My husband and I love history. So staying in a 150 year old house that even has a BOOK written about it and the area? SOLD! The house was even better than the pictures in my opinion, because there are so many little details we just kept finding wall walking around the house. It’s nestled in the woods, so it was quiet and gorgeous. It was such a cool house, but we truly loved the book about the house/hotel and the area. It made us feel a part of history!

We stayed for 6 nights/5 days for Mardi Gras! We are more than impressed with our stay! From the location, cleanliness, responsive host, the list goes on! The home was even better than described and we could have easily stayed here another week! Absolutely beautiful home and outside deck! Being right on the bayou and the ability to enjoy the wildlife and nature was unmatched! Not a far drive from New Orleans and felt very safe and at home! We will stay here every time we head to NOLA!!! If we could give 10 stars we would!

Lindsay was a great communicator and the home was exactly as described. The location is at most 15-20 minutes away from great food and entertainment. I highly recommend staying here and checking out the Haven coffee shop 10 minutes away. Great location, great host, and a great time!

This location was ideal for our family. We have young children and Robin and Lucy had a crib, a little newborn bath tub and toys for all the kids to play with. The property was peaceful and we felt right at home. This home was clean and inviting. The decor added to the wonderful experience as it truly was a home away from home for the holidays. I would recommend this home to anyone who is looking for a relaxing getaway.

We stayed here for a week and a half. The place was a nice cozy cottage with everything we needed. It was a rural setting with a very large yard and porch. Although it was too cold when we visited , it would have been perfect to sit on the porch at the end of the day. We enjoyed our stay and would stay again

This house was everything and better than described. The house was clean and comfortable, easy to find and access was convenient. The pool and waterfront was a nice bonus. Lisa’s communications were prompt and informative. We paid a premium for the house over the Thanksgiving holiday probably better value other times of the year. Overall great house for our family. Thank you Lisa for making it so easy.

This place was perfect - clearly remodeled with beautiful furnishings and appliances, huge yard, very comfortable, door alarms for safety, secluded yet close to everything we needed. Shannon was very responsive and professional. Will stay here again next time we’re in town.

Our stay at Carrie's place was fantastic! The home was clean and looks exactly as described. The location was bit in convenient. Carrie was incredibly responsive. I would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting this location and would love to stay again!

Thomas was quick to respond. The house is beautiful, clean, and walking distance to Olde Towne Slidell, basically anything you need…coffee, restaurants, bars, hair/nail salons, ice cream, putt putt golf…

This was a very great place to stay. The backyard was peaceful, and a beautiful scenery. I also want to add that the view of stars at night above the water is an absolute sight to see on a clear night. Thank you for an amazing time and great experience.

Absolutely loved the home. Was perfect for our needs of relaxation and comfort. The property was beautiful and enjoyable to be outside.

If you like privacy and outdoor / water activities this is the place for you. The property is very private and large and the house is big as well. The bed is super comfy and I had such an amazing and relaxing time sitting on the porch. Only downsides are it can be too windy occasionally to sit and eat outside and birds might use your car for target practice if you know what I mean but that comes with staying on the water. Overall very worth it and I would stay here again and I recommend it HIGHLY

I must say we love this home!!! I must first start with the hosts! We arrived 7 hours early and asked for an early check in. The hosts responded quickly and stated we could check in immediately for a reasonable fee!!! We walked in and was wowed by the home😍 The home is very spacious and clean!!! The backyard is well maintained with lounge furniture and patio!! We spent some time out back catching up and enjoying the breeze. Great privacy!! This home is in pristine condition!!! Everything is modern and up to date!! The best feature is the beds!!! The mattresses felt like heaven!! Our host checked in and was very responsive to our needs. We most definitely recommend and will stay here again!!

Perfect place for a guy weekend. Nothing over the top but plenty of room to spread out and enjoy the country life.

This house was absolutely beautiful and right in the lake which was amazing! Huge living space which and great fishing dock. The house is on stilts so it shakes a little which took a bit of getting use to but 10/10 would go again.

I loved our stay for a work trip! It was nice to have a lovely brewery across the street in walking distance! Would definitively stay again!

Thanks so much! Donna was very communicative and helpful. The place was clean, easy to use, and she even left us a King Cake. A wonderful stay. The only issue (not her fault AT ALL) is the train. It's loud and didn't seem to have a set time coming through -- so something to consider if you have a baby or young kids.

Very nice house with a great view off the back porch,very homey feel and great communication with Christian, would very much so suggest.

Nice secluded location. Very reasonably priced and spacious. The host, Dustin, was very nice unto my family and me. He was also very accommodating to us. What Dustin did for my family while we were there has no words. Thanks can never be enough. If you choose Dustin’s house then know that you have an excellent host and you chose a good place to stay.

We were in town for my sister‘s wedding, which was held at the Henry Smith House. Dustin also owns that facility. What a gorgeous place! The staff were amazing and so helpful, kind and very polite. I have never experienced such professional, accommodating, and easy going people that run a wonderful venue. The Annex was right down the street and a wonderful place to stay. I highly recommend anyone that needs an event space to contact Dustin!
