Had an enjoyable weekend stay at Daphne’s apartment. Everything was exactly as described. Spotlessly clean, warm, inviting. Easy to check-in and out, and Daphne’s communication was swift and faultless. All in all, a perfect stay - I will aim to use again in the future. Book with confidence.

Can’t recommend this place any higher. So cute, comfy and private. We were able to take our rented car to many spots in the Lake District from here, and loved returning home to the cottage after days of walking and exploring to relax completely in this lovely space. It’s a must-stay for anyone exploring the Lake District! Having a car is a must too, not just for this property but for exploring this region, it’s not very well connected by any other form of transport.

Gary's apartment is a joy to behold. A sympathetically designed loft with feature beams adding a rustic vibe, the accommodation is perfect for couples looking for luxury on a budget. The property is bright and spacious, super clean, well decorated and tastefully styled. Very comfy bed and linen, plenty of high quality pristine white towels in the stunning bathroom. The photos tell it all. Access via a smart key pad means you don't have the worry of losing the key and enables a smooth check in. Located in the centre of Whitehaven, there are numerous cafes on hand for breakfast as there is no kitchen. We enjoyed Howling Woolf at the Beacon in the harbour and the full English in Dixon's department store is a steal. Gary was really kind and attentive, responding to messages in super quick time. Places like this are rare, book it!

Such a stunning place, an absolute gem! The apartment was very spacious and beautifully decorated. Everything was really clean and and we all the amenities ine could think of. Never had so many alternatives for making coffee in one place 😄 Piers left a host of recommendations on what to do and where to eat for us as well. If you ever are in the area, this is the place to stay.

Excellent place to stay if you’re exploring Lake District. The house was beautiful, clean and cosy. We felt right at home. Kev & Shona provided all the basic things we needed for a getaway, and they were friendly and communicative hosts. The location was perfect too. Looking forward to visiting again!

This is the 2nd time we have stayed at Laal Cwtch and it didn’t disappoint. Fleur and John always go above and beyond to make you feel welcome with a friendly message and treats! We had such a lovely stay, James was very helpful and responsive. The house felt like a home from home and had everything we needed and more. It was the cleanest Air BnB we've stayed in, with the most comfertable bed we've stayed in too! Neighbours were really helpful and friendly. The children loved waving to the horses. The parents loved having a filter coffee with a sea view, it was bliss. We can't wait to stay again, thanks so much!

Great location and a small walk in to Keswick. Apartment was as described and peaceful. Good spot if you’d like to be outside of Keswick and great views of the lake. Host was extremely responsive to any questions I had. Would recommend staying here.

The apartment was lovely, it had everything we needed and more, it was very cosy and the surrounding area is beautiful. All of the instructions for arrival were so helpful and clear. The building is split in two with a guest house and self catering apartments, it seemed like there were quite a few people staying there but you wouldn’t have known, it was very quiet. The gardens are nice, again split in two, so half are for the self catering apartments and half for the guest house. Grasmere is such a lovely village, very small and walkable but even so the apartment is in the most central location with everything very close by.

Second time we’ve stayed here and it has been fantastic both times. Lovely accommodation in a beautiful area.

Paula was a great host and the apartment was perfect for what we needed. We’re regulars in Portinscale and Keswick - would definitely return to this apartment in the future as it had everything we needed to settle in and enjoy our break. Excellent and cosy stay in a comfortable basement flat. Very quiet setting with lovely views from the door and a beautiful quiet garden to utilise. Walking distance to Grasmere and onto the hills. Everything of good quality in the flat and easy to access and park. Highly recommended
