Don and his home are amazing! Don was very friendly and funny. He provided many local recommendations as well as through the islands. My husband grew especially fond of his cockatoo Woody. His home was equally superb. You can't beat the views and the accommodations were amazing. Absolutely one of our favorites from our stay in NZ!

Elizabeth was a great hostess. All communication was timely. The house is beautiful and very well equipped. The toys were a big bonus for our grandson.

Excellent communication with Bruce and Philipa at all times. House was well placed in elevated position within walking distance to town. Anyone not able bodied would be advised to drive to town as the walk back to the house involves a short steep section. Plenty of parking options in town. House was well equipped, particularly kitchen. The beds very comfortable. Our favourite was the small sunroom with two large armchairs looking out to the town and harbour. The inter island ferries were fascinating to watch coming and going. Good value accommodation.

Absolutely stunning place with views of all of Picton. Situated on a mountainside with floor to ceiling windows. The furnishing was great, but hard to even go inside because the view and balconies were plentiful. Thank you for a stay that exceeded all of our expectations.

The house was so perfect for 3 ladies. Beautifully decorated! We enjoyed our own rooms and private bathrooms, the lounges and outdoor space. The kitchen was very user friendly and the garden was beautiful. We would highly recommend staying for some many reasons!

We had a pleasant stay. The house is built to make the most of the location, with a spacious patio overlooking Waikawa harbour. It is well equipped for cooking and entertaining. It’s an idyllic retreat, yet conveniently located just outside Picton which offers restaurants, cafes and two outstanding bookstores. Only half an hour’s drive away are the celebrated Marlborough vineyards some of which have excellent restaurants such as Wairau River. 

A well equipped lovely place in one of the world’s special places. Exceeded our expectations and a great spot to have a break.

The accomodation is a little bit away from the center and the beautiful view is a little bit taken away from by the electrical wires. But you have all you need, the host is really friendly and responsive. it's next to a busy road, but at night, it's really quiet. We slept well and had a good time in Picton! Good beds, good shower, lots of condiments in the fridge. To recommend.
