The place was just perfect for a short get-away from the city. Walkable to the beach. You can even see the ocean. Walkable to a good coffee shop, and restaurants. The kitchen has basics, so we could make breakfast. The family upstairs is definitely loud, and I don't think there's much insolation, because you can see the washing machine running, and people showering. Also when it's windy the whole house squeaks. But a couple of earplugs solved that, and the proximity to the beach more than makes up for it. The hosts are also very friendly and responsive!

Jeanette’s place is a beautiful escape by the water! Peaceful surroundings, right across from beautiful beach walk and trails to the woods a short walk away. The space itself is decorated like the perfect beach cottage, and cozy couches and a comfortable bed made for a relaxing evening and great nights sleep. Thank you Jeanette! I will be back!

Had an absolutely wonderful stay! Location is perfect and Jaime was incredibly friendly throughout!! He let me know that they had everything we would need.. but as a self-described obsessive packer I didnt listen. He wasn't kiding! They had beach chairs, umbrellas, and everything else you need for the perfect beach day. I brought an entire wagon of stuff and used one bag. It really is an awesome little find!!

Very welcoming! This place gives home away from home, and is located super close to the beach. The host is absolutely amazing, and accommodating. His communication skills are top tier! I recommend this place, and I will definitely book again if available.

This is a beautiful two bedroom apartment with a driveway directly across the street from the beach. It’s in a quiet part of the Rockaway Peninsula, a short walk or drive from a supermarket and a handful of restaurants and coffee shops. The nearby beach is popular with surfers.

Jamaica Cottage was exactly as described. We felt immediately at home. Location was gorgeous just steps from the beach and excellent food and drink a quick walk across the street. Even in winter it was peaceful and cosy! Would be a phenomenal summer stay. Kitchen and bathroom had everything we needed. Plenty of linens. Internet was fast and technology around the house all worked well. Lanna was incredibly welcoming and responsive to any minor issues that came up. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would go back anytime.

Lisa’s home is incredible! Beautiful, clean, organized, and a great place to stay for families or group gatherings. Lisa is proactive with communication and shared great recommendations. Best part- watching the sun rise over the water from the patio! And great coffee shops and restaurants walking distance from the home.

Spent the last week of the summer at this cute little cottage less than a block from the beach. The house is as described, looks like the pics, clean, stocked with amenities, and has a cute little outdoor deck area with a view of the water. Location is walkable to a few restaurants and creamery. Neighbors were so friendly; a really nice community. We really enjoyed our stay!

Very cute Airbnb and location. Clean and wholesome, spacious and nice sized space for a group of 6-8. We were worried about the one bathroom, but with coordination/communication it can work (plus the outdoor shower was a nice perk)! I appreciated the dish washer, full equipped kitchen and the beach chairs provided and table/chairs in the deck. The upstairs AC was also incredible! Downstairs AC unit was trying their best 🙏. Staff also provided a sweet personalized note and number to call if anything else was needed. Felt much at home. If queer/POC, just be mindful that Ocean Bay is not like other parts of Fire Island (Pines or the Grove). Be safe and don’t wander off alone.

Great place, exactly as advertised. Terrific location near ferry dock (making arrival/check-in extremely easy and fast, which was a relief after a long trip to get to Fire Island), near the little main hub of Cherry Grove… minutes or less to the general store, restaurants, bars. 5 minute walk to the beach. Although there is some bar noise at night, the unit is well sound-insulated. Hosts extremely friendly and communicative, full of info and recommendations. They take pride in their place and in being great hosts. Cozy place with very good value for Fire Island. The pool was a nice plus - salt water pool, lit at night. Met some of the other residents in the building who were extremely friendly and fun. Bed was very comfy. We slept in a lot. Wi-Fi worked perfectly. Nice desk in the bedroom for the few times work called. Roku TV. Lots of board games Bedroom has AC which worked great. Beach chairs and towels included. Coin laundry on site worked well. Great value. Would definitely return!

Great little getaway, only wish it could've been longer! My favorite part was having the outdoor deck with a place to sit and take an outdoor shower (plus the grill but we didn't use it). Would definitely stay here again!

the unit was perfect for my husband and myself and was in a very good location by the ferry and restaurants. It even had a rooftop deck to enjoy our wine time. We were close to the beach. We enjoyed walking to the different towns especially Ocean Beach which had shops and restaurants to explore. Anytime we had a question, we were able to contact someone to assist us as this is the first time we used an ABNB. We would definitely rent this unit again.

Nick's place is really special - clean, conveniently located and really well decorated as well. Nick himself was super responsive, proactive whenever anything came up and helpfu.l The family and I all had a fantastic time and it was as close as we could've imagined to being at our own house while visiting NYC.

If you are looking to explore New York for a few days or longer then Jay's place is great. Just a few minutes from the Long Beach station, Penn or Grand Central are about an hour away on a direct LIRR train. You will save $$$ by staying here compared with Manhattan. Long Beach is a safe, full of interesting shops. The 10km boardwalk is just a few minutes away. The apartment of character in a listed building full of charm. Loved the well stocked kitchen and would not hesitate to come back again.

The spacious condo was spotless and bright with high ceilings. Plenty of room to spread out. Communication with the host was fast, they were very accommodating. The unit was very quiet and comfortable, easy to sleep. The kitchen is well equipped. I hope this will be available next time I’m in the area!
