Absolutely perfect for our group. It was so great to be back on the river after the floods. Nice beach entry into the water. Great games room for evening entertainment. A load of board games too. We will definitely be back.

Eva's place was nice and modern. The selection of amenities was nice and the location is very convenient to walk around the town of Kingscote.

Jodie & Mark have thought of everything when curating this beautiful stay, no detail has been overlooked. The location itself is stunning, but the extra mile the hosts have done too have turned this into a wonderful & private experience in itself. We left planning our next visit, & couldn't recommend Jodie & Mark higher.

Great accommodation which is perfectly located on the river and entry to Lake Carlet. Thank you Sean, my family really enjoyed our few days at your shack. The house is comfortable and well stocked with the essentials and the location is perfect for relaxing and enjoying the river. Neighbours were friendly you can feel the community spirit. We will be back.

On the first evening of our stay we had to contact Kate. She immediately took our call and was very responsive to our issue. We really enjoyed our visit to ‘Captain John’s’. It was perfect for two couples each with a babe under 10 mth plus another adult. The amenities were great. The front balcony & lounge room views were amazing, especially @ sunrise/sunset. We loved the massage chair and the 2 e-bikes that made a short ride into town even easier. There were some lovely treats left in the kitchen for us to enjoy Thank You! We found everything was true to the listed photos. It’s close to Victor Harbour, Port Elliott bakery /horseshoe bay and had easy river access across the road. Also an hour’s drive from Monarto safari Park which was a wonderful half day activity before returning to Adelaide. With a twin room to spare we were all very comfy and each of us had our own bathroom. I would definitely recommend. A lovely place to rest & relax as well as enjoy the local offerings.

My wife & I had another great stay at this peaceful river shack on the banks of the River Murray. Georgina & Jane prepared the house to be comfortable and welcoming. From the moment arrived, we could feel the stresses of the workaday world recede. The welcome kit, with assorted dips, choccies, and wine, does help! The house is well kitted out. You can arrive with just your personal basics and still have a lovely time. The River Murray, on your doorstep, is the big drawcard. You can relax on a deck chair and watch the river roll by as it changes mood from one time to the next – from misty early mornings to bird life during the day, and on to the moon’s reflection at night. You also can enjoy these views from the private jetty from the backyard. The river traffic of water-skiing and jet-skis picks up on weekends. If you are into active river sports, there’s a boat ramp at nearby Sunnyside Reserve. All in all, a lovely river shack in a beautiful location. Thanks to Georgina & Jane!

Beautiful, peaceful spot. Perfect for getting away from things. Comfortable beds and lovely bedding. Was able to get things nice and cool on some really hot days. Great outdoor area… our dog loved the lawn!

Excellent river location and everything you need for a weekend away with friends, we never left as the house had everything from games to well equipped kitchen...all the little extras when you want to holiday with friends.
