When away for a muns relaxing weekend and thats exactly what we got. The house is very comfortable and welcoming. The house has everything you could possibly need plus a pint of local milk. Towls and robs for the hot tub, Towls, hair straightener and hair dryers, TV in every bedroom. Hot tub was ready to use as soon as we arrived. Amazing house

We loved our stay at The Stables, including our dogs. The pub down the road was excellent, so good we had dinner there every night of our stay.

The cottage was beautiful and clean with everything we needed. The hot tub was perfect and private. I could not have asked for more. The photos do not do it justice!

I had an absolutely fantastic stay! The place was spotlessly clean, the hosts were fabulous, and the value for money was incredible. The highlight for me was definitely the hot tub—such a perfect way to relax! I would 100% stay again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a wonderful getaway.

This is a very comfortable, cosy cottage with the most amazing views. It is in a quiet and rural setting with footpaths right from the door up onto the moors or to the reservoirs. A short drive and you can access many more walks. The cottage is spacious and well furnished.

We had a lovely stay at this cosy cottage, felt like home away from home. Everything as described, very clean, nice bed linen etc .Lots of kindling and logs to make a fire, also a pint of milk in the fridge and biscuits left by the host ! Can highly recommend

We had an absolutely lovely time at the Writers Cottage, going on walks and watching films in the lovely living room. The cottage has been beautifully and carefully restored and was full of interesting art and vintage items!

A spontaneous trip last minute to the Peak district, and found a real hidden gem! Andres place is a perfect location for High peaks, and surrounding areas, right on the door step we had so many choices for hikes. Mam Tor just in front of the cottage. The cottage was easy to find and very comfortable and cosy. Slept really well, it's was so quiet. we had lovely coffee , tea, milk and biscuits as a lovely welcome too. Had a wonderful stay. Thank you so much.

Curlew Cottage is a characterful, comfortable and well-equipped home in a great location close to numerous local attractions. The Yorkshire Sculpture Park is a ten minute walk away and with all the amenities of Wakefield a short drive away. Jeremy has provided everything a guest could need for a relaxing and enjoyable stay. The whole placed is squeaky and well presented. We really appreciated the kitchen basic that Jeremy provided, especially hi home made loaf of bread which was delicious., and a lovely touch. Jeremy communicated well, always responding promptly and giving clear and helpful instructions. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend a stay at Curlew Cottage.

We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful cottage. We are a family of 8 adults and the cottage was perfect for our get together. I highly recommend this cottage for a cosy winter stay. We went on long walks from the cottage up Mam Tor and in the surrounding area and visited many of the plethora of pubs in Castleton! Everything was perfect. The hosts are extremely responsive and welcoming. All in all a very relaxing, stress-free break.

We had 5 great days in this lovely, characterful cottage, over New Year. It is really cosy, well equipped and was spotless. Tessa is the perfect host, very responsive, very helpful and went out of her way to make sure we had a great stay. It was a lovely touch to have some milk, butter, bread left for us on arrival. Lovely cottage, as described perfect location for beautiful walks and a very short walk to the local pub for a nice meal. Thoroughly enjoyed our time here and would love to go back again

I spent a great four nights at the cottage. In fact, I spent more time in the cottage than expected as I picked up a cold just before arriving and was fully house-bound for two of the full three days I had in Holmfirth. The cottage was both very cozy but also quite spacious - when on the mend those couple of days I really appreciated having that ample room to keep away the cabin fever. And I really appreciated the Netflix! lol The property is wonderfully located in a very quiet and pleasant area yet only a kilometer or so walk into town. The kitchen is well equipped, the bathroom had ample hot water and water pressure and the bedroom as quiet with great blackout curtains and a very comfy bed. The cottage was just the right temperature for me, clean, decorated with personal touches and cheerfully bright. Sarah provided very helpful information and was quick to respond to any questions I had and to proactively provide other helpful information, too. I hope I can stay here again soon.

Great stay. Great host. House and location were beautiful. Able to make ourselves at home and kitchen had everything we needed. Mattress slightly soft for me in the en-suite room but generally a really comfortable house in a great location. Peaceful, clean, great spaces to hang out and enough space for everyone. Great host and parking in prime part of the Peak District feels like a bonus. Thanks for a great stay. We loved our daily walk to Castleton coffee to start the day in this beautiful place. Only a few minutes from the pubs and cafes in the village.

Katherine made us feel so welcome, and was at hand to help with any questions we had. The Hideaway was the perfect base for us to go and visit friends who lived nearby.
