This was a quick getaway that met all of our expectations! It was very clean, simple yet has everything needed! I wish the weather was better to be able to enjoy sitting around the private fireplace. I found a nice hidden “gem” under the TV that was the highlight of my weekend! (Not sure if I was supposed to touch it since I didn’t see it listed about the property🙊) But that was my favorite thing about this house! It was the same record player that my parents had at home growing up! And it works! 🎶 I’ll be sure to bring vinyl next time! 😁

The hosts are very responsive. What a great place to spend time with family, no Wi-Fi or TV to distract the teenagers ;)

Very peaceful, inside and outside the house. Comfortable beds. Very clean. The pictures don't do it justice. Listen to the owners when they say the river is not accessible from the house. It looks beautiful, especially from the glassed-in-porch. It moves fast, though, around the bend of the neighborhood, and there are trees and things just under the surface. Beautiful to look at, not safe to be in. That said, I would have felt perfectly comfortable letting my kids run around the back yard when they were little because there is a barrier of overgrowth between the yard and the river. We had a lovely Christmas getaway with my mom, husband, kids, and future daughter-in-law. The house was decorated. It felt so homey. The heat/air worked great. We made good use of the space heaters on the porch and beside the windows. I would 100% stay here again.

Our Family LOVED this place so much! We will definitely be back! Everything looks just like the pictures! Everything was so clean. It had everything we needed like the dishes, linens, all utensils you could think of. The furniture was nice and comfortable! The Bedrooms were huge and plenty of room to move around! We loved the open concept it was just perfect. The only thing I would like to see add is a dock! The River for some elderly or physical disabilities was not accessible. Overall, this place is amazing!

Amazing stay. For the night we stayed the price was more than perfect. It’s a beautiful location and Freda was very promt to answer any question. I would definitely come back again next year!!

I was in Mountain View to work with a local Blacksmith for a project I am working on and James place was perfectly located within walking distance to the main square but not too close to hear any noise at night. The place was really clean and the place far exceeded my expectations! The kitchen set up and appliances seemed brand new including the large Samsung TV. The comfy sofa and thick throw allowed me to melt while watching Netflix. The beds were really perfect, not too hard with just the perfect amount of support. I plan on coming back and when I do, I will be staying at the lil blue Cottage ! Thanks James for a wonderful stay !
