Doreen was very helpful and kind with information in advance. We booked two flats of hers in the same place, this was very convenient and also good for accommodation when just off the ferry.

This is a fabulous place, and once we found it, we enjoyed every minute. The staff is helpful and made us feel welcome. The rooms are large, and staying in a castle is pretty special. My only complaint is that the description of where the unit is located is very misleading. We were told the apartment is "ON the Lews Castle grounds", which are over 600 acres. For travelers like us, completely unfamiliar with the castle, that's very confusing, and an accurate description would be more helpful and enticing. The unit is IN Lews Castle. And it's great!

As a hugely experienced (50 +) user of Airbnb all over the UK, this is one of the best, and certainly the best I have stayed in on the Island. Top drawer, high quality accommodation in super central location.

Absolutely ideal base for exploring Isle of Lewis (Harris also, if you don't mind an hour of scenic drive to get there). With parking, right outside of the main door, getting things in and out was super easy, which added to convenience. Super clean flat, feels freshly refurbished with all modern fittings, but also stylish. All of key utensils are in place too. So a nice, homely environment to relax in. Big supermarket (Tesco) is 5 min walk away. Just be mindful that most places close early on a Sunday, so if arriving on Sunday evening ferry, so make sure you have dinner en route or bring food with you. I didn't, but a local Chinese takeaway (10mins walk) saved the day! : ) Elizabete was super responsive and accommodating. Thank you. Certainly would be booking in here when coming back Stornoway next time.

This is a lovely spot to visit, with everything you could need for a short stay and quiet and private. The apartment is a short walk out of town, but close to the restaurants and shops of Stornaway or the supermarkets to pick up items for travel around the island. The master bedroom is large, warm and welcoming and the rest of the apartment feels like a home away from home - I would recommend staying if you are looking for a nice place away from the commercial hotels :)

We stayed 4 nights during HebCelt. The apartment is in a perfect location with everything in walking distance. There is ample parking available and everything that you could possibly wish for in the apartment. Everything was extremely clear, WiFi was fast. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay again!

Gillian is an excellent host. Was within walking distance to local amenities. This is 2nd time we have stayed here and will definitely go back. Gillian timed our arrival and departure for ferry times, house was spotless and everything there that was requires.

Fiona's house Is Amazing. High levels furniture, finishing and appliances. Professionally clean. It was out perfect base To Explore the Island. Hope To come back in the future To spend more time.

Great place in a great location, just a 10-minute walk into Stornoway with the big Co-op just around the corner. The place was very clean, tidy, and comfortable. A real home from home! I highly recommend this little gem!

We had a lovely stay at Janet’s air bnb. Great location. It was very clean and cosy. Janet was a great host and very supportive when our ferry was cancelled! We would definitely stay again/recommend to friends ☺️

Everything as described on the listing. Very easy to find and Mary sent clear instructions. Kitchen fully stocked with everything you could need The beds were comfy and the shower good. No problems and very good value for the area. It’s August but being the Hebrides the log burner was lit on the last night and was lovely to sit in front of before bed

This was our first trip to the Outer Hebrides. The cottage is in a great location to visit both Lewis and Harris. We were warmly welcomed by our host. The beds were very comfortable and the two ensuite bathroom arrangement was perfect for our two couple party. The cottage is well equipped with everything you need to cook, rest and relax. The weather was wet and windy when we arrived so we really appreciated arriving to a warm cottage.

Nice cottage, completely private. Works well for a small family. Stayed as a couple for three nights and it was a treat. Richard was very helpful with everything we needed during the stay. We'll kept and comfy home. 2 Minutes from the ferry!

This house is an exceptional place to stay. It has everything taken into account for a relaxing comfortable break. The host has excellent communication skills and also has local help in case there are any problems. As a base for exploring the beauty of Lewis is cannot be beaten. A home steeped in family history and a break for us which has set us on a new path with a move to the island now planned. Graham and Karen.

What an amazing place to come and stay! Not sure where to begin with the praise for this place. Hosts were amazing, everyone we met was outstanding and the landscape speaks for itself. We had some strong winds and rain during our stay and in some way that added to our experiences on this trip! 100% recommend.

Even with chilly and inclement weather, Lewis is absolutely gorgeous and has beautiful ancient sites and beaches. We had the pleasure of staying at Marie's place while on a van tour. It was very clean and we were able to use the washer for our clothes. A very comfortable bed and a nice shower. Marie was very communicative and I appreciated that. A nice snack basket was provided including some eggs and crumpets which were a breakfast lifesaver, and the nearby local co-op grocers was great. Felt very homey, and the fireplace was a great comfort. Overall would recommend staying here for a trip to Storonway!

Scott is a lovely host. The description of the Airbnb is accurate and therefore I would recommend it to anyone, who would like to travel to Stornoway.
