Fantastic property. Very calm and tranquil. We didn't want to leave! Jo was very friendly and helpful. Everything was even better than described. Can't wait to go back again.

We had a wonderful few days at Katy's house. Spotlessly clean and set in the most beautiful, tranquil surroundings. Katy and her family were friendly but never intrusive. Underfloor heating and log burner were perfect after a cold swim and the hot tub is wonderful. Nothing not to recommend in this place and hope to return again.

An amazing stay in a 15 th century renovated cottage. Flagstone flooring in kitchen with dining area for 6 people. 2 sofa comfortable lounge with doors to outdoor area with climbing frame and seating. Large double main bedroom with new shower room and third bedroom. Attic double bedroom with wall screen and overhead projector. All very clean and cosy! Parking for two cars directly outside front door leading onto road. Great local shop combined cafe along with local pub and two restaurants. Good instruction manual with local walks and beaches detailed. Fully stocked kitchen with double oven, microwave and air fryer full set of kitchen tableware. A double travel for . We had a party of four adults and twin babies and more than comfortable for all of us . Would we stay again? Yes definitely. Recommend? Yes definitely .

We had a wonderful time at our stay. The house was very comfortable and clean. The house is located on high level- so not very suitable for wheel chair users or people with walking problems. The bedrooms both had en suits which both were lovely (both upstairs with no downstairs toilet). The kitchen was well equipped. The location was also very good with places to visit - a car is needed. There is a good size private outside patio to use with good quality garden furniture. With an additional grass section in front -children to play The big bonus was the access to the swimming pool . steam room , sauna & jacuzzi throughout your stay.The whole family really enjoyed it- you need to bring your own towels as they do not supply the towels unless you are staying in the golf club hotel. The Golf club has a bar and Resturant to get food and drink. The golf course was especially good. Very well maintained with beautiful views. Not expensive to hire and play. We would love to return.

Great hosts! Little Idle has a lovely energy. The decor is tasteful and homely but not cluttered. It is very light and spacious, a great use of space with lots of windows and doors. The bed is extremely comfortable. It's very peaceful at night so you are guaranteed a good nights sleep. There is ample storage for your things. Really effective under floor heating and wood burner. The shower has great pressure and the bath is comfortable. The kitchen is very well equipped and I loved the selection of teas available. There are some fun games and great literature provided. The internet was down but this wasn't a problem as there was good signal with 3 network. The hot tub was positioned in a perfect spot over looking the valley, it was really special. There is no light pollution so on a clear night you can see the milky way. Take a torch/lamp if planning to use the after sunset under the stars. Would LOVE to return again, I am feeling very relaxed after my stay, thank you!

Beautiful cottage with cosy but striking decor, really comfortable and cosy. Perfect for the six of us. Kitchen had everything we needed to prep a roast and the garden was small but perfectly formed. The local pub was a stones throw through a pretty village, with a really delicious menu. Only downside was no local shop for a pint of milk, loaf or emergency crisps. But I guess that may be tricky to sustain in second home areas. All in all a really comfortable cottage - thank you x

Lovely stay in peaceful surroundings. Beautiful view from the hot tub/ garden with sheep for neighbours! Kitchen best equipped we’ve ever stayed in with free range eggs provided and well stocked essentials. Comfy bed, warm cottage and would love to stay again. Claire is very responsive and friendly. Highly recommend

We booked here for Christmas 2024 and had the most magical time. Everything we wanted and more. The cottage was stunning, clean, spacious and cosy. The hosts Andy and Rosie were super helpful and ensured we were happy and settled, before giving us our time as a family to enjoy christmas. anything that could have been a potential issue was pre tempted and covered in their communication (example: finding the cottage). We used the converted loft/attic for our 6 year old twins and they loved it, like a den for them. The cottage amenities included a torch in every room which was a great touch for our little ones finding us in the night or if they needed to use the bathroom in the night. The stairs to the attic are steep so aren't suitable for anyone with difficulty walking or climbing. The garden / driveway offers ample space and our daxies enjoyed the new smells and space. Underfloor heating was a really nice treat and the log burner was beautiful 😍 Overall a Wonderful Stay!

We've just got back from our stay at Zoe & David's cottage. we would highly recommend as the cottage was beautiful. Everything was spotless, really comfortable beds, just a real home from home. Zoe was soooo helpful from the minute we booked. The location is absolutely stunning with lots of costal walks on your doorstep. The beach is near enough at the end of the cottage path. Really lovely. Will definitely recommend, and hopefully be back again one day ☺️

Delightful little cottage and extremely well stocked with EVERYTHING! Gill has thought of everything (including a champagne ice bucket!). Highly recommend both the cottage and host.

Spotlessly clean hideaway. So peaceful yet minutes walk from the centre of Dawlish. Completely safe walled garden for the dogs. Train station 5min away, great coastal scenery in all directions. Nice walk to Dawlish Warren and plenty of places to eat and drink. 3 generations and suited us all. Would highly recommend.

Hall House was a lovely base for us with lots of beautiful walks nearby. We enjoyed the space to spread out in the house and the wonderful garden.

Lovely cottage. I think steep & narrow lane up needs to be in description. My Mazda Bongo was fine, so most vehicles should be. parking was easy. Quooker tap did not work but it didn't bother us, so I didn't contact Laura. Boiled kettle for hot water in sink if needed. Comfortable beds. Despite a pub nearby, we heard nothing. A few bangs from next door when doors slammed, but other than that it was lovely & peaceful. Instructions for oven etc were in basket drawer under TV. Didn't find them until 2nd day but I'd worked out how to use everything by then. We would definitely stay again if we needed somewhere close to Plympton. Laura answered queries VERY quickly.

Right from the get go Kelly was friendly and extremely helpful .. she changed the check in and out times , which were so helpful for us with our 2 year old grandson .. Artie loved the toys that were under the stairs it was all of these wonderful extras that made it homely .. about a 2 minute walk to the beach which was perfect as we were up and down a lot ! Lovely walks nearby and pub recommendations from Kelly .. we had a lovely time and would definitely recommend Kelly and her home

Thoroughly enjoyed the stay. The location is in the heart of the harbour. Annie & Andrew were excellent hosts. And we pre-booked a couple of their suggestions for a meal. ‘Le Petit Maison’ and ‘Rockfish’. Both very good, ate at Rockfish twice! And brought some fish from the Rockfish Market home. It was a very nice stay. Many thanks

Loved our weekend away. The house had everything we needed and the bed were very comfortable. There was even a high chair for our daughter which was incredibly helpful. The home was absolutely spotless on arrival. Be warned, it is a very hilly area to walk to and from the property, which is harder with a toddler in a pushchair!

Hannah and Ivor really helpful and friendly. Lovely setting. Children loved being able to forage and see the wildlife. Perfect. Peaceful.

Communication with Mark was great. The house is really lovely, as described, and the oak extension is great. It is tastefully decorated and comfortable. We enjoyed our stay and our 3 year old grandchild slept well in the peace and quiet. Thank you Mark.... we definitely would like to return.

In one word, heavenly. A Family or small group trip to explore anywhere around Devon, this is definitely a place for you —at a good bargain as well. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this property. Modern house with state of the art facilities, wash rooms were great, large island kitchen with a befitting diner stood out for us. All beds and beddings were so so comfortable. Simply felt like home. Hosts Robert and Jane were great with communication so we didn’t need to call the host at any point as everything was as described. They also recommended places around, some of which were 100% for us. We would recommend a trip to Salcombe obviously as it’s a 20+ mins drive, explore the beautiful town, trip to north & south sands via the ferry and enjoy the lovely oceanic view. Highly recommend a visit to Crab Shell inn in Kingsbridge, don’t miss a trip to Torquay Marina, about 40mins drive from Goveton. Need to add that the roads to the village are narrow but in all, great experience!

We've stayed with Julie last yeat and we were as happy this time as we were the first. Lovely and friendly and showed me the other accommodations she has which were beautiful and very well thought out with everything you could possibly need. We will definitely be going again. I cannot fault this accommodation at all.

Perfect cottage for a peaceful getaway. Beautifully styled and comfortable with nice touches and a well-stocked kitchen. Heating works really well. Clare is a fab host! Easy to find, we pulled up outside to drop off bags before parking on a street in the village. Nice pub at the bottom of the road.

Two of us have just returned from a six night stay at Garden Cottage. There was a welcome tray when we arrived which was welcome. The house and garden were peaceful and the gardens were beautiful even in March. You can walk down to North Beach in about 15 minutes and have a lovely cream tea in the Winking Pawn restaurant. You can walk down to Salcombe but it is a steep walk back uphill. Victoria answered our queries straight away. The cottage is a home from home, well equipped kitchen and lovely hot water in the shower. There are lots of National Trust houses to visit within drivable distance. Overbeck’s Garden is one you should not miss. I would definitely recommend a stay here.

Our second visit to Plum Tree Cottage. Amazing cottage with everything you could need. Spotlessly clean and tidy each time. The view over the bay is beautiful. A quiet place to spend a few nights away. I would highly recommend the cottage for a wonderful stay and Catherine is a fantastic host.
