雪国で雪遊びを満喫したいと思い、十日町の宿に一泊する計画を立てた。 宿泊場所は十日町駅から車で10分ほどの場所だが、バスや電車は本数が少ないです。宿主のおじいさんが行き帰りと車に乗せてくださったのでとても助かたった。 ご飯はおじいさんの手作りで名産の豚肉や手作り野菜を使った料理をご馳走になった。お値段に対して非常に豪華です。 周辺にあるグラウンドには雪が大量に積もっており、そこで雪遊びをしたり、宿にある雪洞でお酒を飲んだりできるのがとても魅力的だった。 とても親切な宿主のおじいさんとコミュニケーションを取りながら雪国を満喫できます。

Jenny is an amazing host. Very easy to communicate with she knows a ton of things to do in her area that normally you would just miss because you didn't know they existed. I had an amazing time because of her. If I could, I would rate more than 5 stars.

アメニティは人数分のフェイスタオル、バスタオル、使い捨て歯ブラシを頂けました。朝ごはんは小さめの冷凍食パンを人数分×3枚頂けました。

場所は脇道に入る様な感じで一見わかりにくいですが逆にプライベート感があってよかったです。

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Yuka's place. It was great being able to talk to her in English and learn more about the Japanese culture and her travels, as well as spending time playing with her cats. Yuka is an outstanding host and we can highly recommend anyone who would like an authentic Japanese experience.

Kazue-san was very nice! She even helped me plan a schedule to let me have the most fun possible in the limited time I was there. The room was filled with life, like a room you'd actually live in, and everything is very very clean and comfortable, feels like coming back to your own room back in your family home. The futon was very soft, smells nice, and very clean, probably the best bed I've ever slept in. She also prepared a delicious apple juice from her own farm, and prepared a warm, hearty breakfast for me in the cold morning. The bathroom is also very clean, and are arranged in the traditional Japanese style with a changing room, washing area, and bathtub. The toilet is a modern one like the ones you can find in Tokyo. If I go there again I will definitely be staying a lot longer!
