Ayan’s parents received us and they were very accommodating. We felt like home during our entire stay. Home cooked food was too good as well.

Swaroop has an amazing place - spacious, and thoughtfully decorated. Most importantly, Swaroop is an amazing host, the best. He was prompt in helping us out with anything that we needed, very friendly and cool to hangout with and great in communication. It felt right at home! Highly recommend!

What's special about this place? EVERYTHING!! 1. Hospitality: to be honest ...it didn't feel like we were away from home for even once. The owners are very warm hearted, loving and take care of everything without even leaving anything to complain about. They even invited us in for traditional drink - Tongba (I am sorry, if i have murdered the spelling). It was really inspiring to see how they have preserved their traditional values like this. 2. Location: This place little bit off the main road which leads to the most amazing feature of this place - serenity. You will listen to the rooster at 4 in the morning, the moment sun rises , birds starts chirping. The impeccable view of sunrays falling on the kanchenjunga peak is beyond explanation. And the lush green surroundings with Rhododendrons all over the place will make you fall in love with this place. 3. Food: They cook the food with lot of love and nutrients. Although, sikkim is an organic state but their food quality will make you lick your fingers everytime you take a bite. Cleanliness: Sparkling clean!! That's all I want to say. I just want to give one example about how they took care of every teenie tiny thing when we were there: "They put one pair of scissors for cutting the coffee sachets in the room. " I have never seen such gesture anywhere. I just loved this place .

If you’re looking for a remote getaway that offers privacy and the charm of village and farm living, this is the perfect place. My friends and I absolutely loved our stay here. The property is beautifully maintained, and the hospitality provided by the host and their family was exceptional. From the homemade, organic food to the locally crafted liquor, everything was delicious and healthy. The barbecue prepared by the host was a highlight—absolutely “yum yum”! They also went above and beyond to assist us with local sightseeing, making our experience even more memorable. A special mention goes to the host’s sweet grandmother, their lovely niece Neema, and their adorable dog Snoopy, who added so much warmth and joy to our stay. Thank you, Dwakapa, for an unforgettable experience in Yuksom. We’d love to visit again someday!

It is a super cozy place made of wood. It gives the feeling of staying in a different world unlike the most of the properties. The host and the caretaker are very friendly and make sure the stay is worth remembering. Our sightseeing plan was affected by rain, but the caretaker made sure that we enjoyed every bit of us staying in there. The place is a bit out of the city and we need to walk a bit. That's the only downside of this place.

I personally loved the peacefulness of the place. Nima being such a warm host just makes it more enjoyable. Location is good, house is clean, cosy and stuffed with all required amenities. Hospitality is even better, credit to the all efforts Nima puts in. If you are looking for a peaceful stay with a local cultural vibe, this worth every penny. Highly recommended for family and sane people.

The place was absolutely magical! The house was super cozy and good for a group stay. Prayag is an absolutely wonderful host and helps to take care of everything. The view from the place is beautiful , rooms are cozy and clean. Overall - good stay and Would definitely like to come back here :)

The rooms were indeed spacious. Everything was really clean. I particularly loved the bed warmer and the check in key system. Also, MG Marg is a walking distance away. My only suggestion would be to provide some minimum ingredients for cooking like salt and turmeric, as some boarders might prefer to cook themselves.

We had a very comfortable great stay here. It was a very well maintained property and the hosts are really accompanting. They even serve homely breakfast which is delicious. Mr. Tenzing and Mr. Chedup are extremely helpful. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Gangtok.

I had the pleasure of staying at Payong Homestay for 2 nights, and it was an unforgettable experience. The hosts, Ms Chungchung was very warm, welcoming, and went above and beyond to ensure comfort for my family of five. The rooms are spacious as well and privacy is well maintained between the two seperate twin bedrooms with seperate attached bathrooms. The room was cozy, clean, and well-maintained, with all the necessary amenities. The homemade food was delicious and feel very hygenic. I highly recommend Chungchung homestay to anyone looking for a genuine homestay experience with eyes for cleanliness. Thank you Chung for making my stay comfortable.

One of the best places I have stayed in! Everything from the host to the location was perfect. The space was clean, well-maintained, and had everything needed for a comfortable stay. Sonam was incredibly helpful, always available to assist and ensure a smooth experience. The neighborhood was great, with easy access to local spots and transportation. nina's place is very suitable for those who want to be very closed to MG Marg (the main avenue in Gangtok) and be nearby good restaurants, cafés and shops. she helped us a lot being very kind and helpful at all the time. if you are traveling as a group and want to see and enjoy gangtok you should definitely book her place.

I recently stayed at Dhiraj's Alstroemeria Homestay in Darjeeling with my husband, son, and 60+ year old father, and it was a wonderful experience. The homestay is located just uphill near shiv mandir and walkable to Darjeeling Railway Station—while the climb may seem steep, it’s manageable and adds to the charm of being in the Himalayas. Dhiraj and his wife were incredible hosts, always available and attentive to our needs. Despite our late arrival, they greeted us warmly with tea, which my father especially enjoyed. The homestay itself was cozy and well-equipped with a kitchen and geyser for hot water, making it feel like a home away from home. The view of Kanchenjunga from the roof was breathtaking, and the convenience of food delivery from Zomato and Swiggy was a great bonus. Overall, it was a memorable stay, and I highly recommend it for anyone visiting Darjeeling looking for a peaceful and welcoming retreat.

Staying at Michele's Airbnb was the highlight of our Gangtok trip! From the moment we arrived, they made us feel like family. Mr. Topden, with his incredible stories and Michele with her warm and cheerful personality, made every breakfast conversation a delight. The home was spotless, cozy and perfectly located. Their attention to detail and genuine hospitality made our stay unforgettable. Tenzing made amazing breakfast while snowy gave us great company during the breakfast. If you’re visiting Gangtok, staying with them is a must—it’s more than a stay; it’s an experience!

I booked for my mother a nd aunt . According to them inside ambience is clean . As senior citizen to take the stairs is not comfortable. inside the washroom anemities should be added according to price per day kitchen area : tea and coffee ☕ and dry snacks arrange should be more elaborate. Heaters are working effectively during this chiill weather . Nice cosy inside and neat Alll over Nice !!!

Great place and host was also very responsive. The place is very near to MG Marg and taxi stand or Gangtok. Only thing I could add to the experience is mountain view from the balcony. Overall, a very positive and good experience.

Rishi is an extremely good host with excellent communication, one of the best Airbnb hosts we have had the pleasure of meeting. The property was very comfortable, if a little cold in mid-Winter. Plenty of duvets and blankets, so warm in bed! This property is best for people who want to cook for themselves, as local restaurants are a bit limited and it is a long way to town, but food is available to purchase locally to cook at home. But please note that the kitchen has no refrigerator (not a problem in Winter), and no plug for the sink, making it a bit difficult to do the dishes! Overall a very good choice, as it is handy to the zoo and historic parts of Darjeeling.

It was good accommodation close to market place and accessible from any where. Host was good and friendly. Geysers and room heating blowers should be allowed to run simultaneously.
