We had a wonderful stay here. Our family of 4 was comfortably and felt right at home for our stay. It felt very private yet I could message Sigrun for recommendations and questions anytime and she replied quickly. We highly recommend this location if you plan to visit Iceland. It’s a great ‘home base’ if you want to do day trips.

The hosts, Gerður and Óskar, were responsive and proactive in ensuring all was going well during my one week stay by checking in part-way through my stay. I appreciated the privacy given by both the location of the property and the hosts themselves. The location and property, located in Kópavogu, was exactly as described and it was a great jumping off point for exploring the surrounding rural areas and Reykjavik by car. Kópavogur is also more accessible to the airport (KEF) and south-western Iceland. I enjoyed discovering shops, restaurants and bakeries in Kópavogur as it is a more relaxed atmosphere than downtown Reykjavik which is also very accessible from this location. 10/10. Maria and her family were wonderful hosts. From letting my children play with their pets to allowing us flexible check in and out due to our flight times, this listing is an absolute gem. Great water (drinking and bathing), beautiful yard, killer views. We saw the northern lights right from our windows multiple nights. I wish we could have stayed forever!

Our stay here was perfect! Definitely the most private and homey feeling place we stayed at. The welcome gifts we received were so nice!! Jaime was super communicative and helpful. The bed was comfortable and the water pressure was amazing. Loved being able to explore outside of the main city while having a parking spot for the car we rented.

Close to Downtown Reykjavik in quiet neighborhood. Grocery’s and gas nearby. Great place!

The pictures for this house do it no justice - the place is absolutely beautiful! Very spacious with tons of light. Incredibly clean. Heated tile floors which keep the whole house warm. Ólafur is very hospitable. He provides thorough instructions and is super responsive if you have any additional questions. (We learned when using the stove/hot plate that you have to put a pan on it first so it can heat because there needs to be weight present to activate.) Our flights arrived early in the morning and he let us check in early and check out an hour late. We had an amazing time in Iceland and when we return we will be booking this house. Es gab Probleme mit dem Strom aber Katrín hat sofort reagiert und jemanden geschickt, um das Problem zu beheben. Das Haus ist sehr gemütlich, die Lage am Meer ist super und es ist sehr ruhig. Es war makellos sauber.

The ocean view from this home was absolutely stunning. The location was great, with easy access to nearby restaurants and shops. The host was incredibly helpful. I had a wonderful stay!
