One of the nicest places we’ve visited on Airbnb. The host is very responsive and communicative. The house was spacious and immaculate with many amenities. The location and views were beautiful. Our large family had a wonderful stay in this special home and we hope to come back soon.

J'ai organisé une fête d'anniversaire pour mon ami(e) ici, profitant en exclusivité de toute la maison et de son jardin privé. La maison est spacieuse et baigne dans une ambiance artistique. La cuisine est équipée d’appareils modernes et chaque coin est impeccablement propre. Des capteurs de qualité de l'air sont installés et permettent de suivre en temps réel la pureté de l'air. Les lits sont très confortables, et j’ai remarqué qu’ils utilisent des draps en pur coton de bonne qualité. La maison dispose de deux machines à café haut de gamme. Après le dîner, nous avons allumé la cheminée à bois et partagé un café tout en nous remémorant de bons souvenirs. Le jardin est immense, et l’étang à l’arrière permet de patiner en hiver. Nous avons croisé un gros chat errant et des écureuils, mais aucun insecte. L’air était pur, et le silence était tel que l’on pouvait entendre les battements de notre cœur. Nous n’avons pas voulu quitter cet endroit et avons promis d’y revenir cet été.

Nice place for the family to get together. Had plenty of room for twin toddlers to play without worrying about a lot of things that they could break.

Our family group, 4 adults and 1 seven-year-old child, stayed for six nights in July at Serene Lakefront Haven in Val-des-Monts, Quebec. We were looking for a well-equipped home by a beautiful, quiet swimmable lake not too far from our own home in Ottawa. Nadine's place was perfect for us. The lake was surrounded by tall trees and not very deep, which was excellent for our young swimmer. Motor boats were not allowed on it, so peace reigned day and night, and a number of boats were available for us to use. Everybody, young and old (from 7 to 74) enjoyed the lake. Outside there was also a trampoline! The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed to prepare our meals. In addition, there were games and toys for all ages, and the television came with Netflix, Disney Plus, and a variety of DVDs. The house was clean when we arrived and the house manual provided accurate, useful information. Nadine answered all questions promptly and thoroughly. Five stars --- well-deserved!

You know when someone says "the pictures don't do it justice"? That perfectly describes this rental. An absolutely amazing house, with tons of space to hang out and spread out. Comfortable beds, plenty of linens, and thoughtful touches in the kitchen and bathrooms. I've stayed at almost 20 rentals in the Potsdam area and I think this may have rocketed to the top on my first visit. I can wait to see it in the summertime! VERY responsive hosts, including answering questions and plowing the MASSIVE driveway and shoveling the path to the entrance.

nous avons passé d'excellentes vacances d'hiver chez Alex. un beau petit chalet chaleureux nicher dans une belle montagne en forêt. avec toutes les petites commodités nécessaires avec un ado de 17 ans. une vue splendide face au lac. plusieurs cafés ont été pris assis dans le sofa à contempler un vue superbe. un hôte et hôtesse très réactifs et patients face à nos questions ou demandes. ( pas très habitué aux serrures intelligentes). nos hôtes se sont assurés que notre arrivée, notre séjour et notre départ soit à la hauteur et même au-delà de nos attentes. ils nous ont traité comme des rois. vous cherchez un endroit pour vous évader de la grande ville, fuir le bruit et les tracas du quotidien chez Alex vous ne serez pas déçu ! je le recommande haut la main. nous pensons très fort à y retourner cet été pour décompresser mais surtout voir la vue du lac l'été. un gros merci pour cette semaine de relâche Natacha, Jocelyn et Jonathan

Third stay at Butternut Bay, and it truly does feel like a home away from home. We have such special family memories because of Butternut Bay and its owner, first Jeanne, and now Meagan who is continuing her legacy--and it really does feel like that. Meagan cares that your time at Butternut is one you will remember. We thoroughly enjoyed her sharing of the St Lawrence Seaway map online, so we were able to track and learn more about the ships that were passing, day and night! Looking forward to our next stay, and more amazing family moments. Thank you Meagan!

my second stay and it was great once again.

Loved that there was a fully stocked kitchen with dishes and appliances. Plenty of breakfast food left in the fridge. Location perfect for buses, and a 10 minute walk to the river.

Beth was so pleasant and attentive. Her place was very cozy and such a beautiful area. We came to visit our son at school and had a wonderful time just hanging out and relaxing. We would love to stay again on our next trip out.

My absolute favorite place in Montreal. The place is spacious, cosy and simply stunning. Stayed here during the snowstorm and made us forget all about it. The hosts are very responsive and flexible. A home away from home :) Thank you Mary Eve and Frederick!

Great place to stay. Views are amazing. Sean was easy to speak with and went out of his way to assist with any needs. Will be recommending to others.

This was our second time staying at Sandra’s lovely place. It’s super clean, well stocked, has comfy beds and great amenities. Sandra is always friendly and super responsive- we had everything we needed and felt right at home. Of course, we also loved being greeted when we came in by Bowie- he’s such a sweetie! Sandra’s place is now our go-to when we visit our daughter who lives nearby- we look forward to our return!

Nous avons passé un merveilleux réveillon de Noël auprès du feu dans le joli cottage de Barbara. Les environs étaient sublimes. Le logement confortable. Barbara a été une hôte adorable, flexible sur les horaires ce qui nous a permis de profiter au maximum, réactive lorsque nous avions des questions. Nous nous sommes vraiment senti accueillis et choyés. Merci beaucoup!

Spent 4 nights at the cottage with a family of 5. Harsh was very responsive to all communication prior/during/post stay. The cottage was well located for those seeking peace and quiet. Hot tub worked well. The cottage was well supplied, we did not lack anything. A nice surprise bottle of wine was offered and appreciated. Internet connection was fast, electric and wood fireplaces add a nice ambiance and warmth to the cottage. Overall, great stay for a family of 5, would fit 6 maximum. Highly recommend for those travelling to the area for some R&R and/or small family getaway in nature.

Had a great weekend getaway. The cottage is true to the pictures with an added bonus of waking up to a beautiful scenic view from bed. Very relaxing peaceful weekend what more could you ask for! Kim and Scott always answered any questions I had very quickly. Looking forward to returning next year.

Matthew, James was just excellent deal with in everyway. Always responsive and looking to make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. The cottage is in perfectly private and cozy location. The view of the river and the woods in the snow was beautiful. The cottage is cozy and has more than everything you need. Great place to stay!

Very family friendly log cabin cottage tucked into the forest. Less than 1 hour from Ottawa. Excellent cabin with tons of rooms and beds. clean kitchen with everything we needed. huge table for family meals and boardgame nights. We definitely want to come back.

We stayed with another family and our dogs. There was ample space and lots to do for the kids with the pool table, ping pong table, hot tub, etc. We went skiing at Saint Sauveur and Olympia during the day - both within about 25 minutes drive.
