Our stay at the cabin on the private lakefront property was nothing short of amazing! The view of the lake, especially during sunset, was absolutely breathtaking. The property had everything we needed for a perfect getaway—lots of amenities, including provided firewood and fire starters, which made evenings by the fire so enjoyable. There were plenty of outdoor activities to enjoy right on the premises, making it the ideal spot for relaxation and adventure. Highly recommend for anyone looking to unwind in a beautiful setting!

Overall great stay. Pet friendly and there is an enclosed backyard. Gregory had hired someone to shovel/plow snow, but they came quite early in the morning, which was unavoidable, but something to consider in the winter and you have young children or have brought along a dog.

What a beautiful, new home! Very clean and tidy. Everything from the kitchen and bathrooms, and bedding was clean and smelled fresh. We were there as my daughter had to have jaw surgery, and she had a large bed and ensuite bathroom to heal and recover. I felt right at home being able to cook wholesome meals for myself and my daughter. Quiet neighbourhood and close to everything, including the hospital.

Comfy home, lovely hosts were friendly and helpful, great dog walking area in neighbourhood near house, have stayed quite a few times and would stay again ! Highly recommend the host and home

Loved this stay for a weekend getaway, everything is neat & tidy with close amenities. Gerda was more than accommodating, and was excellent with her communication.

James was very attentive, always easy to reach, and receptive to any suggestions we had. The property itself was a beautifully secluded haven, perfect for recharging and finding peace. The surrounding landscape is nothing short of a potpourri of natural wonders, offering an immersive experience in areas beauty. We enjoyed every moment there and are most definitely interested in making a return trip during swimming season.

We stayed at Pond #8 which was a short drive from the main resort. We didn’t use any of the resort amenities because we enjoyed our cabin so much! The pictures don’t do it justice. It’s the perfect wilderness getaway. The staff at check in/out were very friendly. We will definitely be coming back and staying longer.

Breathtaking views for a lovely winter getaway! Plentiful surroundings for snowshoeing along the lake, through the wooded yard and enjoying deer sightings. Hugh was always responsive and friendly.

This is my second stay at Don's family camp, and I'll continue to book here when it's available. Don is one of the most responsive hosts I've know, and I've stayed in over 30 Airbnb's. If you're looking for something remote, but still have basic amenities plus a couple extra perks like a sauna and outdoor fire pit ... this is the place. If phone and internet service are critical, you might want to look south of the Mackinac Bridge. For my needs, I hope Don and his family continue to share their camp.

This was by far the best stocked Airbnb that we've ever stayed at! They thought of everything - beach towels, extra fans in every room, a charcoal grill, smores skewers, and even a waffle maker! The house was clean and had some character - we loved the look of the built in high tabletop and plenty of river themed decor. For those who are picky about your drinking water, it seemed to be well water, so we ended up buying a lot of water jugs. Great location for a 'get away from it all cabin'. It was close enough to Sault Ste Marie and Mackinac Island to make day trips to those spots, yet far enough away from the city life that ship watching was the exciting part of the day and star gazing quality was fantastic - we even saw several meteors (granted we stayed during Perseids Meteor showers peak). Our hosts made some fantastic restaurant recommendations for us while we stayed. We wished we could've done more of the activities they suggested, but some were too far for our kiddos.

Exceptionally clean cottage. A little off the beaten path, but exactly as advertised.

Erin is fantastic! She is very easy to communicate with and quick to respond. House was great! Plenty of space and nicely located near Soo-related activities. From a strictly human perspective, everything was perfect! For humans with dogs, it’s a bit tough to not have a backyard to tie them out and to navigate the winter weather slush. Highly recommended!

Flora was a sweet host. She checked in to make sure that everything was ok and if we needed anything. We were there for the Agawa Train Ride. The cabin was about 30 minutes north and easily accessible. We enjoyed our stay there and loved the location.

We had a great time staying at the rookery. Would definitely recommend for a peaceful getaway. Janet is very responsive and a great host, we plan to come back again soon!

Had a great relaxing girls weekend. Would definitely come back in the future!
