We stayed at Aamir’s place in July 2024 when we visited Kashmir for the first time with our families. Aamir, Muneer and Aadil made the entire experience extremely comfortable. The very day we arrived, we were upgraded without asking for it as they saw that my mum in law can’t walk a lot so we were given the rooms close to the entrance. We arrived quite late (around 10pm) because of flight delays and had no idea where we will find food from at this hour but they made sure that we don’t sleep hungry. They prepared a full meal this late in the night and for all days that we stayed there, even if we needed something at 1am in the night, they were all happy to help. The place is beautiful and very nicely maintained. They have a beautiful garden just behind the rooms where we had breakfast and made some core memories. Aamir also recommended some places to visit and helped make transport arrangements. Thank you for the amazing hospitality. This was home away from home.

Our stay at Aamir's place was a delightful experience, even if it was just for a night. Their hospitality began right from the moment we landed at the airport. They had arranged a ride for us, not only for our airport pick-up, but also for our transportation needs around the city of Srinagar and to our subsequent destination, Gulmarg. We want to make a special mention of Bilal, who was our driver. Bilal ensured our travels were smooth and safe Munir was a friendly and accommodating host. He went the extra mile to cater to our needs, making sure we were comfortable and that everything was to our liking, made our stay even more memorable. The place itself was a sight to behold. It was just as beautiful as it was in the photos, with its elegant decor and welcoming ambiance. We found ourselves wishing we had the luxury of time to extend our stay for a few more days. We look forward to returning to stay a little longer to fully soak in the beauty of the place and hospitality.

Great location & great hospitality!! The airbnb is located in quite posh area. The mall, polo street market, restaurants etc are very close to the location, almost walkable. The host & staff are very hospitable. They gave us great recommendations for food & places to visit. This property is more like a guest house. You’ll have separate floor to yourself with 3BHk/4BHK. Breakfast is complementary and is served in common dinning area for all the accommodating guests. It was overall value for money.

I along with my parents stayed at Aamir’s property for 3 nights during Ramzan. We picked the Emerald room, although if the booking allowed, I would have picked the Sapphire room. He is a super amazing host and personally made sure everyday that we were comfortable and had everything we needed. His head of staff, Munir, looked after our everyday needs from breakfast to dinner and was super attentive and responsive! They even have an amazing Kashmiri chef, who cooked authentic wazwan for us. We are Kashmiris and loved the food everyday! They even got us Kashmiri breakfast from the bakers every morning. All this was done while they fasted every day. Hotels are transactional relationship but here at Aamir’s place, you have an opportunity to create a one-on-one relationship with him and his super amazing staff led by Munir! We look forward to staying there soon!

If you are looking for a quiet and luxurious stay and experience the best in Kashmiri hospitality, go for this one. P.S. - If you’re a group, request for the Kashmiri wazwan experience. The in-house chef will blow your mind.

My stay at Heritage Bungalow in Srinagar was nothing short of magical. Nestled in a serene location, this beautiful property perfectly blends British colonial charm with Kashmiri aesthetics, offering a unique and luxurious experience. What I Loved: The rooms are well-furnished, clean, and equipped with fireplaces, making them perfect for chilly evenings. The beds were comfortable, ensuring a restful sleep. The staff was extremely attentive and polite, always ensuring that every need was met. Their warm hospitality truly made the stay special. If you’re looking for a stay that offers a blend of history, comfort, and top-notch hospitality, Heritage Bungalow is the perfect choice. I would highly recommend it for families, couples, and anyone who appreciates a unique and peaceful stay in Srinagar…. 🫶🏻❤️

Our stay was exceptional for mostly one reason: Shabir himself. No other Houseboat could possibly have the same experience without Shabir. They are all beautiful, ornate traditional generational vessels however they don’t have Shabir. He is incredibly courteous, ever mind full of his guests and nothing is too much trouble. We are three meals a day with him and coffees in between. Delicious and very well priced. We really enjoyed his company; he’s very smart and warm. Knowledgeable and friendly. An amazing human being and we thank him for taking such care when we were so far out of our depth culturally and climatically. He could not have done a better job and organise ‘home’ visits of local culture and wares ( beautiful cashmere and leather wool a fraction the price of the markets and pure quality ) and onward transport to Gulmarg for snow boarding. Saying goodbye was hard for us Thank you Shabir.

Shabir is a SUPERB host! He was considerate and attentive, ensuring our stay was comfortable., Check-in instructions were detailed and his responses quick. Shabir was respectful of our privacy yet always available when needed. He went above and beyond to make sure we felt at home. The Houseboat itself was pristine and beautifully decorated with local handicrafts. Shabir has done an incredible job preserving its character and authenticity while offering modern conveniences. It has everything you’d need, from comfortable beds, lounging chairs, hot shower/bath, toiletries, utensils & extra blankets. The dining set is a work of art, carved in walnut wood. The views of the mountains, the lake left us in awe, especially at sunrise and sunset. We were surrounded with water lilies. The scenic serenity was perfect. We loved our stay here & recommend it very highly to everyone! Thanks for such a lovely stay Shabir, we look forward to seeing you again.

It was my repeat stay at Shuja's place after 7 years. He is great host and always there to help. He ensured stay was comfortable. He went of his way and came to airport to receive us. Which was very nice gesture. House is walkable from Dal lake and we can enjoy the garden as well fromhere easily. He ensured good itinerary for rest of trip also. A friend's home.

We did a workation here with 12 colleagues. The property is very well maintained and the owner and care taker are both very cooperative. Thanks for hosting us.

Warm, welcoming and verg comfortable. Its a beautiful location with wonderful views. Quiet. Just what we were looking for. We did a lot of site-seeing, and shangrff was just wonderful to return to and unwind. Lovely sunset views, mornkng views of snow clad mountains. Very warm and hispitable caretakers and the manager yasmin was alwsys avaialble for any information.
