Beautiful slice of countryside just moments away from the centre of Oxford. Extremely well stocked kitchen with everything you need for a short stay, plus complementary breakfast croissants and milk! Very clean, cozy and comfy.

We loved our stay at Greengage Hut! Lower Nill Farm is beautiful and the location is great, with lots to do and great walks in the local area. Johnathan and Jenny were super responsive hosts and really helpful, especially with the hot tub and bbq! Their place is the perfect for a weekend getaway, and the hut has everything you could need, we felt right at home and couldn't recommend it more! Thank you for a lovely stay!

Overall, accommodation was great and everything went well. Things that I would like to point out. List of amenities these things are not correct. 1. Carbon monoxide alarm for the fireplace. The bedroom is not operational which is a hazard. 2. Coffee machine was not there. We asked and we were kindly given a jar instant coffee. 3. Outdoor to dining area doesn't exist. there is ourdoor furniture but not a dining area. 4. Outdoor kitchen doesn't exist either. They are correct, there is a BBQ as mentioned on the amenities , but that is not a outdoor kitchen. 5. I understand there is no Wi-Fi available. Which would I was okay with as I have 50GB of data. What I was not aware is that the location is in a virtually a signal dead zone there was one spot that we had to go to , if we wanted to receive our Whats-App messages. I would see this as an important thing to mention to people. Lastly , we had the lovely couple who lived at the corner who were available when we needed to ask questions.

Brilliant place for a chilled getaway for the night. Loved the hot tub and meeting all the animals. Would definitely recommend to others. Lynden was also a great host who was very helpful and made sure we had the best time!

Perfect for our short stay in Milton Keynes, hut was lovely and was nice to have some tea and biscuit provisions. Easy check in and a beautiful area to be set up at. Hut is right next to the farm house and store. Fortunately we had no noise from either. Overall very pleased, only slight issue was that the bathroom fan wasn't working (or we couldn't work out how to turn it on) so it got very humid in there, some signs of mould but could be related to the fan so I'm sure will get fixed soon.

Our stay at Lower Nill was so lovely! The hut is so well equipped, very cosy with some lovely touches. We really enjoyed the wood fire hot tub and the pizza oven! Jonathan and Jenny were both so helpful, helped us get the pizza oven going and the hot tub and were just generally really lovely! The farm is really quiet, nice to walk around. Slightly chilly time of year but we managed to get that winter sun one day, and with a coat and the fire pit going it’s lovely!!

Very close to, just 15 minutes, but out of the sprawl of Oxford; in beautiful farmland with fabulous walks and charming pubs, rivers for dipping into. Beautifully decorated space with everything one needs, quietly located in the corner of a field. Really comfortable bed with cushions, perfect place to read, with good light and a window. Recommend local-ish Mason Arms for relaxed coffee and papers. Good shower and thoughtful makeup mirrors in communal bathroom. Very quick response (booked hours before!) and kind and welcoming welcome.

We had a wonderful stay at the shepherd’s hut. It offers everything for a relaxing weekend away from the city. From the stunning scenery to the sweet local village, we highly recommend this to anyone. The hosts were warm and welcoming and gave us plenty of recommendations. There are loads of lovely food options nearby, as well as lovely nature walks to the nearby village of olney. The hot tub was well worth it! We hope to be back soon.

Lovely little cabin in the woods, we had a great stay here over New Year. Milan was very helpful and came to see if we needed anything, although we didn't as the cabin is comfortable and well stocked already. We would certainly come again!

We had an amazing stay at the Pig Hut! This charming shepherd's hut was not only clean and well-maintained, but it also provided the perfect relaxing getaway. The hot tub was the cherry on top, allowing us to unwind under the stars. Our host was incredibly attentive, making sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We couldn't have asked for a better experience and would highly recommend the Pig Hut to anyone looking for a peaceful retreat!

Lovely shepherds hut in a beautiful location with private garden. Merriscourt Team were very helpful and responsive and the hut had all amenities for an overnight stay while attending local festival.

We had such a lovely, peaceful time! The hut was gorgeous (with the wood burner making it extra cosy!) and a great location for getting to the racecourse. We also took a jar of honey home, and it was really delicious. Thank you so much for a relaxing stay!

I recently had the most wonderful stay at this charming shepherd’s hut, for my partners birthday and I can’t recommend it enough! From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the peaceful surroundings and the cozy, beautifully designed space. The hut itself was spotless, warm, and incredibly comfortable, with every little detail carefully thought out to make the stay feel special. The sauna was an absolute highlight, such a luxurious touch! The food was another standout feature - fresh, delicious, and made with so much care. Every meal was a treat, and it was clear that quality ingredients and thoughtful preparation made all the difference. Oey is an outstanding cook! The room was a true haven—comfortable bed, lovely decor, and a peaceful ambiance that made it so easy to relax and switch off. Waking up to the sounds of nature and enjoying a morning coffee with the beautiful views. Thank you Oey and Andrew!

Amazing location, such a hidden gem. We were fortunate that the weather was nice during our stay, and the sky was clear in the evening, so we could see all the stars whilst in the hot tub. Hot tub is a must here, worth every penny. The hut itself was very cosy, clean and beautiful. We were late checking in, and the host Helen kindly gave us extra hours to check out, which we thought it was very kind. Totally recommend this place, and the host. Thank you for letting us stay at your hut. It was magical x

We had a wonderful stay in the shepherds hut, the bed was so comfy and we had a lovely bbq as the sun set. Pauline gave us plenty of privacy but was there to help if needed too.

I had a lovely stay in Tamsin's Shepherd's Hut. I loved the quirky, cosy decor and the peace and quiet. Tamsin is a great host and was in contact with me from when I booked. It is kitted out with everything you need (plug in hob to cook on the stove, air fryer for cooking), lots of information about local attractions and restaurant recommendations. My only regret is that I was only staying for one night! Next time I will stay for longer and will definitely be using the hot tub. Highly recommend this lovely place.

Loved our stay in the shepherds hut felt at home and great for our dogs. Great location to get around The Cotswolds and to the local farm shop. We are usually on edge staying at another property with our dogs but the fact the shepherds hut has an enclosed garden area put our minds at ease. The shepherds hut itself has everything you need for a break and we will definitely visit again.

We had a lovely weekend break away at Bryony’s place, the shepherds hut was exactly as it is in the photos, clean, cosy and a big comfortable bed! We contacted Bryony for advice regarding taxis and she was very helpful and replied straight away. The booklet of information left by the hosts was very useful. I will definitely be returning and couldn’t recommend it enough for a nice relaxing calm and cosy break!

We had a lovely peaceful stay here for our birthday! The bath took a bit of working out to get the right temperature but we were lovely and warm in the end despite it being 1°c outside - thankfully there were bathrobes for us to use which was perfect! The canal and a little shop are literally 2min walk from the hut and we went to a nice pub just down the road (the admiral nelson) - you can either walk down the road or the canal to get there. Our dogs loved the paddock and cosy fire 🔥 Thank you so much 😊

We had the best time. The location was absolutely amazing, so beautiful and remote, and also very near to lots of beautiful towns and villages! There is also a lovely farm shop and cafe round the corner. The sunset you can see from the Shepherd's hut is also stunning. The accommodation itself was everything we wanted - cosy, warm and clean. We had a wonderful stay. So peaceful and perfect to go and relax for an evening after a busy week or working. The views were stunning and facilities were great! We will defo be back in summer!!! X

Just returned from a fab few days at Woodpecker hut. The enclosed garden and walks around the estate were great for our dog. The hot tub was wonderful for sitting out under the stars too. Alice’s food recommendations are spot on - The Bull at Charlbury had delicious food and we combined one of the local recommended walk with the nearby Bruens farm shop for breakfast. A perfect mini break and we hope to return.
