Beautiful house, clean and well-equipped, and in a quiet location. I really enjoyed my time there and would love to come back.

This is a real gem of a place situated in the most beautiful surroundings . Fantastic walking straight from your door, bird song galore and so much more . Trish is a wonderful host , very welcoming and nothing seemed too much trouble . We were greeted with delicious homemade cake , fresh flowers and a basket of treats . I would highly recommend Trish's beautiful home and really hope to be back again one day so much more to explore . Thank you Trish for a wonderful time . Emma

Beautiful comfortable place , we felt at home clean spacious and lovely surroundings. We really enjoyed our stay. Kendra was really helpful in recommending places to eat and visit. This is a good place to stay for groups of 3 or 4, travelling by car and planning to visit both the city and the beautiful countryside of Durham County. We went both to both up Weardale to the foothills of the Pennines and to the coast at Seaham on our day trip. This row-house cottage is nice, comfortable with an efficient central heating system. The kitchen/dining room is well equipped. Anthony left us both cows and Oat milk, which was nice. The only downside is that the the tiled floors are cold, if you don't have thick socks or slippers/indoor shoes with thicker soles than the hotel slip-ons that the hosts provide. Also the local pub is a bit further away than we'd assumed and is under new management and no longer serving food. However, Anthony told us about two alternate pubs offering evening meals. The most impressive was The New Board Inn at Hill Top (DH7-(9RL), which has a great Sunday evening quiz.

Had a great few days House was in perfect location with lots of amenities around. The house was warm cozy & had everything we needed. Would definitely stay again xx

Booked for a long weekend visiting Friends in the North. We've stayed in dozens of holiday cottages over the years; Hunnypot had the best equipped kitchen of any of them. It was spotlessly clean, warm and looked newly decorated. The only setback was that the road outside the house is narrow, as it makes clear in the specs; if you have a larger car you may not be able to get it through the lane let along park it there. Our rented Mazda CX-5 (7' wide including the wing mirrors) wouldn't fit and I had to reverse it back down the lane. This isn't really a problem as there's plenty of space near the pub on the wider (and still quiet) West Road a two-minute walk away, just be prepared and if you have a large vehicle don't be like me, don't try to get it through in the first place. The village pub is down-to-earth and friendly and the delights of Richmond only a few minutes drive. Beamish Living Museum was a great place to visit and well worth the forty-minute drive. We'd stay here again.

Samantha was a massive help in responding so quickly to our booking request! After our original accommodation with another provider got cancel on the check in day, Samantha saved the day. The accommodation was more than big enough for our group of 10 and had everything we needed. There was a coop shop just a quick walk away which was perfect for picking up some groceries. We had a great stay! Thank you!

A lovely caravan very close to the sea. It was beautifully maintained. The kitchen was excellent. A slow cooker and an air fryer+ a full gas cooker and microwave. I was spoiled for choice!! The price was excellent. I would not hesitate to recommend this lovely caravan to anyone. Thanks Lynn. A very friendly and helpful host.

We had a great stay, in a clean, spacious, up to date caravan, was very quiet, as the caravan site isn't open till the middle of March. That was not a problem we made our own entertainment with the cards and games provided, I would stay there again and would recommend it to my family and friends. we have used Air BnB several times and have never had a bad encounter, Lisa kept me updated and was prompt in replying to messages I sent. Thank you from my family and myself.

Lovely caravan - easy check-in with lockbox, and parking space next to caravan. Lots of extra thoughtful touches inside that made it feel very home-from-home (board games, DVDs, even a jar of biscuits!), extra blankets, lovingly decorated, and the essentials were there too so we could get comfortable straight away (I’ve stayed in some places where there wasn’t even one toilet roll, hand soap, or washing up liquid!) The location was nice, The view out of the lounge window of the sea was lovely, and it’s a short walk to the beach. The site shop etc obviously wasn’t open as it’s out of season, but local shops are a short drive away. Two toilets is a lifesaver with children. The two doors into the main bathroom from the hall and the master bedroom gave us a giggle as I thought it was a cupboard - remember to lock both doors if using the main toilet haha! But space-wise, it is a clever idea. Midday checkout was really useful too, less rush! Would definitely stay again, thanks for having us!

Caravan was immaculate and very homely loved the added touches. The Seaview was a bonus as the children loved it. Our family enjoyed our Christmas in the caravan was a lovely experience. Would definately recommend to others. Great host 5*.

We stayed at the Lodge for 4 weeks due to a delayed house completion. The location is amazing in every respect. The lodge is more spacious than the pictures suggest - walk in wardrobes amazing for our extended stay. Well equipped, very efficient heating and hot water Long local beach walks with the cafe (great ice cream), literally 15m away. We did not use the entertainment complex but it always looked busy Thoroughly recommended

Very clean and tidy residency and beautiful views on a clear day. Had an initial issue with the BBQ not being available on check-in but was resolved later in the evening. Nice location if you want a peaceful environment, surrounding yourself in the countryside.

Fabulous old farm buildings set inBeautiful picturesque setting, looking out on the Moores and farmland. There were cows when we looked out of the window and chickens clucking around the yard. But really private as well. There are walks from the cottage across the farmland, when the weather is nice and the log burner stove making it really warm and cosy in the evening when it feels a bit chilly. The cottage had everything that you need for your stay, and was immaculate. The main bedroom has a traditional bed frame, which we thought may be a bit creaky, we needn’t have worried- the bed was very sturdy, comfortable and didn’t squeak at all. Really handy having a sink in the bedroom too. Loved all the farm implements that were around. Loved the oil lamps converted to electricity. Would love to know more about the farm’s history. Beautiful place in peaceful location. Spotlessly clean - looked like everything was new. Very comfortable furniture and bed and plenty of hot water and pressure in the shower. We didn't cook but there was everything provided if we had wanted to. A totally relaxing location we would love to return to.

Beautiful home with everything you need and spotless. Instructions from John were very clear and he was extremely helpful when we were booking, especially the restaurant recommendations which we followed and we were not disappointed (Cookfellas restaurant and Brickyard Bakery). Great stay wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.

Absolutely perfect little get away in a lovely area. My girlfriend really liked it and wants to go again. Very cosy and private place with a little garden for the dogs. Beautiful surroundings will 100% be booking again. Very responsive host even though we got there late. Thanks again

We stayed here for a few days and it was really good. Great accommodation and beautifully presented. Fab location in a busy town with lots of pubs and eating places. Fantastic for walking on the nearby North Yorkshire Moors. We will definitely visit again in the future.

Me and my partner had a wonderful stay at Pete’s cabin. It was lovely and peaceful. The hot tub was amazing. Pete was always on hand to help re heat the hot tub. The fresh eggs from the hens were a great addition and were very tasty! Overall it was an amazing stay and would highly recommend Pete’s cabin to anyone wanting a lovely peaceful get away!

Ideal base for a few nights away, lovely location and beautiful little cottage. Had all the amenities you could possibly need, with a few extra touches by Penny which were well received so thank you. Would definitely recommend 🙂

outstanding location, super comfy, spotlessly clean accommodation and a wonderful host, it was perfect for our week long gateway in the North. The pictures don't justify the true beauty of the place. I would highly recommend Simon's place to explore the Moors and beyond.
