Had the best stay at Denise’s lodge. Denise was very helpful and responsive with any questions I had. The hot tub was amazing, the area in which the lodge is based is very private. We were even welcomed with some gifts she had left for us and provided plenty of snacks which was just above and beyond what we expected. She even put a birthday banner up as it was my birthday just to make it feel that more special. The lodge book was very helpful providing us information about local shops, restaurants/takeaways and things to do around the area. Overall was a very positive stay with a brilliant host. Brilliant stay! Ivan's place was spotless, peaceful and the perfect place to explore the Forest of Dean. As a family of 5 with 3 energenic boys this was just perfect! Ivan supplied plenty of wood for our stay and was extremely helpful with storing our bikes and helping with queries about the local area! Would highly recommend and we will be returning for sure!

Beautiful lodge, clean , warm and welcoming . We had a lovely time walking in the forest and relaxing in the hottub stargazing during the evenings. Would thoroughly recommend Tree Tops Lodge for a few days relaxation away from it all. Thankyou Kelly

Just arrived home after a wonderful stay at this little lodge. Exactly as described in the listing/photos, and Tracey had even set out some little Christmas decorations to make it feel more festive and homely (as we were there for Christmas). The new park facilities (soft play & swimming pool) are FANTASTIC for kids, we were there with our 18 month old and he loved it, but there was loads for older children too. The shop on the site isn’t open between November & February but there’s a co-op a mile away, and we didn’t eat at the restaurant onsite because we went out to some nice local pubs, but it looked nice enough. The lodge is in a really nice position not really overlooked by anyone else, and felt very spacious & homely (with proper central heating too). The hot tub was also a winner! The kitchen is fully equipped and the TV has ALL the apps plus regular freeview TV channels too (I read an earlier review that said no normal TV but this must have been updated!).

We had a lovely stay here, the cabin over looked the lake which made it so relaxing! They also had two cheeky donkeys on the fields surrounding which we got to stay hello to.

We had a wonderful stay at The Nook and wished we’d booked an extra day! The secure garden was perfect for our dog, allowing me to fully relax in the outdoor tub. Check out flexibility was much appreciated. A fantastic trip - we’d love to return!

It was the perfect spot for what we wanted. A nice relaxing trip away, we were only a short driver from both Bath and Bristol so the location made it so easy to see 2 beautiful cities, before coming back to the peaceful privacy of our cabin

We had a wonderful time celebrating my wife’s Birthday at Duncan and Jackie’s beautiful cabin. The cabin was an ideal size for the two of us and our dog! Situated on their small farm with plenty of space for the dog to run around carefree and enjoy herself, it was ideal for us all. We loved how cozy and homely the cabin felt and its location was so peaceful, the log burner was a lovely touch too, perfect for the chilly evenings this time of year. Also a thoughtful birthday treat from Duncan and Jackie, a tasty cake and birthday card gave a fabulously personal touch to the visit. It was never too much trouble for them to provide plenty of recommendations for local places to visit, for food or must see locations. We particularly enjoyed our meal at their local pub The Bathurst Arms upon Duncan’s suggestion. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our visit at The Summerhouse Cottage and would definitely return again when in the Cotswolds.

A compact cabin in a perfect location, with lovely surroundings, good for dogs and all that you need for your stay.

My husband and I stayed for two nights with our German Shepherd, Luna. The booking information is excellent and the instructions for check in are clear and helpful. As soon as we were in, we all felt right at home and Amelia had left some lovely touches such as a personal note, putting the heating on, etc. The accommodation is compact, beautiful and comfy - exactly what we were looking for. The bathroom is great with a nice shower and sensor lighting for in the evenings. We didn’t get to use the hot tub due to poor weather but it just means we’ll have to go back. The steps could be a little tricky but there’s a security light that comes on as soon as you open the gate which is another thoughtful addition. Both the front area and the courtyard, at the back of the cabin, are enclosed so it’s great if you’re bringing your dog. Amelia is the perfect host and was helpful and responsive throughout our stay. We would highly recommend Sham Castle Cabin.

This is such a wonderful quiet place, the accommodation is brilliant with the pods over looking a valley vacated by sheep, goats, highland cows and alpaca. The surroundings offer loads of walks and you are so close to all the highlights the Cotswolds has to offer. The staff are very friendly and assist when / if needed.

If you like walking and adventuring then there is so much to do here. If you like peace and quiet and recharge it absolutely offers this as well. We wanted more time here so intend to return in the future. The cabin was comfortable, with great views and not over cluttered which helped make it peaceful. The walks to town are very easy and in the evening after a meal a great way to get home with a head torch. I cannot recommend this place enough. Our dog was super happy.

Lavender lodge was the perfect getaway for a quiet NYE. My partner and I thoroughly enjoyed its surroundings and amenities. It was easy to access with additional directions from Alison prior to arrival. Thank you Alison.

Had a lovely stay here with friends and a total of 3 dogs. Cabin was beautiful with great amenities and views around, was a little closer to neighbours than we thought but this wasn't an issue for us. It was really helpful having the garden space leading onto a larger enclosed field for letting our dogs play and run around, plus could see other dogs being trained around the area which was really sweet! Would stay again, thank you Clare :)

We stayed at Sarah’s amazing log cabin for a few nights for my partners birthday. Firstly, I have to say the location is incredibly remote and very picturesque, it’s exactly what we wanted to escape from the city! Sarah was very responsive and helped whenever we needed anything outside of what I would consider core hours! The pictures don’t do the cabin and area justice and we are already thinking of when we can come back in spring/autumn!

This place is incredible, with so much attention to detail, everything we needed. Maureen was really friendly, responsive and helpful. A beautiful spot and a beautiful home. Only slight thing was that we couldn’t spot any recycling bins, however we should have asked about this upon arrival but left it too late as we were leaving so completely our fault, but may be worth sussing this out when you stay. Overall just wonderful, can’t recommend enough!

What a beautiful, serene cabin to match the stunning views! Hotub under the stars at night was fantastic, the horse in the field next to the cabin was a welcome visitor every morning, safe enclosed space for the little dog to run around whilst we were in the hotub and garden. Great recommendation to walk to yew tree inn for pizzas via the farm and lake. Lovely walks through the farmland with the dog, super peaceful. Lamb shank was spectacular at the white lion. Honestly cannot thank Alastair enough, great host very friendly and communicative. Wish I could give 6 stars will be coming back!

Lazy Dayz Lodge is a little gem, it’s very comfortable and cozy with everything you could need for a happy stay, even everything my dogs could need! Spotlessly clean and had everything it said in the description. Very private and peaceful setting on the site. Debbie has thought of everything for her guests, even fresh milk on arrival. Lots to do and see in the surrounding area, well worth a stay here, you won’t be disappointed, we had a lovely stay, real home from home.

My daughter stayed here as we were attending a wedding locally and she thoroughly enjoyed it. Perfect setting to start December and the lodge was warm, cosy and very clean. Hosts were very welcoming as were the reindeer. Thoughtful gifts of mugs and wine. Hoping we can book again soon.

We enjoyed a lovely stay in the Willow Pod. Everything was immaculate with excellent attention to detail and the surroundings were beautiful and peaceful. The host was friendly and responsive. Definitely recommend.

Fantastic cabin in a private area, peaceful and quiet. Went for walks around the lake, chilled in the cabin (super comfortable) and explored local sights (need a car for sure). Can't really walk to anywhere out of the site, or at least it's not obvious but if you have a car no problem. Would definitely come back here again!
