We recently stayed at Carter’s Hideaway near Fairy Stone State Park, and it was an excellent spot for a peaceful getaway. It was just the two of us, so we only used the main cabin, which was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The location is private and quiet, making it a great place to unwind. While the pool wasn’t open for the season, we still enjoyed the beautiful surroundings and easy access to Fairy Stone State Park and Philpott Lake. We’re already planning to come back this summer with the kids! Both cabins will give us plenty of space, and we look forward to fully utilizing the pool. This is an excellent rental for families or groups looking to enjoy nature with the comforts of home.

Lovely Little Cabin! Gretchen was responsive and friendly. Comfy living space and secluded location complete with a babbling brook. Would definitely recommend.

This was the perfect place for my bachelorette trip! We really enjoyed the coziness of the house and that it was a short drive from a lot of local attractions. Kristen was very responsive and accommodating!

Michelle is very responsive and always responded to messages within minutes. The listing is very comfortable and easily accommodates a large family. Two different living areas allow you to spread out and the large kitchen table is perfect for family meals and playing games. Highly recommend!

Has everything you need. Great views and the locals are extremely friendly! The home itself was very comfortable for a relaxing stay. Our internet was out due to winter storms. But the host did everything he could to get it working, which we very much appreciate. The views are absolutely wonderful and the hot tub is such a bonus! If you come here, take the time to visit the Chateau Morrisette Restaurant. There is no relation to this Airbnb, but has the best food and serve I’ve ever experienced. Love that this house is not too far from everything in the area, but far enough that you’ll barely hear any cars or neighbors. Another great place is the Crossroads Cafe just a 5 minute drive. Thanks for our stay!

The cabin was absolutely wonderful exactly how the pictures describe cozy comfortable everything you need for a wonderful stay. I would caution. The river looks much closer than it is. It’s a beautiful view, but walking down to it is probably not something most people are going to want to do. I was content to make s’mores and sit by the fire. Would absolutely recommend this place to anyone that wants a quiet peaceful getaway Lynchburg was a very easy drive. If you want to go into town for anything. The beds were comfortable. All of the linens were provided. The kitchen is fully stocked. The TV is wonderful and intuitive and easy to use. Have only great things to say about this place. Would definitely put this on my list of places to stay again.

Ashera and Luke were about the best hosts and now friends you could ask for. Their beautiful, well built rustic cabin was cozy with all the amenities we needed. The property is breathtaking, with a space for every need or want. We stayed for a respite from home in WNC and overwhelming emotions and energy from Helene, and our hosts were more supportive than we ever could have asked for. We will definitely be making this a regular getaway and sanctuary. Absolutely loved the stay and our hosts.

Just as described. Cabin was very private. It was spacious and though not updated with modern appliances and decor, (it is as pictured) that is part of the charm. This is a true vintage cabin that gives you a place to relax and enjoy nature. Our host was very kind and easy to communicate with. I would stay here again.

This cabin is great: comfortable, clean, and well stocked. The location is private and peaceful with a beautiful view of the blueberry bushes and mountains in the distance. Julia was very quick to respond and was very helpful. We highly recommend and look forward to returning in the future (hopefully during blueberry season).

This is a great spot up in the mountains to get away from everything. It was a bit of a drive to get back to civilization, but I loved the views and the peace and quiet. I especially loved that the place is pet friendly. My husband and I are already talking about going again in the near future

We have stayed at many places in Lynchburg. We particularly enjoyed our stay here because it always felt safe and above all, even though it is small and very quaint- it was perfect for my husband and I and our aging dog. The host had many nice touches that made us feel at home. We will stay again in the future.

This is the 5th time I've stayed at this cabin, and I sincerely LOVE this place!!! My sister and I got to enjoy an inverse snow-globe experience on our stay...although I wouldn't advise anyone without really good 4WD to attempt it in the winter, it was an absolutely dream stay for my birthday!!!! Hosts were on point with everything as usual, and I can't thank them more for maintaining such a wonderful little oasis!!!

Perfect place to stop overnight on our trip to North Carolina - 4.5 year old kiddo and 4 dogs loved the space! Fenced area was huge! Very let friendly! The house was clean and overall our stay was short, but wonderful! We already cant wait to make a trip back for a few days next time.

Last weekend, I was able to visit Cruising Altitude. It was my first experience ever with renting an Air BnB! Abigail was truly a wonderful host! She was always available to answer any questions that I had leading up to my arrival and while I was at the cabin. I absolutely cannot wait to come back to Cruising Altitude again! It was truly a little glimpse of paradise! Lastly, the story behind the name of the cabin is truly special! I would recommend Cruising Altitude to anyone! P.S. Cruising Altitude is also Dog Friendly which is a HUGE plus!!!

Amazing and YES, cozy but not small country cottage! Beautiful Natural and well kept outdoors. Many sitting and dinning areas. inside provided tremendous light, many windows, Amazing space and separation of sleeping areas and very private bath. Kitchen perfectly laid out with much space for multiple cooks. Clean, private, quite and indoor bug free environment. Two perfect fire pits; one secluded for privacy and another perfect for gatherings. Perfect ambience. We felt we were home away from home. We had last minute request and Michelle was flexible, accommodating and went beyond host duties to fulfill our unusual needs. We will definitely return for another country cozy get away. Check in/out instructions were clear and minimal. Thank you for an amazing getaway! Look for us to return. We will definitely tell our friends!

This cozy cabin was exactly what we were looking for. It is rustic, quiet, clean in a peaceful country setting. It was just as pictured with our host Crystal having an easy check in/out process while maintaining our privacy. We really enjoyed this stay.

The Lodge was a great getaway on a beautiful lake. Super cozy bedroom and a fantastic fireplace for warm nights snuggled up on the couch. We enjoyed shooting pool and throwing some darts. The deck lights create a wonderful ambiance outside, along with the sounds of the trees and lake waters. Truly beautiful! A fully stocked kitchen made for ease of use! We would certainly return! Without a doubt one of the best AirBnb’s we’ve stayed at. We spent Thanksgiving at Kyle’s place and it was incredible. The kitchen had everything I needed. Thus home has been beautifully remodeled and has so many special touches. Communication was also answered within minutes. We look Forward to coming back again for weeks stay. Thank you!
