into the centre of town. We had our dog, who also enjoyed her stay!

We spent only one night at Naomi’s place, arriving very late after a family event, but it was a pleasant overnight stay with super comfortable beds and a great shower in the morning. I left a necklace behind and Naomi and Darren kindly looked for it and sent it to me by registered post, for which I am very grateful.

The house was as described. Very quiet on an evening. Great location for walking in the lakes following our walk up Scarfell Pike and Ennerdale. It’s not particularly a tourist location but a great base! All locals really friendly and Everything was expected and described.

Honestly blown away with this place! Booked for my partners birthday for 2 nights and it was absolutely gorgeous! Such a beautiful place with loads of space and the garden is just beautiful! I will 100% be back! So many lovely takeaways near by if you just want a quiet few days in and a Tesco express literally right round the corner. Would recommend 1000%!

Was as described and cleaned to a high standard. Games room and jacuzzi was a great addition too! Will definitely stay in the future again!

Staying at Lorna's place was very nice. The space is warm and cute, it has the essentials. When we arrived we found bread, milk, coffee and tea for us. The bed is comfortable and everything works fine. Thank you for everything Lorna!!

Simon’s place is fabulous. Luxurious, with everything you could need. Such a short walk into Bowness but so peaceful too, and those views! We had the best family short break and didn’t want to leave. Simon was a great host, start to finish.

Fully met our expectations, furniture and fittings of a superior quality. The master suite is amazing. Lots of crockery and cooking utensils. We were 3 generations and plenty of space for us all. Would not hesitate in recommending to others.
