Henry and April were an amazing host, they were super respectful and responsive. They were flexible and helpful for checking in as we had to check in a bit earlier due to winter storms. Whenever we had a any questions or help they were there quickly. The view and area was beautiful even in the winter and we enjoyed being there. Will definitely visit again in summer time.

FALL GETAWAY-Stayed Oct 18-20, 2024 with friends. The surroundings at this cottage in the fall are absolutely beautiful lots of fall colours and wildlife. There's a lovely beach just down the road we had great weather so it was nice to go for a walk, very peaceful not allot of people this time of year. We had dinner at Macphersons on Friday night which was very good and pizza the following night at Grogs which was also very good. Host Rebecca was wonderful, helpful, very worry free experience. Great cottage very clean had everything you would need to enjoy your stay. Fantastic getaway to unwind and enjoy the outdoors would highly recommend.

Great home base for family visiting to see the Lions take on the Vikings at Ford Field. The neighborhood was quiet and the space was clean and comfy.

Would recommend, Kal is awesome.

The place was extremely beautiful and clean. The location is soothing on the eyes. Chris was very accommodating and generous.

This place was all that plus more. Pictures don’t do this listing justice. The pool is amazing and large. The kitchen is very large. Very spacious overall. Great wrap around porch to sit and enjoy the breeze. 5 minutes to restaurants, grocery store, the lake and pier. Will definitely stay here again. Belle River is a must to stay in and Dave’s property is the best.

We enjoyed our stay at Ashley’s house. We appreciated the location and quiet neighborhood. It was very kind how the pathway was salted from during our stay. We would definitely stay again.

We stayed here with our wedding party for our wedding weekend. There was ample space for everyone to stay, plenty of bathrooms with great shampoo/conditioner. The bride and bridesmaids got ready at this house before the event and there was plenty of room for two makeup artists and a hair stylist without feeling crowded at all. Bonus is that it was super close to our venue! Overall the house is beautiful, the service was great and we would highly recommend staying here to anyone!

We had everything we needed and more! Beds were super comfortable as well as linens. The added touches like a record player, a few welcome snacks, etc were so nice! Beautiful, unique place. It was very cozy. Nick is just straight up a wonderful human being, if you need anything he will make it happen. So many restaurants and things to do nearby. Hope to visit again.

We had a lovely stay. Nice and quiet. There is a private beach close by which was really nice with a beautiful sunset. Host is amazing and would stay again!

Enjoyed our time in the area. I'm from the lake area and enjoyed being centrally located to friends and family. Its a quiet location for the most part. Commonly refered to as a carriage house, located over the garage, you do here conversations and comings and goings of people adjacent to the property. We found everything we needed in the apartment. Bed was firm. which we enjoy, very cofortable. Linens were nice and served our stay well. Heating and cooling worked well and there was ample hot water. It takes a bit to reach the upstairs, but once it does, the pressure is good. Be aware that the stairway up is quite steep...may not be suitable for some. There are hand rails and a light in the stairway. There are a number of restaurants in the area...M29 diner is a favorite and Marine City Fish Company just up the river is also one of our area favorites. We would maybe stay here again if in the area, but think we prefer fully private dwellings.

Great place for our visit. Sharon was accommodating and very friendly. The bed is also super comfy! Haha Wish we were in Detroit longer! Would definitely rent from Sharon again.

Karen does an amazing job with this place. It is everything the listing said it was, plus she added personal touches and welcoming gestures to make us feel at home and comfortable during our stay. We were travelling for the holidays on short notice due to a death in the family, and couldn't be bothered with a lot of extra distractions. Karen's place was quiet, safe, clean and a joy to stay in. It was our oasis and refuge during a difficult week. Karen's welcome cookies and wine, plus some small but thoughtful holiday decorations, really made a difference for us. I would recommend this place to anyone coming to Birmingham for a visit. Yes, it is walking distance to downtown B'Ham, in a state where walkscore is a foreign concept! That was a big plus for us, even if we couldn't take full advantage of it. Thank you Karen!

My bestie & I celebrated our 40th Friend Anniversary and it was perfect. We had a bonfire, which was set up by Yvonne’s son, roasted marshmallows and had a really peaceful night. In the morning we spent time feeding the Alpacas, took a walk with them and looked at the little shop. It was a wonderful stay and we will be back.

While we did have a little trouble finding the place (gps issues), once we got there we immediately felt the stresses of city life start to leave our bodies. I will say it would have been a better time had the weather permitted it :’), we didnt get to enjoy the lake or beach areas nearly as much as we would have if it had been nice and warm, but we still made the most of it. Meditating by the water was def a favorite, especially going down the stairs (watch your step!) to get a real close up of the waves crashing. The cottage was adorable and perfect for 2 people, and we really appreciated the fireplace/heater as it got chilly in the night. Venturing into the small town and exploring the local shops was also very enjoyable, the people here are quite friendly and make sure you stop by Huron Cafe to get a good bite to eat!! 🫶🏼

Great getaway spot that has everything you need to relax for the weekend. We got lucky and stayed here during a snowy weekend which was awesome to watch with the fireplace going. We didn’t need to reach out to the host for anything which shows how prepared this cabin is for guests. We would gladly stay again

Staying at the Chakra Shack was an incredible experience! The cabin is beautifully designed, cozy, and offers a perfect off-grid retreat. The views were breathtaking, especially with the snow-covered surroundings – it was the ideal winter escape. The host was fantastic, providing extra firewood and being kind and communicative throughout my stay, which made me feel very welcome. Overall, I had an amazing time and would highly recommend the Chakra Shack to anyone looking for a peaceful and rustic escape. I am already planning my next trip with my friends! Thanks Selena ❤️

Amazing location and amenities - we had a great time hanging out in the game room and on the beach, and the host was very quick to respond. Town was under 10 minutes away so it was easy to get groceries, and the kitchen was well stocked with pots and spices to cook with.

The place was clean and organized. Everything was easy to find and identify from wifi passwords to instructions to follow. Would definitely come back here again in the summer hopefully

We loved this cozy lil cabin in the woods! We just so happened to come during one of the snowiest weekends this year, and it was a dream (Brent even made sure to come over and clear the road & driveway so we didn’t get snowed in)! ☃️ With the wood stove and big comfy bed & blankets, we stayed warm and cozy the whole weekend. Our pup loved the outdoors, with lots of space to run and forest area to explore. As long as you’re okay with outdoor cooking and chilly cheeks ;) when going to the bathroom, I’d highly recommend this spot for your next cozy winter getaway! Brent & Jessica were friendly, helpful & very responsive hosts! Thanks again, we’ll have to come back to check it out in the summer months 🤩

Enjoyed our stay very clean a lot of necessities for us more than expected you really don’t need to bring anything but food they had everything you could think of there to use for cooking supplies… was also was very easy to find and the neighbors around us were nice also would definitely recommend…
