Thanks to Kristen for allowing me and my family to stay for a few days while we visited Round Top. Nice home on the beach with room to hang out outside. Fun waking up and watching all of the deer eat and walk around the property.

John was an excellent host. He was responsive and accommodating. He checked in with us multiple times, asked if we needed anything, and made it happen when we did. The cabins are closer together than I first imagined but it was a beautiful property and would be great for a family event! The cabin itself was very clean and cozy. I would book again for any event!

My wife, infant, and I loved the place (well my infant probably was indifferent). It was easy to check-in. It was peaceful and relaxing. I would definitely come back.

The place was nice. It had clean linens, which is #1. The pool and hot tub were the best. I thought the mess hall had a way to make reservations for meals and a game area (my misunderstanding). Overall, we were very pleased and would definitely book again.

Nice place, really quiet. Not that far of a drive to Brenham for eating and nice little town. We came up to fish Somerville but the sand bass weren’t running in the creeks yet. Still enjoyed our stay at the house.

My family was there for my oldest son's wedding. We drove up to the house to our surprise, there were 4 deer just grazing in the yard. The whole weekend was filled with deer wandering around. It was beautiful and relaxing. Joy was spectacular at responding to all of my messages. Can't wait to go for another visit.

The cabin was an excellent spot! It was immaculately kept and there were lots of thoughtful touches that made the stay completely comfortable. The host was extra responsive to all questions. I highly recommend!

Would stay here again. Very easy to get to and from while shopping in round top. The host was very quick to help when we locked ourselves out the house!

The Rustic Retreat was just the get away we wanted. It sits overlooking the pond and is surrounded by live oak trees. We were greeted by the dog Denver and our poodle was wore out by all the playing. It was so tranquil and relaxing. We visited surrounding towns and enjoyed the sight seeing. I highly recommend this retreat for anyone wanting to get away from the rat race of life. We can’t wait to go back again.

We stayed in the cabin for chili fest weekend and loved being able to get into nature but still have a beautiful place to sleep at night!

This cabin is amazing!! The pictures do not do this place justice. The inside is so cute with the barn look and the way it is decorated. We loved the big porch and sitting on the porch swing watching all the wildlife. It was so peaceful, my dream cabin if I had one. Denise and Richard where super friendly and a great host. Will definitely be seeing if this place is available the next time we are in town.

Great host! Was looking forward to the peacefulness of this area and cabin! Secluded but close to town for any needs. Easy going and made sure we were comfortable and happy.

Our sales team (6 of us total) stayed here during a recent work trip, and it couldn’t have been better. The house was clean, spacious, and super comfortable—plenty of room for everyone to have their own space while still enjoying time together in the shared areas. The setup was ideal for a group traveling for business, with great Wi-Fi, a well-equipped kitchen, and comfortable workspaces. The host was incredibly responsive and thoughtful, making check-in and communication a breeze. The location was convenient and quiet, with easy access to restaurants, coffee shops, and everything we needed during our stay. Highly recommend this spot for any team traveling together. We really enjoyed our special time with friends on the Ronin farm. The house was just as described and decorated very lovely with lots of charming touches. We loved all the live house plants making it feel super cozy and like a true home. Very clean home with pretty bedding and comfy beds. We had such a fun time sitting on the front porch swing with our morning coffee, perfect for catch up with old friends! Great place for a quick get away or an extra long weekend.
