We really enjoyed our stay at llana's place. A good family vacation. Llana was very helpful and sent messages to check if we needed anything. Would visit again.

Helen and Richard’s home has been lovingly and authentically restored. It is very comfortable and the gardens are full of bird life. The location was perfect for our travels to Hobbiton, Sanctuary Mountain Maungatautari and Waitomo. We highly recommend a stay here.

I really enjoyed my stay at Peter's, great location to visit Hobbiton or the Maungatautari Sanctuary, but à bit far from the nearest shops and restaurants (you need to go in Cambridge, about 25 min drive). Otherwise the surroundings are incredible, with a really great view above those typical hills of The Shire ; )

This place is divine!!! A real piece of heaven tucked away on the river. My husband and I came up to go to Hobbiton for my birthday, and we found this space. Close enough that it wasn't a hassle to come and go for food and such in Matamata, quiet and carefree and so quiet! Would definitely recommend to anyone and already thinking about what else we can book nearby to stay here! Really snuggly and the cabin is nice and warm. The outside shower has the best views. The directions from hosts are very straightforward and they're accommodating! Being on a farm means leaving gates as you found them! We love off grid properties and this one absolutely didn't disappoint. We even caught (and released) a fish off the river! So beautiful. Thank you, Gary and Stacey, for beautiful accomodations for my birthday!! Hope the upgrades go smoothly!

My group and I had a great time at this house. it was easily able to accommodate 10+ adults and had space for all of us to relax and make the most of our time there. Barry was a great host, very responsive to messaging and flexible with our groups requests. We would happily come back.

Craig and Jen are the most friendly and thoughtful hosts. Love their little paradise. Great breakkie selection, friendly horses, and super energetic doggos. 🥰 always quick to respond to any questions you might have or if you need anything. Definitely will come back for another getaway! 🙌

I have stayed here before and was not disappointed on this visit. Even though the location was ideal for my purposes, I would recommend Pine Hill Cottage to anyone wanting peace, serenity and great scenery. The house is neat and clean with all of the amenities of home. I know that this will not be the last time that I apply to stay here. Thank you Aimee!

The home exceeded my expectations! It was beautiful and comfortable, easy to find and get into, and Andrea was very responsive when I had a question about something. My teenage son and I loved our stay!
