A wonderful couple of days away in a beautiful part of the country. The cottage was perfect for a relaxing half term mini break, we especially enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub with a fantastic view of Robin Hood’s Bay. Steve was a great host and supplied us with everything we needed for a comfortable stay, from local recommendations to fire logs. Couldn’t recommend highly enough, thank you Steve!

I had a fantastic stay at this charming cottage! The setting was peaceful and perfect for a relaxing getaway. The highlight was definitely the hot tub—soaking under the stars was an unforgettable experience. The cottage itself was cozy, well-equipped, and spotless. The horses and chickens added to the feeling of a countryside retreat. I’d highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a tranquil getaway!

I booked this for my wife's 40th. the host was outstanding with there responses and efforts to make my wife's birthday special. they organised balloons/banners and flowers for when we arrived, and seafood from the local fishmonger for our evening meal. The cottage was extremely well equipped, the best I have seen yet and the cleanliness was to a very high slandered. I would highly recommend and look forward to coming back in the future.

If your like me, getting away to the countryside is bliss. This property was amazing. It was quiet, with a quirk of trains passing. It was amazing!!! I booked for a minimoon last minute and Jenny was so accomodating to this. We were over the moon. The hot tub was a bonus and didnt matter what time of day, it made everything so much more relaxing. We went out under the stars and due to no light polution, we were able to see all kinds in the sky. Just pure natural beauty. We have already recommended to friends and family and will defo be returning. Thank you Jenny x

We had a lovely 3 day stay at the lampost, we was greeted at the door with a warm and welcome host, that had set up a welcome basket with goodies and some special birthday gifts as a lovely touch. There was everything you could think or ask for whilst we was there, local shops, bars and restaurants with a short drive or bus journey away. The lampost was beautiful, peaceful and relaxing place that we would highly recommend! ***** 5 star Luxury

Amazing host who went above and beyond by decorating the place with happy birthday banners and balloons for my Mums stay for her 60th birthday. The place has so much character and is in such a perfect location

A completely exceptional stay, from start to finish! Communication from Gemma was swift, friendly and proactive. The cottage itself was nothing short of perfection; from the comfiest bed I’ve even slept in on a holiday, to the high end luxury finish of the kitchen and bathroom, to the added extra of a spotless hot tub. Everything one could possibly need for a lovely stay was thought of, as well as a very kind welcome champers! Thank you for such a special stay. I can’t recommend you highly enough!

I have just spent a long weekend here with friends. The cottage is just perfect for a couple or a small family with everything you need. Very clean and spacious. There was a nice little welcome hamper which was greatly appreciated, thank you Henry and Jane. Absolutely beautiful surroundings with many places to walk. Stunning views. There are also a few friendly local pubs but we didnt eat out so can't review those. The hot tub was very welcoming and used every evening. The only feedback I would give is to maybe add some lighting over the hot tub area for when it gets dusk. As you're in the countryside, there isn't any street lamps so it gets very dark at dusk. It only needs ambient lighting. That aside, absolutely no complaints at all from us. We love the relaxation as thats what we needed. I would highly recommend staying at Orchard Cottage. We hope to be returning one day.

Marvick Cottage was a peaceful, relaxing and perfect place to stay. We love Staithes and visit whenever we can, and this cottage matched our needs. While it was small, it had everything we needed, was warm, comfortable, and relaxing. The double bed was the comfiest mattress we have ever slept on. Highly recommended all round. Thank you, Keeley

We loved staying at Jackie and Izzy's cottage which was beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The cottage is ideally located for exploring North Yorkshire with easy access to York. A lovely stay - thank you!

We had a perfect weekend in Mark & Aaron’s place - it had everything we needed, was warm and cosy and the location in beautiful Robin Hood’s Bay is amazing.

Although we already live in the countryside I nevertheless thought it would be nice to treat my wife to a stay over in North Yorkshire, within a short drive of Filey, Scarborough, Whitby and Saltburn, places my wife's never visited before. A lovely little cottage comfortably accommodating a family of four and with some lovely eggs and fruit to welcome us, thank you, the weather was very kind to us and we accomplished pretty much most of our aims, not bad with the complication of a couple of dogs in tow. That said, they were very well behaved - there's plenty of grass out on the verge of the main road to walk them on until we get to the beaches, and the small garden is enclosed so you can leave the patio door open without fear of them running off! In short, a beautifully well presented and kept cottage, excellent communications from Angie and yes, we would be more than happy to come back here again! Thank you again!

We had a lovely few days stay at Rachael's place and it was the perfect spot for site-seeing around Yorkshire. The town had lots of amenities and places to eat which was handy. Would highly recommend staying here and we will be back in the future.

A stunning amd peaceful setting. A really comfortable and cosy cottage with easy access to all activities we wanted to do.

beautiful place, lovely host, we was welcome with little box of snacks for us, and doggie blankets and treats for the muttleys such a nice little touch. we had everything we needed for cooking big meals, we enjoyed the space inside aswell as outside, with a little shut off space for the dogs to be free very accommodating for all of us 😀

The location is very peaceful and the Stables is part of a very impressive complex of farm buildings. The cottage facilities are very good particularly the shower. The kitchen however could benefit from an extractor fan. The local pub the New Inn is a real find and is the brewery tap to the village brewery. However you will need to be fit to walk it as it lies up a long steep hill. Overall a very good venue.

We had a lovely few days here. The cottage was more spacious than it looks in the listing and had everything we needed for a few days. The cottage is on a busy road but parking wasn't an issue and we didn't find road noise a problem but if you have a dog that reacts to passing people/traffic it probably isnt the place for you. the garden is enclosed and nicely laid out. Aurora was a helpful and responsive host. There are good dog friendly options for eating out in walking distance. Great Ayton is a great base for exploring the local area there are lots of options for walking nearby as well as not being far from the coast.

Perfect holiday cottage! Had everything we could have ever needed and more! Very comfortable. Love the location as it’s only a short walk to the beach/ easy drive to other parts of the North Yorkshire coast. The public areas at The Bay are in need of some maintenance.

We stayed at Fairfax Cottage for Christmas and it was just perfect. We had a lovely time and enjoyed good walks. A great location for meeting up with friends and family in North Yorks.
