Our stay was perfect, the house was cozy and fully equipped with everything for cooking. Grocery store within walking distance with near by restaurants/bars. Great central location to excursions. Nice neighborhood, very very clean bathroom and kitchen. Our host was very responsive very fast. We will definitely be staying here again.

This home is beautiful, and the host is very responsive. The house has everything you need for a lovely stay. It is easy to travel towards Keflavik, Vik, or Reykjavík from the home. We were able to fit nine people comfortably.

Clean and comfortable home was just right for some recuperation on a rainy day with plenty of space for my family of four. The location was great to access the golden circle and south coast destinations once the weather cleared up. Communication was great and both check in and check out was a breeze. The deck feels very private. The kitchen was well stocked with tools and appliances. Location is very close to grocery stores for self-catering and there are restaurants nearby if you would rather not cook.

Asta was so helpful with local recommendations, and her house was clean welcoming. We had everything we needed right at our fingertips. The sauna and hot tub were great for relaxing. The location was perfectly central for exploring the Reykjavik peninsula.

The house was spacious, clean , tidy and we felt at home. All amenities and description were the same as in the advertisement in air B&B. Nice neighbourhood and easy to walk to the supermarket although we had a car. Definitely recommend to others Kjartan was a great host before and during our stay . Iceland is a lovely country.

This AirBnB was perfect for our family of 6! We all had our own bedrooms (2 couples, 2 singles) and enough common area to spread out, if we wanted. Kitchen had everything we needed to cook meals and Inga even left a welcome basket of snacks and breakfast items! The place also has a washer & dryer, which we used after swimming, twice! The heated floors were a God-send during the December cold. We had an electrical issue and they promptly got an electrician out to fix it. Worked perfectly after that! The location is at the end of a street in a quiet neighborhood. There is a walking trail close by but we never used it because we visited in December and it was too cold for us. Other amenities are available at the house, like a hot tub and outdoor living area, but we did not use those because of the cold weather. They look like a wonderful addition for a warmer-weather visit. I highly recommend this location and the wonderful hosts!!

Nice house in in good area, a lot of space and light. Many games and toys for kids! 10 min by walk to the bus terminal.

We were absolutely amazed when we walk in to the house. Hjordis’s house is even nicer than in to the photos! House was very stylish, clean and cozy and with all little details which were waiting there for us we were really amazed. There were also provided everything you should need during your stay here. Also instructions was very clear so we didn’t have a problem with anything. It was also great location for our shorter Icelandic trip and we catch everything we wanted to see from there.

What’s an absolutely beautiful family home . We felt right at home here . so much that I didn’t want to come back home to England :( very spacious decorated lovely . It was the middle of winter and it was extremely warm for us as well. It was decorated beautifully with Christmas decorations and lots of treats left for us . Thankyou nothing was a problem . looked after the family Cat who was absolutely delightful And no trouble at all . Very close to everything supermarket round the corner, got everywhere very easy was really sad to leave. Would definitely love to come back one day. Thankyou so much xxx

What a wonderful place and in the perfect location for exploring the Golden Circle. The house was plenty big for the eight adults in our group, and we were all able to spread out, but also come together for meals and games. Although we didn’t use it, the hot tub was a great amenity. Our host was wonderful and very responsive when I contacted her with a question before booking and also when I needed to turn off the security system. We would highly recommend staying here.

We had two unfortunate last minute cancellations from other host so didn’t find their place until the day before our stay. It was nicer than either and wish we would have just booked with them first. So, thankful to them for making our last few days in Iceland a perfect end to our trip!

We had an excellent stay at The Mountain Villa in early February. Hafþór and Björn were gracious hosts, responding to queries quickly and providing clear instructions to find and access the place. The villa itself was as charming and idillic as we had expected, everything was perfectly clean and tidy on arrival and the facilities were fantastic; we particularly enjoyed the sauna and cold plunge after long days exploring. Flúðir was a quiet little village but perfect for what we wanted, with enough options to eat and drink for the short time we were there, and easily walkable from the villa. The hospitality at Restaurant Minilik was particularly excellent, and the Secret Lagoon is definitely worth a visit too! The Mountain Villa was a perfect hub to explore the region, with lots of sights and walks within a 30 minute drive, and a good place to travel further into the South from. Overall, a perfect stay and we hope to visit again in the future! Thank you Hafþór and Björn!

This was a really beautiful place to stay, we loved it. House was spotless and so well equipped and warm. Most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept in! Location was amazing and the views are incredible. The high snow fall did make getting out of the driveway difficult, but that was part of the adventure.

This was the best place we have ever stayed as a family. Sigurdurs place is beautiful with the most stunning view. The house is spacious and very warm and cosy. It is absolute heaven, the perfect escape to the countryside with a chance of seeing the northern lights over the lake. I would definitely recommend Sigurdur’s place to everyone. Thank you so much for letting us spend time in your home.

AMAZING!!! Runar’s place was even better than we could have imagined. The Northern Lights were extremely visible to the naked eye 3 of the 4 nights we stayed. The back deck was lovely to watch Aurora dance in the sky. The furniture and bed (we only used 1 of the 4) were extremely clean and comfortable! To our surprise, the bathroom floor was heated, which was a lovely touch! We absolutely loved our stay here. It was extremely peaceful and secluded but also so close to town. We have already started talking coming back to Iceland and staying here again. It is the perfect home in the perfect location on the Golden Circle.

Family of 4, 2 adults, 2 kids. we loved it there. very warm and cosy cottage with everything we needed. we enjoyed the hot tub. it takes about 2 hours to fill up ready to use. there is a filter coffee machine, plenty of glasses, crockery, cooking utensils etc. easy walking distance to Selfoss town which is a nice place and great base to explore surrounding area. we stayed 2 nights here and visited Vik, Secret Lagoon, Seljalandsfoss falls, reynisfjara beach, strokkur geyser and would highly recommend all of these for a visit. we also saw a lava show in Vik which we would definitely recommend.

Absolutely stunning location, walking distance to a fantastic restaurant, and great amenities. Hot tub was easy to operate and the guitar was a nice extra! They have guide books available along with photography books.

Helgi's place is pretty nice, private, very quite, and with beautiful surroundings. The host is very responsive and friendly. This place really felt like home! We'll definitely stay here again next time we visit Iceland!

the accommodation was modern well equipped. windows in the right side accommodation let snow through during the recent storm. only criticism overall was for larger families renting the whole accommodation is the rooms are segregated with no real main communal space. no christmas decorations up over the festive holiday was a disappointing. would recommend for the future bookings if staying in different seasons, due to the remote locations we had extremely strong winds. overall we had a good experience.

Oskar is a super host, very responsive, friendly, understanding and helpful. The house is located in a beautiful quiet area and is exactly how it looks in the pictures. The hot tube is a really nice addition, kitchen full equipped and beds comfortable. I would happily recommend Oskar house to anyone and look forward to a return visit.

Victor’s place was a great find for us. We used it as a midpoint to go back to the Blue Lagoon, up to Pingvellir National Park, down the coast to the waterfalls and of course take in the Kerid Crater. It’s fairly remote which we loved and my husband is happy driving so that didn’t bother us. Victor gave great instructions to check in and didn’t mind when we didn’t follow them properly and bothered him for assistance. The house is well equipped and lovely and warm.

Everything was amazing, she’s very helpful and friendly and suggested us local activities around. The place is clean and the location is beautiful peaceful very good if you want to stay away from the city and have relaxing and quiet time, but also is like 20 minutes to the city, So kinda nice. We also saw the Aurora from the house. I highly recommend it and if i coming back again, will stay at this place. Thank you Katrin!!
