This was a perfect place for some quality family time. The house is awesome! Very well-appointed, clean, and well-thought-out for families. The surroundings are beautiful and convenient with a gym, pools, pickle ball, and tennis accessible within a short walk. There are walking trails everywhere in the large resort and the kayaks provided by the house are a nice activity. The communication was great with the hosts which made the visit stress-free.

The unit was extremely quiet, clean and comfortable. Lots of room for 6 adults. The unit has everything you need for cooking meals. The views are amazing. We stayed for our daughter’s graduation from Liberty University. I would love to come back when we have more time to enjoy the amenities. Kellen was extremely proactive and responsive.

What a blast! This is the second time I've facilitated a group trip to Kristie's place for a weekend of pickleball, food, and laughter. I'm already planning the next one! The house and other buildings are well-equipped and well-kept and provided everything we needed to fully enjoy our time together, including a gorgeous view of the lake from the dining table we gathered around. Absolutely recommend.

We enjoyed our stay and would definitely book again at this location in the future! The location is perfect, with convenient lake access and access to other nearby activities. The house is pristine & gives both vacation and homey vibes. Marsiela was responsive and easy to work with. I can't recommend highly enough and would definitely stay again in the future!

We needed two things for this stay… 1. To be close to the house we are building, and 2. A solid internet connection. We were a 4 minute drive from our new house and the internet was rock solid for the whole month.

Great location on the lake with a beautiful view. Had more than we could ask for in amenities! Definitely fell in love with the Hot tub.

What a little gem. We enjoyed our time here. The home was just what we needed for our family. A great layout with plenty of room. The view of the lake is amazing.

Josh was a great host who communicated quickly after the property was booked and leading up to our stay. He also checked in with us while we were there to make sure all was good. The house was beautiful with a great open concept family room/kitchen that provided a perfect space to hang out with family and friends. The house was conveniently well stocked with all basic needs and was right across the street from a community center with a gym and sizable indoor pool. Overall a great stay and would happily return for a future getaway!

I booked Travis' place for a work weekend with colleagues, and it was easy for everyone to find from the airport, with easy check-in. We were basically able walk right in and proceed with our weekend. Everyone had their own space in the house, with wonderful main rooms to gather in. We also had many meetings outside and even down on the dock as the weather was so beautiful, and to be right on the lake gave us the setting that we were imagining when we initially booked the space. On walk-in, the space was immaculately clean, everything laid out well and the kitchen was superbly stocked. The photos of the whole house are accurate. *We shopped before arrival on our way from the airport as the grocery store is a little ways away, but Travis provided us with excellent options, and always was quick to respond to any questions. Beds all had excellent mattresses and provided each of us with great sleeps. Check out was simple, instructions clear. A fabulous weekend and will book again.

My family gathered here with two dogs and there was plenty of space for all of us! Check-in was a breeze. The hosts communicated proactively and offered early check-in. The place was perfectly clean. We had 6 adults, a teen, a preteen, a toddler, and a walking infant so the doors at the top of both sets of inside stairs and the highchair were appreciated. My nephew loved the gameroom in the basement. We appreciated the Roku TVs. We had no issues with internet access during our stay. The paved walkway to the lake is steep so I recommend bringing down what you need so you don't have to make multiple trips. If you're in shape you'll be fine. We stayed in winter so we didn't spend much time by the water. We struggled with the thermostat. Despite simple instructions in the welcome guide it was not very responsive to our efforts to set it and adjusted itself. Would benefit from a more user/guest friendly model. Ample parking, quiet & nature. Great view. Overall we loved our stay, thank you!

what a lucky find! was very flexible when I needed to shift dates. and thorough in providing instructions before hand and on site. mexican spot down the road was lovely, and we appreciated the additional info on what was still open off season. only regret was that we didn't really use outdoor space due to cold weather. but we will return and remedy that next time!

Excellent hosts! The design of this house is amazing for family or friends getaway and it is beautiful and very clean. We enjoyed a friends weekend when it was cold, but the view of the lake and numerous seating arrangements were perfect. The kitchen is well stocked with all cooking necessities and a large variety of spices. We would love to be here in the summer and take advantage of the dock and kayaks and venture out to the local area.

Peaceful is the best way to describe this retreat. We had 3 generations of family along with our active dogs and everyone had a great New Year’s holiday. The home was well cared for and the setting was serene. Close enough to obtain all the necessary provisions but far enough away that for most of they stay everyone just hung out together. I would definitely recommend and hope to stay again.

We had a lovely Thanksgiving at SML. The house looks brand new and is beautifully decorated. Susanne was a gracious host- communicating beforehand to make sure we had everything we needed to cook for Thanksgiving and even ordered extra items to assure the kitchen was stocked when we arrived. The house is huge and accommodated two families easily- 5 teens each had their own rooms! The weather was very cold but we still enjoyed the dock and patio. I would definitely stay here again in the future!

Kelsey’s listing was perfect for our family’s Thanksgiving gathering. The house had everything we needed with plenty of room for us to kick back, relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. She was very accommodating and even though I had to bother her with some minor issues/questions during the holiday, she responded right away. This home was very nice, and the private little beach was perfect for our little kids. Home was clean and we had a great time. Only thing I would want other guest to know is that if you plan on cooking your meals like we did, you want to bring a cutting board and peeling knife with you and maybe some mixing bowls and spices. We managed but I would have brought all that had I known. I would still highly recommend this home.

We had the absolute BEST time at this Ben’s place. This was an annual family vacation, first time at SML, with 10 extended family members ranging from 2 to 80 years old. The home was truly better than described. We rented a boat for two days, based on Ben’s recommendation, and it was SO fun. The floating dock was easy to use and such a hit with the kids for fishing, swimming, canoeing, etc. The beds and furniture were comfortable and well appointed. The views of the lake are incredible and everyone had plenty of space to spread out. We had a bonfire (using provided wood) and had a chance to check out the international space station one night as it flew by. The house well stocked and even had life vests for the littles. Great memories made in a great house. We were all pleased and would stay again. One thing to note-the driveway is very steep and should be taken into consideration for those with limited or difficult mobility. 10/10!

This was my first stay with an Airbnb. I'm so happy it was with Jim. His property is absolutely beautiful, quiet, and serene. We felt right at home and very comfortable. I would suggest this home for anyone taking a short trip to Smith Mt. Lake. We hope to revisit soon.

This home and host exceeded all expectations! It is such a “useable” spacious home—we cooked most every night and found the kitchen so well-stocked (with generous snacks and coffee & supplies as well). The large dining table handled our meals AND our board games (house has several). The many windows in living spaces & bedrooms revealed gorgeous views of the pretty lake—sunrises and sunsets were inspirational—and we could easily take walks around the neighborhood for more lake views. Beds and linens & towels were cozy and home was super-duper clean. So many beds! And THREE bathrooms was an amazing bonus to our group of 5 adults. So easy to gather in the living room with two couches complete with chaise features AND two footstools—so relaxing! The island in kitchen was great for spreading out our meals buffet-style. The house stayed cozy & warm during the chilly November weather. Large Closets and dressers abound. Kurt has labeled everything & has supplied about anything you might need!

Great location and beautiful views of the lake. During the day we took advantage of the boat house/dock and in the evenings we relaxed outside by the fire pit. The house was very roomy with several places to entertain and relax. The property was close to several bars/restaurants and a grocery store. would highly recommend this property for a family vacation

Kelli's place was absolutely perfect for our party of four + dog! We were visiting for a wedding with many events throughout the week, frequently coming & going. Location was very convenient to downtown & just off the main road for us. We particularly appreciated that while the place felt homey, it wasn't overly full of decorations covering every surface, making you feel like your belongings are going to get easily lost. It was well equipped to cook at the place & we wanted for nothing! Kelli was extremely kind & accommodating to our schedule. We would definitely stay here again!

The house and accommodations were everything that were advertised. Lon was easy to communicate with and very responsive to questions. The lake was beautiful and the other boaters were friendly. The close restaurants were a lot of fun and added to the vacationing atmosphere! We will definitely return!
