It's a fascinating accommodation where the hosts most likely stay themselves. I have never seen such a well-stocked pantry in any Airbnb. The rooms are beautifully laid out. We did not get a chance to use the hot tub as we were too busy with our trip sightseeing, but seeing the northern lights from the backyard was compensation enough. There are a bunch of nice restaurants in the neighborhood. Overall, I can't think of anything that may need to be improved. Amazing stay!!

We had a wonderful stay! Hjortur's Airbnb was one of the most beautiful Airbnb's I have ever stayed at. We originally had a hotel booked and decided last minute to cancel and book this lovely home so we would be more comfortable and be able to prepare our own meals. Bonus was right around the corner which was also very convenient. There was anything you could possibly need available for your use and the location was fantastic. Such a beautiful area. The weather didn't necessarily cooperate with us during our short two nights, but it didn't hold us back. The hot tub was much appreciated after a cold and snowy day exploring as well. I would love to go back and stay longer. Highly recommend! If you are looking to stay in this area, stay here.

Margret’s house is so wonderfull! Everything was perfect for our two families (4 adultes and 1 child). The house and the view are amazing and everything is perfect here: everything is clean, the kitchen is very practical, the decoration is beautifull… and the jacuzzi!!!! we could not expect something better. Thanks to Margret who has been really responsive and who help us every time we asked her something or needed an advice. I can only suggest you to stay in this house, it was the most beautifull place I have been through airbnb.

A beautifully decorated and finished house in a picturesque harbour town. This is a perfect holiday home, with everything you need and no clutter. It's stylishly furnished and has a cosy feel. There is a spacious outdoor area, with a hot tub! The location is perfect with a supermarket, playground, swimming pool, restaurants and the harbour all within easy walking distance. We had a fantastic time staying here and would love to go back!

Such a beautiful house which totally accommodated for our large family. I was impressed with the amenities in the kitchen. Nothing was lacking. Everything was perfectly clean and new and beautiful and we couldn't be happier with the stay. Hands down one of the best Icelandic airbnb's we've been to.

Beautiful home, much better than anticipated and more modern /fresh than the pictures imply. We loved staying here! We did an early morning/ sunrise hike to the basalt lighthouse and it was phenomenal. Tip: If you want to eat at one of the restaurants, make sure to get reservations early. Places close early in Stykkisholm and there are just a few restaurants.

Anna’s house is really a nice place to stay and Anna is a very good host to communicate with. She asked our preference and gave us a lot of travel advice in advance. The house is cozy but the decoration style is fantastic. Had a really great time in there!

Thorbjorn was a wonderful host (responsive and helpful with lots of local recommendations) and the place was great! Close enough to town to walk to the harbor and to town while being remote enough to enjoy the quiet. The views from the living room were great at sunset. The location was perfect for a home base for exploration of the Snaefellsnes peninsula and our search for the northern lights. There were 3 of us staying in the house and the amount of space worked out well. The house was very cute and clean. Would love to stay there again!

We loved staying at Kolbrun’s place, it was perfect for my family. The house is large, comfortable and beautifully presented throughout. It was ideally situated to explore the peninsula in a quiet area away from the main road, but also close to the supermarket and facilities of Stykkishólmur. The view from the terrace and the hot tub/sauna were the icing on the cake. Kolbrun was very helpful and responsive as a host.
