Me and my partner spent our anniversary here and it was more than perfect! We were looking to get away from the city and this checked all the boxes and then some! We arrived at night and our host even had a fire started for us it was the perfect check-in! We also happened to fall in love with the town we stayed in, the couple times we went into town the atmosphere felt so welcoming! Truly a beautiful place to stay at, thank you Libby!💐

The Puppet Inn exceeded my expectations. The apartment is very well done -- very nice design & craftsmanship, impeccably clean. We were impressed with all of the little details with regard to decorations and amenities. Quality is the constant theme for everything Marisa and Ray have done in creating this special place, and we appreciated all of that. Charming would be one of many positive adjectives to describe their place. Also, ahead of our visit, I commissioned a custom art piece from Ray as a surprise gift for my wife. Marisa and Ray went the extra mile to help with the surprise reveal of the piece to my wife. At the end of our stay, we were so comfortable with Ray & Marisa, that it felt like we were leaving old friends. We were comforted knowing that they are now our new friends, and we look forward to visiting them again. I would recommend the Puppet Inn to any of my family or friends looking for a quality, charming place to stay in the Grass Valley area.

The lofts in Downieville are airy, clean, and well-outfitted. The bed is comfortable, and the queen fold-out in the living room worked well. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you might need. Downieville is our favorite place to visit in California and Sonya's lofts offer everything you need for a pleasant stay. Highly recommended!

Eli’s place was perfect for my needs while working on the American River. I needed a quiet place to shower, eat, do some computer work, and sleep after long days in the sun and water. I stayed for 5 nights and it was exactly what I was looking for.

My friends and I were here on a vacation from work, and it was such a lovely stay! There’s a cute river walk right by the house that we enjoyed very much and very friendly and adorable goats in the front of the house! (They’re secure behind a fence) I would absolutely stay in this airbnb again!

This studio is probably the best spot you’ll find in both Nevada City and Grass Valley. The location is perfect for experiencing the local culture, with great restaurants nearby and an easy-to-navigate area. John is an incredibly cool host, making the stay even better. I’ll definitely be recommending this place to friends and family!

We enjoyed our stay very much. The home was exactly as pictured and very comfortable. Our boys loved the upstairs room with the two twin beds (although if they were smaller I might have worried about them on the stairs, as there is no railing for the last several steps). We loved the cozy fireplace and the hot tub, and enjoyed not having to use our car at all once we arrived— plenty to see and do in walking distance, including a nice park for the dog and kids. The Wild Fern House provided a beautiful and peaceful getaway for our family with everyone having space for themselves. The kitchen was well stocked, living space just as pictured, beds comfy and warm, bathrooms spotless, sparkling hot tub, and great visibility for stargazing. The house is also in a great location, close to amazing hiking trails, swimming spots (if you visit in summer/fall), archery club, markets, etc. We truly enjoyed our stay and all the small details, like the welcome note, essential oil diffuser, having the hot tub hot and ready on arrival, etc. We hope to visit again soon, thank you!

What a fantastic location for escape and privacy! Beautiful, natural surroundings with plenty of wildlife, yet close enough that great restaurants and shops were a short drive away. Amazing views, well-equipped kitchen and good Internet connectivity. We hosted old friends for dinner and felt very relaxed and comfortable in this home. It had everything we needed, and Mi was a very attentive host. Love this area, and would love to return!
