I spent a long weekend at Simon and Belinda’s place in Chapel Stile. They were abroad during my stay, but this didn’t matter - their communication was excellent and the place was superb, with lots of local recommendations. Thanks, would certainly stay again.

We had a weekend lovely stay in the cottage. It was very clean and cosy with a completely fenced in back garden with a hot tub. Lovely walks around and a shop within walking distance. Jane was very responsive when we had questions, which was highly appreciated. Would absolutely come back and highly recommend!

this is our second stay here and it's a brilliant little spot. hot tub is lovely and the accommodation is all well appointed. great walks by the river and good enclosed garden for dogs. we'll be back for a third visit I'm sure!

We had a lovely stay at Claire’s property. I can’t recommend it enough! From the moment we arrived, I was impressed by the cleanliness and comfort of the space. The property was beautifully maintained, with all the amenities you could possibly need for a relaxing stay. The hot tub was always warm surrounded by beautiful scenery. We will definitely be returning.

we found a little gem in this cottage, great location to tour around, found some lovely walks with great views in the surrounding area, the roads are a bit dodgy lots of potholes so drive carefully, the accommodation was well equipped nice little touches like complementary chessboard,procecco, fresh eggs, tea coffee & condiments, we missed a freezer compartment in the fridge but managed for a few days break, the bed was comphy the shower was lovely and the hot tub was great with amazing views in a private garden for our dogs to run freely, there was little treats left for them aswell, ide definitely recommend the stables

The coach house was perfect for our family group of 10 adults. The sitting room and dining area was a lovely space to relax and dine in. We loved the wood burning stove which gives out such a good heat. The whole house was warm and cosy during a cold February weekend. Bed linen and towels were good quality and we enjoyed tasting local produce from the hamper. The drive in was further than we had expected but it’s a lovely private and peaceful location. The hot tub was a welcome addition although it did take a long time ( plus lots of logs) to get up to temperature. I would recommend the Coach House for a large party or gathering - we all enjoyed our stay!

Excellent hosts home made cake lovely welcome pack was very nice touch even put candles on the cake and decorated for my birthday very helpful with local places to visit and eat rose barn was immaculate we felt right at home don’t essitate to book it’s stunning stay thankyou again

For what our group wanted it was perfect not a bad word to say about the place, perfect or group weekend away in the country side just what a place!

An absolutely lovely cosy cottage in beautiful and quiet surroundings. The cottage is only a short drive from great walks around the Lake District. The bath is spectacular and was perfect after a long day up Scafell pike!

We had a lovely few days at this well-appointed, spotlessly clean and cosy cottage. Our friendly hosts were there when we arrived to talk us through everything which was very helpful. Although the weather was beautiful by day it was chilly at night so the log burner was a lovely addition. Both bedrooms and bathrooms were immaculate and spotlessly clean, with VERY comfortable beds, extra pillows and fleece blankets for the beds The main bedroom has a super-kingsize and it might be the most comfortable bed I've ever slept on! The kitchen was also well-appointed with a nice space to eat and everything you might need. I also really appreciated the eco-friendly touches throughout. A pretty little garden outside leads to the Aira Force walk down the valley and it's picture postcard pretty. Dockray is set in a truly stunning location with Ullswater only a few minutes drive. We didn't want to leave and hope to return!

we had a wonderful, comfortable and cosy stay over new years! we loved feeding the chickens at the bottom of the garden and seeing the sheep every morning! the bed was incredibly comfortable! thank you so much!

We had such a lovely time in Moffat and having the cottage to come back to after a day of walking and sightseeing is like a home away from home. It is so peaceful and you have absolutely everything you need inside. Jan and Martin are both lovely and made us feel very welcome. We come to Moffat at least once a year and we would not hesitate staying hear again and again

We had an exceptional stay at Manesty ! The location in was absolutely stunning, surrounded by beautiful scenery that made the visit truly special. The area was calm and peaceful, providing the perfect retreat from daily life. The host's instructions were clear, making the check-in process seamless. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking to enjoy the breathtaking beauty of the Lake District in a serene and relaxing

Peace, solitude, beautiful bird song, walks from the gate..what more could you ask for from a few spontaneous days away. Really appreciated the digital detox and loved sitting with the friendly glow of the fire watching Willow on DVD! Old Skool and so cosy and relaxing! A lovely find, set within beautiful countryside,with a real cosiness to welcome you home. And our Dusty dog loved it !

Lovely house in the Whitbarrow village. Nicely decorated and within easy driving distance of Penrith/Keswick etc. House well furnished and had everything we needed. Onsite restaurant wasn't great - would recommend venturing into Keswick or one of the surrounding villages instead. The swimming pool and other facilities were good but being upgraded/renovated at the time of our visit.

Wonderful stay! Really felt at home. Nadina was so kind & helpful. Place was 5 mns walk from town shops. Wonderful mountain cirw from the bed. Place is in the middle of all the attractions but we drove to locations but her place was a good base from everywhere. Would definitely recommend! Worth the money ♡ With a helpful guide book for the house too. With private parking just outside the door.

We had a great week. The hosts had made it very welcoming and christmassy (including tree in lounge). It's a beautiful location and in better weather would be a great base for the lakes/dales. It has a well stocked kitchen and once we'd worked out the log burner/heating was easy to keep warm. We were warned about the driveway which at points is like off-roading, but we did manage to navigate it without 4x4's. If you are up for a secluded location, or a base for hiking, or just somewhere to relax then I would recommend.

We had a lovely stay at Elliot’s cottage despite the wet and windy weather. The nearby beaches were clean and quiet, there were some lovely farm shops and the Cream o Galloway was a definite hit with our kids. Everyone in the village was really friendly from our neighbours to the butcher. The house had everything we needed and there was so much for families to do nearby. The Gem museum was fascinating g, there were loads of art activities in Kirkcudbright and forest walls direct from the cottage. Mossyard beach was the closest and our favourite. It had parking, rock pools, shallow waters and a lovely farm shop cafe and most importantly a loo! I would highly recommend it for a family holiday.
