Wir haben uns auf Anhieb in der Unterkunft sehr wohl gefühlt. Es war alles sehr ordentlich und sauber. Die Umgebung ist ruhig. Wir waren 4 Erwachsene und 3 Kleinkinder. An Platz mangelt es nicht und auch für die Kinder ist alles sicher und gemütlich. Die Gastgeberin war sehr aufmerksam und hat uns alles bereit gestellt was man zur Versorgung braucht, auch der Check-In verlief einwandfrei. Katrinn hat uns genau über die Lage und den Ablauf informiert, trotz nächlicher Ankunft war sie und Asta gut erreichbar. Wir sind Katrinn unglaublich dankbar und würden die Unterkunft, wie auch sie als Gastgeberin immer wieder weiter empfehlen!

The cabin was thoughtfully decorated. Also, a private and peaceful place close to bigger town and outdoor attractions.

I’ve recently stayed here for 3 nights with my 2 sisters and my elderly mother. The place was perfect for us to enjoy the golden circle over a few days, taking a little more time than the shorter bus tours (I hired a car). We stocked up at a supermarket in Reykjavik and ate in every night after a days sight seeing. The kitchen was great and well equipped for our needs. We also enjoyed the view and the hot tub. Adam was helpful providing a list of information and useful links including the exact location which was key as AirBnB seemed to be pointing us somewhere else. The only issues we had was initially struggling to open the door (think this was me) and also while the wi fi was no issue we struggled with the TV but as we didn’t really need it, it was no bother. I would happily recommend this property to anyone (and stay there again), just as long as you are clear that you need someone to drive and recommend stocking up on supplies to enjoy the place in the evening.

This was our favourite stay in Iceland! It was beautifully nestled in the snowy mountains. The facilities were great, and the hot tub out in the snow was incredible! Would highly recommend staying here!

Amazing stay! The location was unbeatable and the house was absolutely perfect, comfortable, clean, and had everything we needed. One of the highlights was relaxing in the hot tub at night, looking up at the sky hoping to catch a glimpse of the northern lights, and we did! Seeing them for the first time from the hot tub made the whole experience unforgettable. Everything combined made our stay truly special. Highly recommend this place!

Checkin was a breeze and Alfa was extremely helpful throughout our entire stay. Truly a beautiful home with everything you need, especially if you’re traveling with kids. Views from the home are absolutely stunning and the interior is very warm and welcoming. My family and I enjoyed our stay and would absolutely love to visit again.

Wir hatten einen schönen Aufenthalt in der Unterkunft. Es ist warm, gemütlich, ruhig & makellos sauber gewesen. Der geothermische Pool ist ein Traum und man kann sich nach den Wanderungen wunderbar erholen. Sehr zu empfehlen :).

Duidelijke instructies van de host, snelle reactie bij vragen. Klein schattig huisje, met alles er op en er aan! Natuur is erg mooi rondom het park, voor van winkels moet je wel wat verder rijden, maar goed bereikbaar met eigen auto. Top verblijf gehad!

Een heerlijke week overnacht in het huisje en getourt door de Golden Circle. 3x het noorderlicht gezien door weinig lichtvervuiling in de buurt! Fijn dat er vloerverwarming aanwezig was om het huisje op temperatuur te houden.

It was a joy to stay at Stina's Cottage, was a beautiful home and gave us a great opportunity to enjoy Iceland. The hot tub was a great addition and we got to see the Northern Lights from it on our last night! Highly recommend this place!!

One of our memorable accommodation is this one with its very lovely cabin inside and out. It’s so cozy we dont want to leave! Everything we need is right there and it’s spotless. We learned of the story of the cabin and it became a more special stay. Thank you for allowing us to arrive early and all the suggestions we can do around the area. It was easy communicating with you and we had a fantastic stay!

Wir hatten schöne 2 Tage in dieser Unterkunft. Es war alles noch sehr neu und sauber und sah genauso aus wie auf den Bildern. Außerdem war die Küche super ausgestattet. Wir haben von dort den Golden Circle erkundet.

A great location to use as a base to explore everything the beautiful Icelandic country has to offer. We stayed for 6 days after Christmas 2024, the cabin was cosy warm, the beds super comfy and had everything we needed. The kids loved the snow.

fantastic spot, wonderful host and spacious.....most importantly it was spotless and had every amenity you could imagine. the sauna was top notch with an amazing view and the house rules were very reasonable and easy to follow. would absolutely stay again!

Secluded enough for privacy and peace but close enough to markets and restaurants. We really enjoyed star gazing from the hot tub. There was no light pollution so we saw hundreds of stars. The cabin is super cozy and so cute.

We have never stayed in a more beautiful setting! This cottage is the perfect retreat and Kristine was an amazing host. There were so many details upon arrival—fresh flowers, chocolates, robes & slippers, cookies—we felt like royalty! The cottage has everything you need and the pictures don't do the scenery justice! Highly recommend and we hope to be back some day.

What can I say. As per the pics and amazing. We were 2 adults and 2 teenage children staying for 4 nights. The house is private and secluded, set in breathtaking scenery. It’s 15 mins from lots of supermarkets or fast food outlets which are reasonable. About 20 mins from downtown and any attractions. 40 mins from the airport. Clean, with everything you need for a relaxing stay after a day in Iceland. We hiked a mountain you can see from the lounge window. Amazing views. You can see the northern lights from the house most nights as long as it’s clear. Host was great and responsive through messaging. We made a booking mistake and she changed it without any drama. Looking at MOST places to rent for a few days in Iceland, this is next level. For us as a family it was what we wanted. Private, comfortable, quiet, special. You probably only go to Iceland once… it’s special…do it right. Rent this now.

Elsa's place was great! Very clean, exactly as described. Definitely recommend for anyone planning to stay in the area!

Had a fantastic stay at Gunnar's cottage. Everything we needed was at hand in the cottage. It was warm and cozy and and perfect for relaxing in the evening. We used the hot tub a couple of times and it was great. Managed to see the northern lights during our stay and it's a perfect location for seeing them and travelling around the Golden circle. Would definitely stay again.

We had a wonderful stay, the cabin is lovely. The owners were super friendly and helpful, we will definitely come back again! 😊
