A truely beautiful home , great location . Victoria was always on hand if we needed anything . Very approachable and friendly. An early family Christmas together and we couldn’t have asked for a better place to be .

We had a lovely Easter weekend here as a three-generation family – grandparents, parents, and young children all thoroughly enjoyed it! The house is absolutely beautiful , stylish, and full of character, set in a peaceful spot, it even includes an old water-mill. The location was ideal for us with easy access to Oxford and the surrounding area. There’s a new children's play area just a short walk away, and the local farm shop nearby was perfect for picking up fresh produce and treats – we had everything we needed without having to go far. The hosts were thoughtful and welcoming, and the house was spotless with everything we could need for a comfortable stay. Plenty of space for everyone to relax.

We stayed for just one night, and it was a perfect stopover. Very tidy and had everything we needed. Georgina is very friendly, she gave us some milk too when we realised we forgot some. They've got two lovely dogs, a gorgeous garden and a very spacious bath. Georgina was very flexible with our check-out time since there were no guests the next day. We left around 1pm. Thank you Georgina :)

We stayed for a couple of nights close to Christmas, wonderful stay in this beautiful period home, with the village looking very pretty and festive. Having use of a sauna and pool, while it was frosty outside; made our stay particularly enjoyable!

What a wonderful place to stay! We had a great weekend at stable cottage, location exactly as described, beautiful setting and really comfy beds! The amenities in the place were great and we really enjoyed the log fire in the evenings. Would definitely recommend!

Such a beautiful house - cosy, comfortable, nicely decorated & much larger than I expected! The house is well located for going out and about in Abingdon, or taking the short bus ride into Oxford city centre from the bus stop 2 minutes away from the house. Plenty of nice shops & supermarkets within walking distance, as well as a fun Mexican restaurant and a friendly parkrun. The house is super well equipped, and the hosts are helpful & responsive with super clear check in / parking instructions. Would highly recommend!

The house is in a great location, close to the Headington hospitals which we have been visiting in our stay. Very green area whith natural reserve and parks nearby. Tesco superstore is 10 minutes drive and Oxford city center is 20 minutes drive. Grocery store in 2-minutes walk for basic stuff. The house is cozy, well eqiupped and suitable for a stay with small children. The host team is easy to communicate and had service persons who were around for taking care of garbage, gardening etc. Reccomended.

Great little house for the three of us, good for comfort, working and rest. Walking distance to the village centre, lovely little village, for a pub meal. Carma has been very helpful and a great host. Clear instructions on getting here and accommodating our needs with our two year old. Very comfortable and exactly what we needed.

Had an absolutely wonderful stay. Jane was as friendly and helpful as you could possibly want in a host. It was spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated and the lemon drizzle cake that is there on arrival was delicious! It’s also in a great location - Marsh Gibbon is a lovely village but also a fantastic spot for exploring the wider area of the Cotswolds and Buckinghamshire. Would definitely recommend.

The perfect base for a Christmas getaway and meeting up with extended family in Lane End. A great find! Bee Cottage is charming, spacious but cosy and beautifully presented. Rosie was a first class host....friendly, welcoming and very thoughtful. We really appreciated the food pack....and the Christmas tree was a lovely touch. Thank you for the warmth of your welcome Rosie.

We loved this place. It was hard to leave on the morning of our departure. The surroundings were idyllic. The photos on the website were an accurate representation of the property. It felt like the owners had gone the extra mile to think of everything. A well stocked cupboard including basics like salt, olive oil, milk, tea and ground coffee. The cupboards have beautiful crockery. The decor was of a very high standard. The patio was a real sun trap and we loved listening to the sounds of nature from the local RSPB nature reserve. It is a great location to visit Oxford. We went to Waddesdon Manor which was a great day out. I can't recommend this beautiful home highly enough.

A great place to stay, out of town but easy to access Oxford. Clean, cosy and stylish accommodation, lovely patio, feels like home. Private parking space in front of the house is a great bonus. We had everything we needed for our stay.

Alison's place was perfect for our stay in the Cotswolds. It had a very warm feel and was even nicer than the pictures suggested. The backyard garden was wonderful, and it was set up extremely well for hanging out, cooking and working.

We loved our stay at this stylish but homely cottage. Sian accepted our booking last minute on new year's eve and left some thoughtful treats to enjoy. She was also very accommodating with arranging travel cot for our daughter. The place was very quiet and private. Amazing views out on to the countryside. The inside is well thought through, including everything you would need in a kitchen to cook a full meal. Lovely bathroom products. Perfect location for exploring local Henley on Thames and up to Oxford.

I have stayed in several BNB around the Oxford area, this by far the best place I’ve ever stayed in so far. I have a very high standard for cleanliness and Andre’s place is above my expectations. I can walk barefoot and still have a clean feet. I hope everyone who stays in this place can take care of it well because I definitely will come back to this place again when next time around Oxford. Ps: the beddings are extremely soft and clean, the bed is also very comfortable.

We had a wonderful long weekend stay at Wargrave with 9 of our family for a 70th birthday celebration. We were met by Jef and Ann, Jack's parents, who were so very friendly and very welcoming. Throughout our stay, Jef was on call to help us should we have any questions (such as when we couldn't work out the television/ microwave 😂) Jack was always responsive to any messages as well even though he was abroad at the time. The house is amazing! Very beautiful with wonderful artwork on the walls and comfortable in the extreme. The open plan kitchen/dining room and lounge meant that everyone felt included in proceedings. The weather that weekend was good so we were able to sit outside in the garden and look over the beautiful surroundings. The bedrooms were fabulous - large, light and airy with very comfortable beds and amazing country views from the windows. Wargrave and Henley are a short drive away and good places to visit and great Thames walks. Thank you Jack and Jef for a fab stay

Folley’s Barn is spacious and very comfortable. A large living and kitchen area with plenty of seating. The hamper was a lovely addition and went down well! We enjoyed a relaxing 3 night stay and would recommend the barn as a base for exploring the surrounding area. We visited Cliveden, Marlow and Henley on Thames. We also enjoyed a meal at the Lions in Bledlow and a takeaway from the Cinnamon Longe.

Had a really great stay here at Hamish’s place. Very clear and easy check in. Lovely views from the garden. Down a quiet street so was very peaceful. The beds were some of the most comfortable I have ever slept in. Our whole party have rarely slept so well. Really good spacious communal areas. Kitchen dining and living areas were great. Good pub 5 minutes walk and shops and a really good Chinese nearby. Very good showers and a good size bath for relaxing in. There were 5 of us and it was very spacious for us. Larger groups would also fit comfortably. We had no issues but Hamish was pleasant and very helpful before and during our stay. Highly recommended and hope to stay again myself.

we were happy with our stay over all. The house was an easy 10-15 minute walk to henley centre. plenty of bars, restaurants and shops nearby. we felt comfortable and at home in Peters house. The patio furniture is in need of replacing and the ice and water machine connected to the fridge is temperamental to use. rooms clean and beds were comfortable but would benefit from less wall art above the beds.

We had a wonderful Easter break staying at this lovely home with our family (4 adults and 2 kids). The house was spacious, clean, and well-equipped with everything we needed. The backyard was a real bonus—perfect for the kids to play and for us to relax. Check-in was smooth and hassle-free. The location was ideal for exploring Oxfordshire and the surrounding areas. We’d definitely recommend this place to other families!
