What can I say?! Firstly, the accommodation and amenities were absolutely amazing. Welcoming, homely and beautifully presented. We fell in love with Mables the charming little wagon. Although, admittedly, November probably isn't the greatest time to have a outdoorsy escape especially as Storm Bert was making an appearance, we had such a fantastic time. The hot tub was a welcome addition and relaxing with a bottle of wine while the stresses of every day life were soaked away was just what was needed. Martin and CarolAnne were incredibly kind and the perfect hosts. Nothing was too much trouble and they were on hand whenever we needed them but equally respectful to our privacy. We can't thank you enough for our stay and we'll hopefully be back soon with the kiddies in the Treehouse! Fingers crossed for better weather next time!

Woody was a lovely caravan and we'd happily recommend him! Ros and Geoff were friendly and helpful on the farm. Great place to stay.

The Cowboys hut was a beautifully made hut in an idyllic location. Danna left a lovely welcome hamper on arrival and the hut was clean and tidy. The log fire kept us toasty and we would love to visit again.

I have stayed at Gilwern several times, and as with each previous occasion I found Emma had made a huge effort to ensure the accommodation was very comfortable and well presented. I love the views, the peace and quiet, and always enjoy trying to find a fossil in the quarry. I will hope for another return trip in a year or two.

Perfect little shepherds hut, with everything we needed, we enjoyed our weekend stay. Megan is a lovely host and nothing was too much trouble, the farm pets were very friendly too. A lovely Pub down the road with tasty food and very welcoming which we can highly recommend.

my husband and I had a wonder 3 night stay in the shepherd hut. we arrived at 4pm and the hut and hot tub was already warm. the underfloor heating was amazing touch, and the hot tub was fantastic. extremely private and so quiet. Brian's instructions on getting there are very helpful and we used what 3 words. we had a bit of difficulty using the gas bbq, however Brian swiftly came to the rescue to show use how to use it. would definitely visit again. thank you both for a very relaxed break.

My partner and I (and our dog!) spent the Easter long weekend in this beautiful shepherds hut located on the canal! It was absolutely perfect. The hut was equipped with everything we needed. There were so many beautiful sights and hikes we could visit from the hut, not to mention the Osprey that had just nested nearby! The yard was perfect for our dog as it’s all fenced in and had plenty of room for him to roam. Bathrooms were spotless with amazing water pressure. We highly recommend the three Horsehoes Inn, which is just a short drive away and had amazing food and atmosphere. We couldn’t recommend this shepherds hut anymore! Big thank you to Emma who was super responsive and wonderful. We can’t wait to come back ☺️

We had a wonderful time, just what we wanted. The place is secluded enough to feel private and away from it all, yet also within convenient distance to supermarkets, restaurants, and beaches. The host was helpful, friendly, and responsive. The hut is cosy and unique, with comfortable beds, internet, and a tv with Netflix and Prime Video (and more!). We had a blissful week.

Nach dem wir dieses Inserat gesehen haben, waren unsere Erwartungen bereits äußerst hoch. Und sie wurden sogar noch übertroffen!! Und das nicht nur auf Grund der wunderschönen Lage oder der so gemütlich und liebevoll eingerichteten Hütte. Denn Ruth und Jono wären der eigentliche Grund, weshalb wir gerne wiederkommen würden. Diese offenen, freundlichen und positiven Menschen haben uns nicht nur ein gutes Gefühl gegeben, sondern sind uns ins Herz gewachsen. Eines der schönsten AirBnbs, welches es womöglich gibt.

I can’t fault anything here. Andrew and Shari’s hospitality was amazing and the communication and information for our stay and even helping suggest better ways of getting around on our little road trip. The bed was comfortable, a great view, lots of wildlife to watch from your bed or the picnic table outside. We even had a small outdoor fire going one night which was perfect. This is a great location in a rural setting but still only 5min drive from a supermarket and still close to many hikes. Highly recommend this place

Thank you Dominie for providing a wonderful place to stay. The setting was idyllic, overlooking beautiful fields, valley and hills. The shepherds hut is set in a private location on a quiet family farm. It's very peaceful and relaxing. The accommodation is comfortable, clean and perfect for a retreat. The location is an easy 15-20min drive to local shops (Waitrose etc) and some nice local restaurants in Abergavenny, and a similar distance to some great spots to walk / climb up the Brecon Beacons (National Trust Pont ar Daf and Pen Y Fan). I'd definitely be back.

We had a lovely stay, it was peaceful and snug with amazing views from the hut and many walks. Exactly what we were looking for, for a relaxing getaway. The birthday chocolates and card were a lovely touch. Everything was pristine and working , we had a great time.

Incredible hospitality and a beautiful shepherd’s hut! We were looked after incredibly well, with a friendly reception and great recommendations. The welcome pack they provide of milk, eggs etc went down very well and provided us with all the essentials for the 3 nights we stayed there. The hut itself is really well appointed, including an excellent bathroom. The place was spotless and is clearly well looked after. We would definitely visit again and would fully recommend Anna Lisa’s property to anyone.

We loved staying here, the lodge was absolutely spotless and was fully kitted out with everything you’d need. The garden was beautiful and the views were amazing, was perfectly cordoned off for our dog to run around. Liz was great, so lovely and helpful on arrival. Couldn’t fault anything. Would definitely recommend to family and friends. Plenty of walks around and close town to go for a nice drink in the day!

What a lovely tranquil spot with a pretty garden and stream and a lovely outside space to relax. The hut is very nice, a great space and our host was very friendly and welcoming. I would recommend this place and may well return for a longer stay as so much to explore in the area.

Lovely place, great hosts. Could probably do with curtains and the shower is a little weak but that is nit picking. It is pretty much perfect.

Our week here was absolutely glorious. I would highly recommend this as a wonderful place to stay. This is one of the best huts we've ever been to. It was immaculate and the views were outstanding. Watching the sunset here from the hot tub should be on everyone's bucket list. Manon is an excellent host and went out of her way to welcome us. We are already planning our second trip.

This place was just gorgeous. The field was so peaceful and beautiful, the fire pit was lovely and the cabin was so cosy. There were lots of lovely little touches and the bed was so comfy. There was plenty of wood to use and useful items like salt and milk. Great kitchen for cooking and our dog loved it. Thank you for a wonderful stay Maria.

Such a beautiful place to stay! It was absolutely spotless, the staff were amazing and the cabin was the best one me and my partner have visited! I would highly recommend and we will be returning in the future ☺️

What can I say. Place is beautiful! It was our 1st year wedding anniversary and after the place we booked cancelled, we found this and we are so glad we did! Hot Tub was amazing under the stars, and the hut was stunning! Clean, tidy and spacious! Made our anniversary perfect! Thank you to the Host for being amazing!
