We felt like we walked into a clean and lovely home. Very well stocked and beautifully located with the view of a glacier from the sunroom! We saw the aurora borealis right off the back step, and enjoyed our stay. Lots of room in the house but (we didn’t know ahead of time) the bathroom is on the main floor with the 1st floor bedroom. Bedrooms upstairs (set up for an adult room and kids room with 3 beds) is up a very steep staircase. This didn’t bother us, but our adult son, who stayed upstairs, mentioned it would be difficult taking kids to the bathroom during the night. Just a little something to add to the listing. Kind and communicative host, and we would definitely recommend it!

Wow! What an incredibly special home. The care in its construction is clear, the way it fits into and celebrates the surroundings is incredibly special. The home by itself is worth the visit, and so are the gorgeous surroundings. It’s also fantastically located to explore the Peninsula, with essentially every point within a 35 minute drive at the most. Many, far nearer, and some within walking distance. I also can’t say enough about the hosts. They created an extremely comfortable experience, providing numerous suggestions on things to do and places to go, and gave the home just enough personal touches to make it feel welcoming. Cannot wait to come back!

This house was absolutely perfect for our first night in Iceland! Daniel was flexible with us checking in a little early and checking out a bit late, which helped us recover from a bit of jet lag from traveling through the night. The views from the house were spectacular and in walking distance from the most beautiful oceanside cliffs. We were lucky enough to see the Northern Lights, and what a sight they were. There is a quaint restaurant down the road where we had a warm cup of coffee and they welcomed my daughter to play their piano. The best way I can describe this house and the town of Arnarstapi, is magical!

Just a fantastic place! Quiet, clean and very cozy. Walking distance to anything you need in town as well as the restaurants. Wonderful views as well.

Thanks for a lovely stay. The children really enjoyed all the art materials and games and it is a really spacious house so very easy as a family or 5. The playground right outside is fun too - even though the pillow wasn’t inflated because it was either windy or icy! Great hot tub and well equipped place. A really interesting town and nice locals to chat to in the shop across the grass!

LOVE this house! We luckily encountered aurora burst and the house gave us the best view to every direction, sooo nice and lovely especially in a cold windy night that you don't feel like stepping out. We didn't meet the landlord in person but the?communication was very efficiecnt. would recommend this house with stunning view to everyone who comes to the pennisular of Snaefjall!

The apartment is in an excellent location with such a lovely view from the balcony. We saw whales from the apartment and were treated to a display of the northern lights.

Perfect for what we were looking for! We also saw a beautiful northern lights show this night just a few minute drive from our stay. All lovely!

So spacious and clean, modern. Our group of 6 were extremely comfortable during our stay. It has a ground floor with 1 bedroom and upstairs has 3 bedrooms. I would stay here again. Beds and pillows comfortable.

Very nice flat! The flat is in the city. Five minute drive to the Kirkjufell Mountain. It's great for taking photos of nearby attractions. The view from the window is also very nice 👍 Below the flat is a dining bar. Ideal for people who need to eat and drink in the evening as well. The flat is very big. Great for friends when travelling together. There is a big cupboard at the entrance door to put down all your luggage. There is a long sofa at the entrance. The living room also has a big L-shaped sofa to sit and play together. The sofa is soft. The master has prepared some board games and chess. There is a very large dining table. There is also a separate kitchen. It was well stocked with kitchenware and crockery. There were also fresh coffee beans and lots of spices. There are two bedrooms and three separate beds. The beds were clean and soft. The whole house was warm. The decor is very nice. There is also a big balcony. You can have a view from the it. Overall, good choice.👍

Marta was a wonderful hostess. Very friendly. Invited us for coffee both mornings at her cafe. She showed us on a map of the Snaefellsnes Peninsula where to go, what to do, what to see, etc. She looked up restaurants and told us the hours they were open. She messaged our first night that there was an awesome Aurora out about 9:30 PM. Unfortunately we had just gone to bed and didn't get it until the next morning. (We were at the end of a long day following a night flight that arrived at 6 AM with little sleep on the plane.) She also told us there was a free Latin dance class that night at the community center within walking distance. We went and had a great time! The shower faucet was tricky at first until I figured out how it worked. (Right side controlled water temperature. Left side turned it on.) I'm used to right being cold and left being hot. All we did both nights was sleep. The beds were comfortable, and we slept well! Thank you, Marta, for your hospitality!
