The home was very clean and cozy! All the local restaraunt recommendations were in a binder upon our arrival and the ones we ordered from were delicious. The heater worked very well and the living room even had charming Christmas lights on the mantle for extra charm.

This is an excellent getaway for anyone wanting to enjoy the beauty of Southern Illinois. The price point is great, its much better than a hotel. The washer and dryer is awesome, the kitchen is excellent and would allow someone who can cook to do about anything they want to do. The bedrooms looked great and the living space furniture was fine. I honestly never watched the tv, but it looked like a really nice big screen. Its in a rural spot with very little traffic and quiet, but your minutes away from Carbondale, a little farther down the road is Marion, both places have excellent dining and more city atmosphere. Crab Orchard NWR is almost the back yard.

Enjoyed our stay. Joe was a great host & was there for us if we needed anything.

We came for a family reunion. This was amazing place for a few family's to stay together. Wish it was not so cold so we could have been outside more. I would go back again.

I stayed here for a month and I had the most peaceful time. Everything was clean, a lot of stores and restaurants just 4-5 min drive. David was a such great host he was super helpful and communication was great . I wanted to stay longer but sadly the place was booked . I would def come back in the future . Thank you!

Easily the nicest Airbnb I've stayed in. Extremely quiet neighborhood and perfect for the month while finishing renovations on our house. It is a duplex which made it a little tricky when there were some intermittent Internet issues; I couldn't reset the modem as it was located in the neighboring unit. If you'll be working, there is a desk in the main bedroom, the dining table in the kitchen, or there is a separate bonus room used as a second living room, it just doesn't have a desk in it.

Everything was just as described and pictured. It is a bit of a drive to get back to the property, but Vickie had let us know that ahead of time so we were prepared. We had a great experience.

Love staying here! Amy has absolutely everything you could need! If you forget your razor, deodorant, etc she’s got you covered! She even has snacks and drinks! Great location and terrific communication!

Andrea was an amazing, attentive host. She always responded quickly.. answering my questions & providing suggestion (food, area, etc) . It was a BUDGET friendly ADORABLE tiny space that has been maximized by the trendy decor, great lighting, super cozy BED, & all the little extras you may NEED! Cabin pizza right next door was PERFECT! We walked over in our PJS! (SO LAZY OF US!) THIS AIRBNB HAS A SUPER COZY HAPPY VIBE & PROVIDED MY HUSBAND and I the most lazy, relaxing. perfect weekend! We have the FUNKY LITTLE SHACK saved in our FAVORITE Airbnb file, so we can return!

The Schoolhouse was a perfect spot for our stay in Cape Girardeau! Everything was as described in the listing, and the place was absolutely spotless. We were in town to play a show at Scout Hall, so the location was perfect for us—just two blocks from the main stretch of Broadway St. Because we were traveling from far, we requested an early check in so we could have a safe place to store our gear until it was time to load in. Abbie was very flexible and allowed us to check in an hour early, which was beyond helpful. Plus they had water bottles and snacks already waiting at the bnb so we were able to refuel quickly before heading out on the town. The beds were SO COMFORTABLE. And the bathroom is just gorgeous.

Staying at Ben’s place is always a pleasure. The location is perfect, the unit has more than you could need, and Ben is always very responsive if you need anything. 5 stars as always!

Gail & Frank’s place was exactly as described. It was a very cozy place. Meticulously clean, great neighborhood, and close to SEMO which made it great for visiting our daughter. The bed was so comfortable and the little details such as milk, little cereal boxes, coffee and tea did not go unnoticed. We would definitely stay here again!

I stayed here for two days to make my commute to work easier with the weather, so a very last minute booking. I was so pleased at how fast Angela responded & got me in there. She was super helpful & the place was so nice & clean! The instructions to get there, and to get inside were spot on too! Definitely recommend this place & will be telling co-workers if they’re looking for somewhere to stay :)

Great location and beautiful place to stay. We loved the numerous apps on the television and the super close proximity to downtown. The owners had a beautifully decorated and comfortable apartment . Beautiful outdoor area as well to enjoy nature or your favorite show.

we stayed here to look at houses in the area. the house was awesome, beautiful views of the lake. host was very responsive and even gave us suggestions for our house hunt. very flexible on our check out time. I would highly recommend!!

Michael is a friendly, helpful, and responsive host. Check-in was easy and we were able to park near the door. The place was warm and inviting and clean when we arrived. Beds and linens were sooo comfy. We had everything we needed and it’s super close to downtown and eating places. Great location! The host even had some bottled waters and breakfast bars waiting for us which helped us get off to a great start. I did see in another review that there isn’t a curtain for the window on the door, so I came prepared for that. Overall, a great place. Will definitely stay again if I’m ever back in town.

This Airbnb was immaculate! Very impressed with the cleanliness. Not one thing over-looked! I have never seen such a well-appointed rental including high-end appliances. Was very quiet & comfortable. Perfect location as we have a favorite restaurant we walk to!

This is my second time staying at The Dim Light and it was just as good as the last time! The hosts are communicative and very thorough in providing check-in details. The space is clean and unique with a nice homey vibe to it. If I ever end up in Paducah again on an overnight trip, you better believe the first place I'm checking for availability is The Dim Light. My ONLY complaint was that the disco ball fell from where it was hung on the ceiling...which not only was a little startling when it happened, but it also narrowly missed one of my personal possessions sitting below it. All good though, no harm - no foul. Just something for the hosts to consider when it comes to decorations! 10/10 would stay again!
