Great place! Loved the pedal boat option. Perhaps not so ideal if you have toddlers because the staircase does not have rails. Minor issue really and other than that we had a good stay.

This is such a lovely setup with a private cottage with beautiful views, access to a pool and amazing walks on the trail through the secure estate. It’s a paradise. We chose for our group of 6 to have breakfast at the lodge each morning and it was such a great start to our day. The staff are all so lovely. We will definitely be back!

When the title says « Bohemian », that’s definitely accurate. We came to Observatory to try out a different neighbourhood, and the apartment decoration is definitely not what we’re used to, but is a welcoming change from the bland Cape Town center tower apartments. Note that the building is shared with Elna, and the common entrance is not noise-isolated from the living room and kitchen, but that didn’t bother us too much. Elna has been a very nice host. Would recommend.

I loved staying here so much, it was very hard to leave and I can't wait to return! Thank you for this spectacular space to call home for a while!

Beautiful location - perfect for those who want to run the Stellenbosch Winelands marathon. Mother and I jumped in the hot tub immediately after the race. Stunning views and great amenities to make the stay so cosy and relaxing.

We were three couples from the same family and we all thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We had plenty of room and each had their own space - in truth this marvelous house could accommodate more people. The views, peaceful ambience, and sound of the sea are quite stunning with the Greenways Estate totally secure with lovely walking tracks. It was a short 15-20 minute drive to great vineyards with multiple superb dining options, plus some very good restaurants in Strand itself. The house itself had every amenity we could wish for - cooking and braii facilities, hot tub, DSTV and very good broadband. I would absolutely recommend it - a great property in a magnificent location. Madrie, the property manager was extremely helpful and very pleasant in every way.

Regina was a very nice host, was there to meet me and guide me. Big bath tub, great for kids. There's a grill and nice outdoor space with a trampoline. My dog also enjoyed the place, it's fully fenced. There was 2 friendly tortoises as well, which my daughter liked. Upon my request they also recommended a lovely maid. Thank you

A beautiful home in Observatory with a garden that feels like an oasis. We really enjoyed staying at Claudia's place. It is well equipped, calm and spacious. Observatory offers good food, cafes and more just a short walk down the street. Everything in close proximity.

Eine schöne, süße Unterkunft. Für uns als kleine Familie (mit einer 4-Jährigen Tochter) reichte das vollkommen aus. Der kleine „Erfrischungs-Pool“ war für uns perfekt. Wenn man richtig kochen möchte, erscheint uns die Küche und die Möglichkeiten recht klein - aber man kann zu Fuß oder mit dem Auto (2min) zu einem tollen Restaurant (Deux Lions) kommen, in dem es von Fr-So ein tolles Frühstück gibt. Und sowieso die anderen Restaurants in der Stadt sind großartig und nicht weit entfernt.

Nice house, which is located in a large garden. One of the major advantages: the house is located in between Stellenbosch and Franschhoek. It is the ideal place from where to reach interesting destinations. The sundown shown in the image is real. In the garden on top of the hill, Liebrecht set up a wooden "sundown"-terrace with deckchairs.

Zugegeben - die Fotos im Inserat sehen zu schön aus, um wahr zu sein, aber wenn man im dem Apartment ist, dann ist alles noch viel besser !!! Dieser unfassbar atemberaubende Blick auf den Tafelberg und die Bucht - man möchte die Wohnung eigentlich kaum wieder verlassen. Das wäre aber auch schade, denn der nahe Strand lädt zu ausgiebigen Spaziergängen ein und fussläufig sind verschiedenste Restaurant und Bars erreichbar. Das Apartment selbst ist funktional, schlau und schön eingerichtet. Alles ist sehr sauber. Die Qualität der Matratzen gewährleistet einen erholsamen Schlaf nach intensiven Urlaubstagen. Das Mietauto kann sicher auf dem Gelände geparkt werden. Kurzum: ich war vier Tage dort und hätte noch sehr gerne einige Tage drangehängt, aber leider war der Urlaub dann zu Ende. Was für ein grandioser Abschluss des Urlaubs! Vielen Dank, Liz !!!

I rented the house for my wife, two kids and some friends. We had a very great stay and a good time at the house. Everything was as expected and described by the owners. We had a very good communication with them before and during our stay. They are so lovely and helpful. Restaurants are close, also grocery store and a mall. The beach is just 7 minutes away by car and around 20-35min to downtown depending on traffic. Also once a week the house is cleaned with no extra charge. All together 5 Stars from us! Thank you very much.

We stayed at Mieke’s Cottage for two months with our family, including our two young children (ages 2 and 3), and it was absolutely amazing—we felt at home from day one. A huge thank you to Lozanne, who was always there for us and helped with everything we needed. The house itself has everything you could ask for. It looks exactly like the photos and is the perfect place for a family. The absolute highlight for our kids was the large garden, where they could run around all day. They especially loved the jungle gym, swimming pool, and, of course, all the animals. This truly made our holiday special. The location was perfect—quiet and safe—yet within half an hour, you can reach most of Cape Town and the Winelands. This has been the best accommodation we’ve ever stayed in as a family, and I’m sure we’ll be back one day!

We had a great stay at Jay & Phil’s. Very conveniently located. Jay & Phil are wonderful hosts. I’d most definitely recommend the stay!

Tanya was thee absolute best ,a perfect host ,very helpful aswell as her helper ,the place was easy to find and I must say the pictures don’t do it any justice it’s a beautiful place clean and the kitchen has everything we needed for our stay ,the pool kept the kids busy as it was so hot ,she even gave us an extra day 🌸I must say she was one of the kindest individuals that have ever hosted me ,I appreciate all she did for myself and my family ..

This is a very convenient place and is walkable (20 mins) to shops and restaurants. This place offers good value and with a kitchen including basics and utensils which works well if you like to self cater as well as eat out. The host is responsive and helpful. We enjoyed our time here.

Claudia ist eine super liebe Gastgeberin und hat eine zauberhaft schöne Unterkunft. Von dort ist es nicht weit ans Meer. Die Unterkunft bietet viele Möglichkeiten, die warmen Temperaturen gut auszuhalten und sich wohl zufühlen. Danke für den tollen Aufenthalt! Ich würde wieder kommen :)

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Tugela. The location is excellent when visiting Franschhoek and the area, and the house itself is beautifully furnished and had all the amenities one would need. We loved the surroundings, garden and pool area, which were amazing, and provided the perfect relaxing environment. It was also a pleasure to meet Julie and she made us feel quite special - very kind and thoughtful. We would definitely stay here again and can highly recommend.

The house is beautiful and perfectly located; every room was lovely with its own bathroom and great view which was great for a big group. Doug was an attentive and thoughtful host. Honestly our stay was faultless.

Felt like stepping into an episode of MTV Cribs — but with better wine and even better views. The place was spotless, stylish, and honestly even more impressive in person than in the photos. Yolanda was a dream host — proactive, flexible, and super easy to communicate with. She made check-in smooth and gave us space to fully relax and enjoy. We had to cut our stay a little shorter than expected due to other plans, but we easily could’ve stayed a few more days just soaking it all in. Highly recommend — this one’s a gem.

The setting is tranquil, with attention to detail that makes the space feel welcoming and comfortable. Jane is a gracious and responsive host, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable stay. Rafa, her friendly golden retriever, is a delightful presence, adding to the charm of the place. We had a restful time and would happily return when in the area.
