Wonderful property. Located about 10 minutes outside of town, which was nice. It felt safe and secluded. The patio area and hot tub felt very peaceful and private. Highly recommended!

We had an amazing 4 days at Maik's place. We are a family of four - our boys are 5 and 10. The day we arrived we could not believe the views. Listening to the howler monkeys and seeing the toucans arrive was amazing. The location is great - you can go north to see some great waterfalls on the way to Lake Arenal, or east to Monteverde region. Maikol met us early to show us the dairy farm his family runs, and booked a night walk for us. It was a glorious stay and we would for sure stay again. One thing that would improve the place is just a few more kitchen things - sharp knives especially! We ate lunch out every day (casados three days in a row lol) but cooked dinner at the house. Otherwise everything was so perfect. Would stay again in a heartbeat! Enjoy!

Tobi was an excellent host. Very responsive and helpful. Check in was a bit stressful on our end as we didn’t have phone service and were late arriving and felt terrible Tobi had to wait for us. The space is a rustic cabin feel, with basic amenities. The wildlife around the home was amazing. Our kids loved the outdoor trampoline and nature hikes from the property. Beautiful views. Car highly recommended as the uphill walk is treacherous from the main road. We were comfortable and location was great and a close drive downtown. Would highly recommend! We loved our time here!

Adorable spot in an excellent location to explore Bajos del Toro. Walkable to a few stores and restaurants and even walkable to the Catarata Vuelta del Canon hike, which was incredibly impressive. Hosts were responsive, we enjoyed the outdoor space with BBQ, fire pit, and jacuzzi! Water didn't get super hot, but overall we had an amazing stay. This place is a great value!

We loved our stay here! Jose Julio was an amazing host. Anything we needed he was available with suggestions. The house is beautiful and the pool was amazing and very private. Jose Julio took on a horse ride around the property and let us interact with his goats, including two babies. After the horseback riding we met his wife and drank fresh juice. We spent a long time talking and getting to know each other, which we loved. I would definitely recommend this home to anyone wanting to stay in La Fortuna.

Carlos is an amazing host! He was so friendly, so personable, and so helpful during our stay. My two teenagers loved having their own bedrooms and bathrooms on the second floor. And because those two upstairs room are only accessible by way of the upstairs balcony, my wife and I felt that we had a lot of privacy. The house is very close to downtown La Fortuna and all of the area’s wonderful activities!

Excelente lugar, me encantó y volvería al lugar, muchas cosas por hacer en la zona. Más bonito que en las fotos , un poquito complicado llegar si viajas en la noche pero está maravilloso el lugar

Raquel’s place was amazing! Raquel was very responsive, kind and helpful. The home was great, very clean and cozy. The location is great as well! It’s a 10 minute walk to the grocery store, and a three minute walk to a great restaurant. I highly recommend staying here!

Simplemente espectacular, tanto el lugar como Nuria la anfitriona se ganaron unos visitantes más por muchísimo tiempo. Desde que llegamos la experiencia fue como estar en casa, el trato y la amabilidad de la anfitriona lo dejan a uno con una sensación maravillosa. Las instalaciones son exactamente como se ven en las fotos, un lugar de ensueño. Sin duda volveremos!!!

La atención estuvo genial, Rafael siempre estuvo muy atento a cualquier duda que tuviéramos Ademas el lugar es hermoso, hay muchas cosas para hacer😊 Y la limpieza genial

Juan's place was CLEAN, nice pots, pans, flatware, great fridge, BEAUTIFUL wood ceilings, comfortable couch, beautiful and clean bathroom. The wifi worked very well. Me and my guest were very impressed with the room. It is so clean that you can actually let your children sit and play on the floors. Juan was very accommodating. He kindly helped me by allowing me to do a late check-in. He was very responsive to my needs and questions. He suggested a great location to go eat and the food was good! This room is right near town. Definitely walkable to restaurants, stores, and places of interest in both directions! The cost of this room was well worth it! My only issue: No side tables in the bedrooms. There was nowhere to set my glasses or cell phone before bed time except on the shelf in front of the bed. No lamps in the bedrooms; you have to keep the bright ceiling lights on when it's late and you want to wind down. Lights had greenish hue. But this room was still awesome!

Me sentí bastante cómodo, una zona muy bonita, disfrute bastante mi estancia y de viajar por la zona, sin dudas me volvería a hospedar en el mismo lugar!

La locación es increíble, si lo que busca es tranquilidad y paz este es el espacio. Muy cerca de Santa Clara y hasta el portón todo asfaltado. Y Marisol nos atendió a las mil Maravillas. Para volver definitivamente.

Preciosa Cabaña en Monteverde. despiertas en medio de la naturaleza alejado de la ciudad.

I could not say enough good things about Silvio's beautiful, beautiful home. Nestled away far from the bustle of Monteverde and the never-ending tourist attractions Costa Rica offers, Silvio's home is a quiet, peaceful respite. The long, bumpy driveway is a scenic experience in itself, and we spotted almost as much wildlife from our driveway or in the trees around the home as we did on some nature hikes! Photos of both the home and the incredible view honestly don't do this place justice. As other reviewers have mentioned, a 4x4 is definitely necessary to access this place, but well worth it. Amenities were perfect- hot water, reliable WiFi, extra blankets, and the banana bread at check in was also a lovely touch. We regrettably didn't have time to hike the trails surrounding the property, but we did get multiple check ins from the incredibly friendly horses. I could not recommend this property more. Thank you for a lovely stay!!

Un logement parfait pour 2 couples. Vu spectaculaire sur les montagnes et la vallée. Un peu éloigné, mais vraiment parfait pour la tranquillité. Nous avons adoré notre séjour. 10/10 🤩

Loved this cabin! Was the perfect place to stay during our visit of La Fortuna. Esteban was an amazing host greeting us when we arrived and sharing local restaurant recommendations. The cabin is an easy drive to the city to walk around or get to your excursions. It was clean, comfortable and safe. The river was great to walk to for a dip. Would stay again!

A peaceful and private location surrounded by nature, just a short drive from the city center and nearby hot springs. We especially enjoyed having our coffee and fruit on the porch. The decoration is truly unique, and staying with family made it even more special, as each of us found a space that resonated with us. The apartment is well-equipped, full of charm, and has a warm, home-like feel.

Very beautiful location and cottage. The hosts also served us the most delicious breakfast!

There were so many great things about our stay! Having two bedrooms each with their own bathrooms was great. The kitchen was very well furnished with everything we needed for cooking. We appreciated the local coffee, snacks and cold beverages left in the in refrigerator.....such a nice welcome! We especially enjoyed sitting outside every evening for the view and watching the sun set. The location was great and we walked into town several times. Lastly and very importantly, the host was most helpful in giving in giving us suggestions and was extremely easy to reach. Some of our favorite activities were the El Tigre hike, breakfast at Stella's Cafe (and watching the monkeys!) and dinner at the Jungle restaurant.
