I hate when a hidden gem so good comes around that I have to write a review to blow up the spot but that's what this is. Perfect proximity to the mountains, yet tucked away enough where you feel nobody can find you. This place was awesome. Shhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

Our family trip was beyond SPECIAL ~ Linda's retreat in the Ruedi Reservoir was the most Perfect home for us!! Linda's attention to every detail had the home beautifully ready. The furnishings are so comfortable and inviting. The kitchen was equipped for our every need. Bedrooms had cozy linens perfect for our early February stay! We were so pleased with our hosts being quickly responsive to our questions and needs. Hot tub was super relaxing and used frequently!! The views from the cabin and porches were AMAZING!! I promise we all look forward to our next trip ~ Basalt is the perfect small town with a wonderful selection of restaurants and activities.....and still close to Aspen for the bigger beautiful city experience!! Thank you Linda & staff!!!

This airbnb truly felt like a home. From the fully stocked kitchen (with beautiful unique pottery) to the cozy couch with a blanket and all the wonderful little touches in between (artwork, crystals, etc.) this place felt more like a home. It was clean, spacious, well-lit, and relaxing. We loved the location and found it easy to walk to town, the grocery store, and many other amenities. We highly recommend this place!

Our stay at this mountain retreat was unforgettable! The views of the mountains were stunning, especially with the gorgeous sunrises each morning. The house itself was cozy yet spacious, and the chef’s kitchen was a dream – it had everything we needed to cook amazing meals. Preparing breakfast while looking out at the mountains was a highlight! The property’s friendly barn cats added such a warm, personal touch, and the neighbor horses were a delight to see each day, grazing just beyond the fence. It felt like our own little sanctuary, perfect for a relaxing getaway. The hosts thought of every detail to make us comfortable and were so responsive to any questions. Highly recommend this beautiful retreat for anyone who loves cooking, nature, and incredible views. We’ll definitely be back!

The pictures on the listing caught my eye, but when I arrived, it was even better! The view was incredible and breathtaking. The place was very clean, the beds were super comfy, and the host was incredibly responsive to any questions I had. I wish I could have spent more time enjoying the place, but we were there to snowboard in Aspen and attend the X Games. I would definitely rent it again to focus on enjoying the property more next time.

We were most appreciative of our stay - it is a clean, well maintained unit that you can tell is privately owned which is always a plus. There is a good market within easy walking distance (and an easy bus ride return if laden down by bags) we cooked in more nights than we might have otherwise, because the standard condo kitchen is stocked with solid utensils + china and a good grill on the small deck, so that you can be ready to cook anything. The living room has a lovely view. The top floor is a gracious master suite complete with work space and the main floor has two compact bedrooms. The unit is located in an attractive, owner-occupied development. This makes for wonderful peace and quiet- no sense of loudness or intrusiveness from neighboring units. There is a compact, clean fitness center as well as a nice hot tub and pool a short walk away. The unit is RIGHT on the bus route and once we got the hang of the timing, we had short waits to and from the mountain.

Excellent location, and great host. Can’t wait to return.

We had an amazing stay at Katy’s house on the river! The location in Avon was perfect—just a short drive to Vail and right by Beaver Creek for incredible skiing. The home was clean, cozy, and had everything we needed to relax after long days on the slopes. Katy was accommodating, friendly, and offered great tips for the area. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient mountain getaway!

Christian's cabin is by far my favorite Airbnb rental so far. This cabin is pristine, charming, clean and on a beautiful piece of property. I would describe the house as "rugged Colorado grandeur with refined Alpine charm." The decor is great and makes you feel like you're a part of the mountains. The setting is pretty remote, but that's what I wanted - away from the Aspen scene and entrenched in nature. Christian's a great communicator and extremely kind. The fireplaces in the house make you feel so cozy -- the house has everything you could possibly need and more! It's important to have snow tires or 4-wheel drive - do not ignore that requirement :) I can't wait to go back to Basalt and stay at Christian's again. I highly recommend it.

My family stayed at the cabin for Christmas and loved our time there. Getting there was easy because of the clear directions provided. We maxed out the capacity between adults, a 1 year old and 2 dogs but the lofted master and open 3rd floor loft weren’t an issue since we were all awake at the same time. The main floor was perfect - we cooked all our meals there, ate together at the dining table and all hung out comfortably in the living room, they even had a tree & garland up for the holidays which was nice. A few things to note if planning to cook, the dishwasher is in rough shape and doesn’t clean all the way so we had to hand wash dishes when we arrived as well as throughout the stay. The freezer doesn’t quite stay cold so we had ice cream & ice cubes that melted. Overall it was a beautiful area and communication with Barb & David was great, they were so responsive before, during & after. We’re so happy we chose to stay here & made such fun memories as a family.

Margaret’s place is the perfect Christmas wonderland escape. Beautiful place that made us feel right at home. A white Christmas we will look forward to every year! Highly recommended. Scenery is absolutely breathtaking!

Kim's place was absolutely beautiful. We stayed for 3 nights in Glenwood Springs and I would highly recommend her place. The amenities including the hot tub were so nice. Super private and very clean, a perfect home for a group traveling to Glenwood Springs.

I feel extremely grateful to have met the amazing hosts to this cabin. Their family was instrumental in getting this important environment and the public lands around it conserved. Staying here will be a special experience for anyone who cares about wild, scenic environments and their future. I can't say enough about the kindness and understanding of the hosts, and how incredibly fantastic the cabin is. The showers are hot so don't worry about the outdoor shower, and the fireplace and ambiance of the setting made for a peaceful stay. The hosts even invited me to their Winter Solstice party on the property, which was the icing on the cake. If you're looking for a secluded, idyllic setting with the ultimate in privacy and natural surrounding, I can only recommend.
