Lenora is a fantastic host. I booked last minute and she responded quickly and was very accommodating and friendly. The condo was everything I needed - clean, bed was very comfortable, nice kitchen and bathroom. Great price for the stay! I plan on staying here again soon!

This was a quiet, cute and comfy place to stay and the bed was AMAZINGLY COMFORTABLE!!!!

Went for a relaxing weekend with no plans to do much of anything. And did just that! Beautiful peaceful area! Lots of great restaurants in the area. Wake cafe was delish! The home was perfect for the 2 of us.

My sister and neice and I stayed at Key To Stay's condo for 2 nights in February. I had previously stayed at that same condo in November. I originally gave this condo a great review, which is why we rented it again. This visit had a few maintenance issues, but they were eventually resolved and Key To Stay made sure to reach out to me personally to make sure we were satisfied. I do appreciate their commitment to making sure they improve the guest experience. I will definitely be staying here again after the wonderful customer service. The location is beautiful, the lake view can't be beat. The area has some great places to eat also.

The place was well kept and clean. Almost brand new! Just be aware that you will have to drive to most of the amenities. Also you will have to pay a $20 per person fee for the use of the amenities and that wasn’t mentioned prior to renting. We went to Bottles and Bites on a Saturday night and it was great!

My family gathered here with two dogs and there was plenty of space for all of us! Check-in was a breeze. The hosts communicated proactively and offered early check-in. The place was perfectly clean. We had 6 adults, a teen, a preteen, a toddler, and a walking infant so the doors at the top of both sets of inside stairs and the highchair were appreciated. My nephew loved the gameroom in the basement. We appreciated the Roku TVs. We had no issues with internet access during our stay. The paved walkway to the lake is steep so I recommend bringing down what you need so you don't have to make multiple trips. If you're in shape you'll be fine. We stayed in winter so we didn't spend much time by the water. We struggled with the thermostat. Despite simple instructions in the welcome guide it was not very responsive to our efforts to set it and adjusted itself. Would benefit from a more user/guest friendly model. Ample parking, quiet & nature. Great view. Overall we loved our stay, thank you!

Betsy’s house on Smith Mountain Lake is wonderful. From the driveway it looks like a jiggly small cottage. You go inside and wow! What a surprise! 6 bedrooms on two floors, a screened in porch, a deck and wonderful dock and boathouse. We enjoyed ourselves so much here.

Jessi’s Air bnb exceeded my expectations! The house its self was beautiful, and the inside was very well kept up! The back deck made the perfect lounging area, as well as the boat dock! We enjoyed lots of sunshine at the dock! Jessi’s communication was amazing, checking in on us, keeping up to date and her response time made questions answerable within minutes! The location of the house is 15 minutes from restaurants which made it very accessible! The house is perched back into a cove, which made it very peaceful and relaxing! I would highly recommend Jessi’s air bnb!

Dannie and Nancy are amazing people! They made our short stay so amazing and felt more like being at an amazing family lake house than a rental. The lake house is a little piece of heaven. I'm a disabled Veteran that struggles with ptsd and anxiety and being here was so good for my mind heart and soul. Me and my wife loved it and loved meeting Dannie and Nancy in person! we are already planning trips back and can't wait. we thank Dannie and Nancy so much and highly recommend staying at their place!

Overall, we had a wonderful stay and especially enjoyed the nature element--trees, animals, the lake were all very peaceful & serene. Our dog also loved the forest setting. The living room was very cozy and we had some great hangouts inside & outside on the porches, by the fire circle & on the dock. There are some minor repairs needed at the house, but that didn't dampen our having a great time. There was also a lot of natural debris and trash along the beach in the cove due to recent storms. It would have been great if this had been cleaned up before we arrived. We'd definitely recommend this beautiful little spot to anyone looking for a down-to-earth nature getaway!

Excellent hosts! The design of this house is amazing for family or friends getaway and it is beautiful and very clean. We enjoyed a friends weekend when it was cold, but the view of the lake and numerous seating arrangements were perfect. The kitchen is well stocked with all cooking necessities and a large variety of spices. We would love to be here in the summer and take advantage of the dock and kayaks and venture out to the local area.

Peaceful is the best way to describe this retreat. We had 3 generations of family along with our active dogs and everyone had a great New Year’s holiday. The home was well cared for and the setting was serene. Close enough to obtain all the necessary provisions but far enough away that for most of they stay everyone just hung out together. I would definitely recommend and hope to stay again.

We had a lovely Thanksgiving at SML. The house looks brand new and is beautifully decorated. Susanne was a gracious host- communicating beforehand to make sure we had everything we needed to cook for Thanksgiving and even ordered extra items to assure the kitchen was stocked when we arrived. The house is huge and accommodated two families easily- 5 teens each had their own rooms! The weather was very cold but we still enjoyed the dock and patio. I would definitely stay here again in the future!

We loved staying here! The unit is small but decorated very nice and has all amenities you would need for a weekend away. Check in was easy with clear instructions provided the day before. We had no trouble operating the lock box or using the pin pad to enter the building. The unit was also very clean! The bed is so comfortable that we slept great both nights. We appreciated that Leslie left water and snacks available since we had forgotten to pack any in our rush to leave on the day of our trip. The beach and pergola near the water were nice to sit at in the evening. Although the on site restaurant was a bit pricy, the food was totally worth it. It was the best steak we had in a while! This unit met all of our expectations and we would definitely like to stay here again if we take another trip to SML.

Perfect for dog lovers and lake lovers! I’ve rented various condos at Smith Mountain Lake and several different ones at Stripers Landing, but Shannon’s place is now my new favorite. With a great view, plenty of space and the option to bring the pup - it’s such a treat. Highly recommend.

Beautiful stay in a beautiful space. Host was quick to respond to any questions I had during stay. Kitchen had everything you would need to prepare meals even a blender. It's the little things like washing pods, coffee pods, shampoo, conditioner, dish soap and such, that make your trip that much smoother. Definitely enjoyed our stay.

The beautiful view coupled with a quiet neighborhood were welcomed. However, what I appreciate the most is the thoughtfulness that invited you into every room, such as the complementary toiletries in case you forgot something, the full dishware in the kitchen, or the mints on the dresser. It was the perceft place for our weekend. I will definitely stay again!

We have stayed at Kathleen’s condo numerous times, and it is always perfect! The kitchen and bathroom are well-stocked, the bedding is comfortable, and the whole condo feels like home away from home. Kathleen is an attentive and friendly host. We look forward to going back!

Great stay. Cute condo right above restaurant and store. Brought my SUP and used it a lot. Lots to do at Mariner’s landing. Great food and service at The Landing, Bruno’s and Bottles and Bites. State Park 7 minutes away is excellent for hiking. Lots of friendly neighbors! We’re ready to go back!!

The place is as pictured, comfy and clean. The host was very responsive and accommodating. I would recommend and stay again.

We had a great time. Beautiful location, great views and very comfortable and clean condo. Quiet. Easy parking and walkable surroundings. Jamie was friendly and very helpful. We would definitely recommend it!
