Dana's house is an absolute gem. It's spacious, new, clean & exceptionally well located. It's on the Placencia peninsula, but about 9 miles north of the main tourist town. It's in a very quiet location right on the water's edge, just outside the charming village of Seine Bight. The pool was delightful to relax in & you can walk right into the shallow sea to snorkel, paddleboard or swim. The kitchen had a lot of useful extras that we were invited to use. Dana was incredibly helpful with suggestions & contacts to make the most of our 8 day stay. The beds were all king size & very comfortable If you have 5 or more guests try to reserve the entire house. If you are just a couple looking for an idyllic getaway the downstairs is completely self contained. with an additional kitchen

Our family had a wonderful stay at the Tropical Villa! Steven was great to communicate with booking our stay, greeted us when we arrived, and was responsive during out stay. The Villa was more spacious than we realized and we loved everything about it-the sounds, trails, hummingbirds, natural pool, and hammocks at Pineapple Hill and eating the fresh fruit, chocolate, and banana bread from the welcome basket. It was a great central location to go cave tubing (Ian Anderson Cave's Branch), to the Mayan Ruins (full day round trip), and we took the most beautiful hike at Mayflower Bocawina National Park on our way to Hopkins/Placencia area (where we stayed for the rest of our trip). We ate dinner 2 nights in a row at the Toucan Cafe, which was close by-wonderful staff and food! The bugs did love a few of our family members and we learned quickly to be proactive applying Cactus Juice/Bug repellent lotion/spray. Greatly appreciate Steven's vision and opening his home to us!

We are a family of 5 and recently stayed at La Vida Belize. The house was clean and comfortable with everything we needed for our stay. The plunge pool, beach and dock were the perfect place to relax after a day of adventure. We enjoyed being in a quieter area and didn’t mind the distance from the main area of Placencia. We rented a car and explored several areas in Belize during our stay. We used the guestbook for tips about the area and places to eat near Maya Beach. The grounds keepers were friendly and kept everything nice for us during our stay. The host responded quickly to any questions we had. During our week stay, some of the activities we were able to do included: snorkling with Captain Jak’s, visit the Bocawina Nation Park & Zip-line Adventure, fishing, a Monkey River tour and visit some Mayan Ruins. We also spent a good amount of time relaxing and reading on the beach or by the pool. We recommend staying here.

We absolutely loved our stay here! It is even better than the photos. So private and spotlessly clean. The beach club and start of the Placencia boardwalk is about 0.4 miles walk across a not busy road and after having that separation, I wouldn’t want to be closer to it. We absolutely loved our pool and our snorkel tour guide was able to pick us up right outside our door in his boat! We had everything we needed, even the water is filtered and you can drink it right out of the tap. I would love to stay here again and Bonnie is an amazing host with lots of great recommendations and so easy to get ahold of for any questions. Thanks so much for sharing your space! I hope we can return again soon!

We had a great time in Placencia. The place was perfect for our needs - spacious, comfy, clean linens, and had all the amenities we needed. It was nice to walk to the resort and have access to the pool and restaurant. Vincent was responsive and checked in with us throughout our stay to make sure we had what we needed and to make recommendations. The house is a short drive to restaurants and grocery stores. Overall a great stay in Belize!

A true paradise! From the moment we arrived we were struck by the incredible beauty of this property - the architecture, location and genuine care and hospitality we experienced from the hosts. Thank you Cornel and Josie for making this home available to our family for a week in paradise!

The house was as advertised. Nice and spacious and plenty of towels, linens. Well stocked Kitchen and nice outdoor space upstairs and downstairs. Host was responsive and always quick to answer! The location was not directly in town where we thought it was but it is literally a mile or so from where we thought it was. Host is fixing the location on AirBnb. This is a very spacious home but it is separate floors only connecting from outside so great if you have adult couples but wouldn’t work well if you had smaller children. Overall, lovely stay in a beautiful home.

We really enjoyed our stay at Carrican Rentals, unit 2. It's a brand new construction with all the amenities needed. Beautiful space, great kitchen with real stone countertops, comfortable new mattresses and pillows, brand new a/c units throughout the house. Two full bathrooms. This is a whole house with lots of space. Everything is new and very clean. The beach is perfect, was raked and cleaned before we arrived. Vacant lots on both sides, one side is lush vegetation, so the lot you're on feels very private. We could walk two lots over to one of our favorite restaurants. This place is beachfront on the south end of the village, near the curve by GariMaya gift shop. The hosts were very responsive with the few questions we had. This place is exactly what is listed. We will highly recommend this place to friends and will definitely stay again.

Great property and excellent location!!!This property is located on the Peninsula of Placencia and located in the plantation area of Placencia. This area offers a wealth of culture and accessibility to places to eat ,waterfront beaches,and pick up and drop off to the many excursions in and around Beilze.We were surprised to find such modern accommodations close to this property as well. There is 1981 an upscale restaurant located at the Naia resort, there is Umaya another upscale restaurantand resort close by as well.For desert there is an upscale and modern little ice cream parlor called "Chillpoint" just next to Sein Bight about 10 minutes down the road and several other restaurants and local businesses.We felt at home in the Oceanside Cabanas and werevery pleased with the ambiance and privacy it offered.This place is a gem and the amenities are well thought out.All in all we would definitely rate this among one of the best AirBnb properties we have had the pleasure of recommending.

Our family of 4 enjoyed staying here during our first visit to Belize. The view and location are outstanding and the place felt very clean and well cared for. It’s the perfect spot to do various tours or nothing at all. Thanks for sharing it with us.

I cannot say enough how perfect this stay was. Great amenities, perfect distance from town for quiet and privacy, the beach is unbelievable, and the house is immaculate. Steven was so very helpful and responsive with the many questions I had and I'm very grateful for that, it really helped improve my stay and trip overall. The beds are very Firm and that is not for everyone, but also not uncommon for the area. We did not always have hot water but that zero bothered us since the weather is much hotter and more humid than we are used to...something to know, but it was not ever uncomfortably cold either. I cannot wait to return to Belize and would stay here again without hesitation, and want to bring my young child this time. Seriously cannot recommend staying at this house enough! This was the best place I’ve ever stayed at - from offering home cooked meals and helped with telling me where the pharmacy was. Just wonderful people!

Phil's place is a great location for exploring Belize without the tourists! Centrally located in the southern part of the country, it was within an hour of great little villages like Placencia, Dangriga and Hopkins, as well as the mountains and cayes for hiking, zip lining, snorkeling, caving...you name it. It's off the beaten path, nestled in a reserve so be prepared for driving on dirt roads to get there, but hey, it's Belize, so that's common and you'll get used to it. We drove from Belize City so didn't take up Phil's offer to rent his personal Jeep, but you'll definitely need an SUV (that's all rental companies provide anyway). It's a good place to stay if you are allergic to tourists and want a nice quiet, peaceful home with all the amenities....but close enough to drive in for dinner or drinks with expats or tourists if you get lonely. Phil's house was super clean, safe, beautiful, comfortable and well provisioned. We stayed with our two teenage boys who loved the pool and the beach club with access to the ocean, paddle boards and kayaks. We had it to ourselves most days! There is no cable TV (which we loved) but Phil's got the most amazing collection of movies (1,000+) so you won't be bored (movie night was every night!). Since it's a bit remote, you likely won't be going out to eat every day, so stop by a grocery store in any of the towns on the way in or the surprisingly well-stocked store on the community, including a case of Belikin beer in a returnable crate (THE beer of Belize).

I love this location; easy access to everything. Great distance to travel to Placencia or Belmopan, Hopkins and Belize City. The neighborhood is friendly and helpful. I will definitely select this location for all my future vacations in Belize. I experienced nothing in a negative manner and I am very pleased with the cost to stay 🙂 May Allah continue to bless Tobin in all his endeavors. I highly recommend this location if you want peace and tranquility in your stay!

I stayed in Trish and Joe's place for a short visit to Placencia and it was exactly what I was looking for - private and quiet location, easy check in/out, and a 5 min walk from my favorite restaurants. I enjoyed eating breakfast on the patio while watching boats and wildlife by the water!

This was our favorite house we stayed in in Belize. Solid, good ac. nice hot water, front balcony with lovely view and birds around! Christy and John were in ready communication. The house is only about a 22 min drive to Hopkins where there are many restaurants and snorkel trips available, and several national parks with hiking to waterfalls. Dangriga is a bit sketch, but we had good Garifuna food on the weekend at South Havana bar and grill.

Had a great stay, the place was very comfortable and peaceful. Our host was very friendly and helpful.

host was very polite and friendly, easy to work with would definitely go back to Maya Beach for vacation again.
